  • Since National Geographic Information System was started, topographic maps have been made with computer aided editing of digital map, instead of etching map-size negative film. topographic mapping system's necessity is growing more and more, because digital map has changed into Ver.2.0 which include attributes of feature. On the basis of the previous study for analyzing correlation between the digital map feature code and the 1/5,000 topographic map specifications and trying to develop fundamental modules which will play a core role in topographic mapping system, in this study, we apply some 1/5,000 digital maps Ver.2.0 to topographic mapping system have implemented and try to analyze the result.

  • Security-related issues in mobile communications are increasing. The security requirements of mobile communications for the mobile users include authentication of the mobile user, the data confidentiality, the data confidentiality and the location privacy of mobile user. These services require security features compatible with the wireline networks. However, wireless networks have many restrictions compare to wireline networks such as the limited computational capability of mobile equipment and limited resource(bandwidth) between a mobile user and a fixed network. So, security features for IMT-2000 are designed to meet the limited capacity. In this paper, we analyze the required security features and mechanism, and design network access security feature effective for IMT-2000 Systems. The design includes security functions allocation to each system. Finally, discuss the computational power of each system based on at]coated functions to it

  • A thermal camera is used to obtain thermal information of a certain area. However, it is difficult to depict all the information of an area in an individual thermal image. To form a high-resolution panoramic thermal image, we propose an optimized FAST (feature from accelerated segment test) algorithm to combine two or more images of the same scene. The FAST is an accurate and fast algorithm that yields good positional accuracy and high point reliability; however, the major limitation of a FAST detector is that multiple features are detected adjacent to one another and the interest points cannot be obtained under no significant difference in thermal images. Our proposed algorithm not only detects the features in thermal images easily, but also takes advantage of the speed of the FAST algorithm. Quantitative evaluation shows that our proposed technique is time-efficient and accurate. Finally, we create a mosaic of the video to analyze a comprehensive view of the scene.

  • In this paper, for efficient data classification in multispectral bands environment, a band feature extraction method using the Rough sets theroy is proposed. First, we make a look up table from training data, and analyze the properties of experimental multispectral image data, then select the efficient band usin indiscernibility relation of Rough sets theory from analysis results. Proposed method is applied to LAMDSAT TM data on 2, June, 1992. Among them, normal distributive data were experimented, mainly. From this, we show clustering trends that similar to traditional band selection results by wavelength properties, from this, we verify that can use the proposed method that centered on data properties to select the efficient bands, though data sensing environment change to hyperspectral band environments.

  • This study proposes that analysis and evaluation method of time series ultrasonic signal using the chaotic feature extrac-tion for degradation extent. Features extracted from time series data using the chaotic time series signal analyze quantitatively material degradation extent. For this purpose analysis objective in this study if fractal dimension lyapunov exponent and strange attractor on hyperspace. The lyapunov exponent is a measure of the rate at which nearby trajectories in phase space diverge. Chaotic trajectories have at least one positive lyapunov exponent. The fractal dimension appears as a metric space such as the phase space trajectory of a dynamical syste, In experiment fractal(correlation) dimensions and lyapunov experiments showed values of mean 3.837-4.211 and 0.054-0.078 in case of degradation material The proposed chaotic feature extraction in this study can enhances ultrasonic pattern recognition results from degrada-tion signals.

  • Image registration is an essential process to analyze the time series of satellite images for the purpose of image fusion and change detection. The Mutual Information (MI) is commonly used as similarity measure for image registration because of its robustness to noise. Due to the radiometric differences, it is not easy to apply MI to multi-temporal satellite images using directly the pixel intensity. Image features for MI are more abundantly obtained by employing a Gabor filter which varies adaptively with the filter characteristics such as filter size, frequency and orientation for each pixel. In this paper we employed Bidirectional Gabor Filter Energy (BGFE) defined by Gabor filter features and applied the BGFE to similarity measure calculation as an image feature for MI. The experiment results show that the proposed method is more robust than the conventional MI method combined with intensity or gradient magnitude.

  • It is increased electrical energy consumption with the development of intelligence society in office buildings and thus an energy conservation through efficient use of electricity became more important. This paper shows a reasonable design demand factor in office buildings, that was made by the systematic and statistical way considering actual conditions, such as investigated electric equipment capacity, peak power consumption, demand factor, etc., for 132 office buildings. In this dissertation, it is necessary to analyze the key features and general trend from the investigated data. It made an analysis of the feature parameters, such as average, standard deviation, median, maximum, minimun and thus it was carried linear and nonlinear regression analysis.

  • The important issue of emotion recognition from speech is a feature extracting and pattern classification. Features should involve essential information for classifying the emotions. Feature selection is needed to decompose the components of speech and analyze the relation between features and emotions. Specially, a pitch of speech components includes much information for emotion. Accordingly, this paper searches the relation of emotion to features such as the sound loudness, pitch, etc. and classifies the emotions by using the statistic of the collecting data. This paper deals with the method of recognizing emotion from the sound. The most important emotional component of sound is a tone. Also, the inference ability of a brain takes part in the emotion recognition. This paper finds empirically the emotional components from the speech and experiment on the emotion recognition. This paper also proposes the recognition method using these emotional components and the transition probability.

  • This reserch is to compare and analyze of the residence disposition and feature of ground plan on Seomi 2 Dong in An-dong and Hyun-ri in Mun-gyong. The scope of this reserch concentrated on 33-housed which are 12-housed in Seomi 2 Dong and 21-housed in Hyun-ri. The focus of this reserch is mainly to investigate the characteristic of the site, and ground plans on individual houses. As result of it, there are mostly Yeo-Kan houses (six spans sized) on Seomi 2-dong village in An-Dong on the other hand there are a lot of Straight-Houses in Hyun-ri in Mun-gyong. Otherwise in characteristic of residence, There is dissimilarity between Seomi 2-dong which located in mountainous districts has space organization of utilitarian and Hyun-Ri has justification primacy as a farm village.
