비틀림 유도파를 이용한 근지표면 전단속도 규명 (Identification of the Shear Velocities of Near Surface Soils Using Torsional Guided Waves)

  • A technique is presented that uses a circular waveguide for the measurement of the bulk shear(S-wave) velocities of unconsolidated, saturated media, with particular application to near surface soils. The technique requires the measurement of the attenuation characteristics of the fumdamental T(0,1) mode that propagates along an embedded pipe, from which the acoustic properties of the surrounding medium are inferred. From the dispersion curve analysis, the feasibility of using T(0,1) mode which is non-dispersive and have constant attenuation over all frequency range is discussed. The principles behind the technique are discussed and the results of an experimental laboratory validation are presented. The experimental data are best fitted for the different depths of wetted sand and the shear velocities as a function of depths are formulated using power law curves.

  • Power generation of wind turbine which is installed in wind farm should be measured to predict economic feasibility of wind farm. Also electric power company want to verify wind turbine performance which is stated by manufacturer. The International Electrotechnical Commission(IEC) published 61400-12-1 "Power performance measurements of electricity producing wind turbines" for test of wind turbine power performance. In this paper, measurable sector of wind speed is analysed based on IEC 61400-12-1 to verify power curve of wind turbine with various wind turbine in wind farm.

  • Distribution systems are operated in radial structure, but temporal loop structure could be founded the live load transfer. Main purposes of reconfiguration of distribution network are load balancing, loss minimization and voltage drop maintaining. In the loop structure, huge loop current can be flowed between two substations in case of large voltage angle difference. Protection devices of distribution line can be triped by this huge loop current. So, precise calculation of loop current is very important for secure switching. This paper proposes a novel calculation method of loop current using the voltage angle differences measured at the tie switches. Feasibility of the propose method has been verified by various case studies based on Matlab simulation.

  • Design and construction of freeform building technologies are being implemented to reduce time and cost due to the development of materials and equipments. However, production of freeform concrete segments takes much more time and manpower than typical due to disposable mold and various shape. Therefore, manufacturing technology of freeform concrete segments need to be developed for securing economic and constructive feasibility. The objective of this study is development of efficient casting technology for freeform concrete segments in a short time. This technology includes details about the fluidity of concrete and the sectional shape of freeform concrete segments. And problem of cost and time can be solved. Also, mold can be reusable and freeform concrete segments will be produced quickly and accurately. After this study, productivity study for validation will continue through prototype development and example application.

  • Errors in inertial navigation system(INS) can be divided into two major groups which are system related errors and modeling errors due to approximation and linearization. Measurement noise, calibration, and alignment errors make up the first group, whereas the uncertainties in the gravity vector fall in the second category and are important error source for high quality INS, especially during high altitude and and/or long time missions, when the gravity errors tent to build up. The quality of a medium to high accuracy INS depends on the knowledge of the local gravity field.   • Micro-PIV is a well-known method for measurement of two- dimensional, two-component velocity in the microfluidic devices. Lots of the micro fluidic devices generate three-dimensional flow and 3D measurement of velocity is helpful to understand the physics of micro flow phenomena. In this study, we developed new micro 3D measurement method by applying 2-frame PTV in stereoscopic micro system. In this study, we did the validation study of SMPTV by using the simulated flow model to verify the accuracy and the feasibility of measurement and compared with SMPIV method. The results showed that SMPTV provides better spatial resolution and measurement accuracy than SMPIV method.

  • This paper studies the feasibility of using the nonlinear model predictive control as a formation flight control algorithm for unmanned aerial vehicles. The optimal control inputs for formation flight are calculated through the cost function which incorporates the relative positions of the individual vehicles to maintain a desired formation and also the inequality constraints on inputs and states using the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions. In the nonlinear model predictive control setting, the optimal control inputs are implemented in a receding horizon manner, which is suitable for dealing with dynamic constraints. Numerical simulations are executed for the validation of the proposed scheme.

인지기능응용척도의 타당화를 위한 기초 연구 (A Preliminary Study for the Application of Cognitive Function Scale(ACFS) in Korean Setting)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the feasibility and validity of the Application of Cognitive Function Scale as developed by Lidz and Jepsen (1997). Data were collected from 4 to 5-years-old children. The analysis for item adequacy indicated that the passing rate increases according to age. Futhermore the analysis for test adequacy indicated that internal consistency reliability was .85 in the pre-test and .80 of post-test in terms of the cognitive function scale, and .90 of pre-test and .93 in the post-test in relation to the behavior observation scale. In conclusion, our analysis of the ACFS shows sufficiently high scores in terms of both validity and reliability, so as to indicate that this test is an appropriate way to measure the cognitive function and non-intellective function of young Korean children.

효소 전극을 이용한 유산균 측정 바이오센서 개발 (Development of an Enzyme Electrode Biosensor for Lactic Acid Bacteria)

  • This study was carried out to develop enzyme biosensor for lactic acid bacteria. Lactic acids produced by lactic acid bacteria (LAB) was measured and good correlation $R^2=0.98$ between LAB count and lactic acids concentration was found. Hydrogen ion produced by L-lactate dehydrogenase (L-LDH) was measured by a potentiometer. Glutamic-pyruvic transminase (GPT) was used for eliminating inhibitor in the reaction. Polyacrylamide gel was used for immobilizing matrix of the sensor. The biosensor was tested and showed good feasibility with $R^2=0.99$ on validation.

Intelligent Approach for Android Malware Detection

  • As the Android operating system has become a key target for malware authors, Android protection has become a thriving research area. Beside the proved importance of system permissions for malware analysis, there is a lot of overlapping in permissions between malware apps and goodware apps. The exploitation of them effectively in malware detection is still an open issue. In this paper, to investigate the feasibility of neuro-fuzzy techniques to Android protection based on system permissions, we introduce a self-adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system to classify the Android apps into malware and goodware. According to the framework introduced, the most significant permissions that characterize optimally malware apps are identified using Information Gain Ratio method and encapsulated into patterns of features. The patterns of features data is used to train and test the system using stratified cross-validation methodologies. The experiments conducted conclude that the proposed classifier can be effective in Android protection. The results also underline that the neuro-fuzzy techniques are feasible to employ in the field.
