  • Today, people share information and communicate with others using various information and communication media such as e-mail, smartphones, SNS, etc. However, it is being used in malicious attacks to send a large amount of illegal spam or to use it for fraud by using illegally collected personal information and devices that are vulnerable to security. Illegal spam, smishing, and fraudulent mail(SCAM) cause a lot of direct and indirect damage to companies and users, including not only social costs such as mental fatigue, but also unnecessary consumption of IT infrastructure resources and economic losses. Although there are regulations related to spam, violators of the law are still on the rise by circumventing the law, and victims are constantly occurring, so it is necessary to review what the problem is. This study examined domestic and foreign spam-related regulations and spam-related response activities, identified problems, and suggested improvement countermeasures. Through this study, it was intended to suggest directions for improving spam-related systems in order to block illegal spam and prevent fraudulent damage.

  • Background: Sarcopenia is a new and emerging risk factor aggravating the quality of life of elderly population. Because Korean Red Ginseng (RG) is known to have a great effect on relieving fatigue and enhancing physical performance, it is invaluable to examine its potential as an anti-sarcopenic drug. Methods: Anti-sarcopenic effect of non-saponin fraction of Korean Red Ginseng (RGNS) was evaluated in C2C12 myoblasts treated with C2-ceramide to induce senescence phenotypes, and 22-month-old mice fed with chow diet containing 2% RGNS (w/w) for 4 further months. Results: The RGNS treatment significantly alleviated cellular senescence indicated by intracellular lipid accumulation, increased amount of lysosomal β-galactosidase, and reduced proliferative capacity in C2C12 myoblasts. This effect was not observed with saponin fraction. In an aged mouse, the 4-month-RGNS diet significantly improved aging-associated loss of muscle mass and strength, assessed by the weights of hindlimb skeletal muscles such as tibialis anterior (TA), extensor digitorum longus (EDL), gastrocnemius (GN) and soleus (SOL), and the cross-sectional area (CSA) of SOL muscle, and the behaviors in grip strength and hanging wire tests, respectively. During the same period, an aging-associated shift of fast-to slow-twitch muscle in SOL muscle was also retarded by the RGNS treatment. Conclusions: These findings suggested that the long-term diet of RGNS significantly prevented aging-associated muscle atrophy and reduced physical performance, and thus RGNS has a strong potential to be developed as a drug that prevents or improves sarcopenia.

  • Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) modeling is highly effective to reveal deformations, fatigue failures, and stresses on a solid domain caused by the fluid flow. Mechanical properties of the solid structures and the thermophysical properties of fluids can change under different operating conditions. In this study, we investigated the interaction of [45/-45]2 wounded composite tubes with the fluid flows suddenly pressurized to 5 Bar, 10 Bar, and 15 Bar at the ambient temperatures of 24℃, 66℃, and 82℃, respectively. Numerical analyzes were performed under each temperature and pressure condition and the results were compared depending on the time in a period and along the length of the tube. The main purpose of this study is to present the effects of the variations in fluid characteristics by temperature and pressure on the structural response. The variation of the thermophysical properties of the fluid directly affects the deformation and stress in the material due to the Wall Shear Stress (WSS) generated by the fluid flow. The increase or decrease in WSS directly affected the deformations. Results show that the increase in deformation is more than 50% between 5 Bar and 10 Bar for the same operating condition and it is more than 100% between 5 Bar and 15 Bar by the increase in pressure, as expected in terms of the solid mechanics. In the case of the increase in the temperature of fluid and ambient, the WSS and Von Mises stress decrease while the slight increases of deformations take place on the tube. On the other hand, two-way FSI modeling is needed to observe the effects of hydraulic shock and developing flow on the structural response of composite tubes.

  • This study is an experiment on the use of RDW(Redirected Walking) technology, which helps users to hardly feel the difference of user movement in the limited physical space and the extended virtual space when the user moves while wearing the HMD in the real world. The RDW function installed in 3D space realization software such as Unity3D is used to induce the user's redirection by slightly distorting the virtual space according to the user's point of view. However, if the RDW distortion rate is used excessively, dissonance is highly likely to occur. In particular, it is easy to make errors that cause cybersickness of users. It is important to obtain the RDW data value in the virtual environment so that the user does not feel fatigue and cybersickness even after wearing the HMD for a long time. In this experiment, it was tested whether the user's RDW was safely implemented, and item and obstacle arrangement data were obtained through this experiment. The RDW data obtained as a result of the experiment were used for item placement and obstacle placement in the virtual space.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to examine the effects of forward head posture on the flexion-relaxation ratio (FRR) and muscle activity during sustained neck flexion and to investigate the correlation between craniovertebral angle and FRR. Methods: Nineteen subjects participated in this study and were allocated to a forward head posture (FHP) group or a non-forward head posture (NFHP) group. Craniovertebral angle (CVA) and FRR were measured in all subjects, and all participants performed a standardized cervical flexion-extension movement in two phases: Phase I, sustained cervical full flexion for 5s; and Phase II, cervical extension with the return to the starting position for 5s. The value of CVA has calculated three times, and the value of FRR was measured three times in order to obtain the mean value. Results: FRR values in the FHP and NFHP group were significantly different (p<0.05). Phase I was significantly different, but the Phase II was not significantly different between the FHP and NFHP group (p>0.05). There was a significant correlation between the muscle activity of Phase I and CVA (p<0.05). However, FRR and the muscle activity of the Phase II were not a significant correlation with the CVA (p>0.05). Conclusion: FHP increases the muscle activity of the cervical erector spinae during sustained neck flexion and reduces FRR, which can cause fatigue in the cervical erector spinae. In addition, for those with a smaller CVA, muscle activity of the cervical erector spinae is increased during sustained neck flexion, which can increase neck muscle tension.

  • Objectives: This study aimed to identify whether herbal medicine improves the clinical symptoms and abnormal blood tests of a patient with fatty liver accompanied by hypertriglyceridemia. Methods: A 44-year-old man with fatty liver and hypertriglyceridemia was prescribed Saenggangunbi-tang from July 20, 2020, to November 11, 2020, to reduce fatigue and to improve laboratory findings, such as liver enzymes and the lipid profile. We observed changes in symptoms, serum levels of liver enzymes, and the lipid profile during about 4-month treatment. We also recorded changes in the bioelectrical impedance analyzer findings during that time. Results: In this case study, an approximately 4-month treatment with Saenggangunbi-tang led to considerable improvement in laboratory findings and visceral fat area. In particular, the patient experienced a noticeable decrease in triglyceride levels compared with the baseline parameters of the first visit. In addition, no side effects-including weight gain and liver enzyme increases-were observed during treatment. Conclusion: This study suggests that appropriately prescribed herbal medicine is a therapeutic option to manage fatty liver combined with hypertriglyceridemia.

  • Background: The working conditions of bus drivers are difficult; they lead to occupational diseases and require careful study, particularly in Ukraine. The objective of the article is the description of occupational health risks of passenger bus drivers that lead to deteriorating health. Methods: The risk assessment was performed using a modified Risk Score method, which allowed determining the generalized level of danger to the driver's health. The hygienic hazards level was assessed as based on Stevenson's law, which was generalized later. Results: Based on the modification of the Risk Score method, it was possible to depart from expert assessments method of the risk level and calculate the general indicator based on the degree of dependence of the impact on the human body on its intensity, proposed by V. Minko. This allows objective determining of the impact of hygiene hazards on the health of the driver and to predict the occurrence of occupational diseases associated with the cardiovascular system, musculoskeletal system, and partial or complete disability due to the accumulation of emotional fatigue. The hazard assessment was carried out for three brands of passenger buses common in Ukraine, in which the driver is exposed to the dangers of fever, vibration, noise, harmful impurities in the bus cabin, and emotional load. Conclusion: The health of drivers in the cabins of passenger buses is most affected by hygiene hazards: fever, vibration, and emotional stress. The generalized level of risk is calculated by the modified method of Risk Score is 0.83; -0.99, -0.92 respectively.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive the damage weak part of the elastic rail fastening system for concrete tracks (System 300-1). In the concrete tracks, the elastic rail fastening system sticks the rail and the sleeper and reacts all the time when the train is running. Among the components of the rail fastening system, the resilience pad and tension clamp were fatigue members and were constantly deformed in response to compressive and uplift forces. In this study, the residual deformation characteristics of the tension clamp according to the period of use were analyzed using by specimens taken on site in the same section for 6, 11, and 16 years on the serviced urban transit. In addition, the damage mechanisms for each component were derived based on finite element analysis. As a result of the numerical analysis, the stress (strain) of each part of the tension clamp according to the external force from the applied clamping force was analyzed to derive the damaged weak part of the tension clamp.

  • As the online game market grows, the use of game bots is causing the most serious problem for game services. We propose a harvest coordinate analysis model to detect harvesting bots among game bots of the Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games(MMORPGs) genre. The proposed model analyzes the player's harvesting behavior using the coordinate data. Game bots can obtain in-game goods and items more easily than normal players and are not affected by realistic restrictions such as sleep time and character manipulation fatigue. As a result, there is a difference in harvesting coordinates between normal players and game bots. We divided the coordinate zones and used these coordinate zone differences to distinguish between game bot players and normal players. We created a dataset with NCSoft's AION log and applied it to a random forest model to detect game bots, and as a result, we derived performance with a recall of 0.72 and a precision of 0.92.
