  • These days are referred to as 'the times of textile fashion,' owing to the emphasis on textile design in the fashion industry. Accordingly, apparel companies have increased their interests in developing new types of textiles to overcome the limits of style and silhouette. Now the ultra-fashion of textile, a new way of process and design development, is given much more attention. A Moire interference pattern has a longer wavy circle of interference, an effect of intensity interference, than one made by piling more than one reflecting plate or transmitting plate. Till now, Moire interference patterns have been used to confirm scientific theory and to measure the structure of a body or a subject in areas such as physics and medical science. Work has also been done on the Moire interference effects on TV screens said to cause dizziness and eye strain. This study focuses on the new types of textiles by creating the appearance of the Moire phenomena. Contrary to the present usual stationary patterns of textiles, it is a varying pattern according to the different gratings, different angles, piling gratings, and the movements of the human bodies. In the preceding study, we observed Moire fringes formed by overlapping two different or same kinds of gratings such as parallel line gratings, square gratings, conic gratings and semicircular gratings and tried to find a promising possibility of new textiles through the method of clothes design simulation.

  • In an information-oriented and internationalized society of the future, the quality and the price of goods made by each country will be equalized. That eliminates competition. But the design and appearance of products is an important factor in international competition. Indeed, design symbolizes a country's culture visually, and it can show the cultural identity and originality of a nation in international society. And that will play an important part that can contribute to creating added value. It is necessary to revive our people's old lyrical stories which are far away from our memory, and we badly need design development to revive traditional cultural merchandise through visual modernization. In this study, I chose lotus as the subject material of textile design development. And my intention for this study is to reflect Korean traditional cultural value as much as I can, and to develop textile design of Korean images by adding modern scenes. Also, I intend to print them on fabric, and apply them to cultural merchandise including scarves and ties, by using digital textile printing systems. The reasons for doing so, are to create high added value, and to let other peoples of the world, know about our excellent culture.

  • In view of our contemporary fashion, it is found that crossover between clothing and other items leads to creation of a new design and crossover of various cultural codes, ultimately creating a multicultural clothing design or any external outline of emerging costume designs by attempting mutual combination with other fields. Starting from a viewpoint that mutual combination style has significant effects on our contemporary fashion designs, this study intends to characterize external aspects of fashion design that changes through mutual combination style. This study focused upon analyzing costumes released by contemporary fashion designers after 2000, and addressed a variety of mutual combination styles. It gives various examples on mutual combination in fashion, seeking first to look into typical examples of mutual combination styling between fashion and art, between fashion and space and between fashion and technology. Based on those examples, this study classified crossover styles into 6 major categories such as attachment, suspension, modification, fusion, association and embedment. As a result, this study comes to a conclusion that external changes by mutual combination are characterized largely by overlap, simultaneity and deconstruction.

It was expressed aesthetic beauty by application of various kinds of art for more new and creative designs. 3. Resistance against environmental pollution or ecosystem destruction caused by scientific technology and industrial development pursed ecology, so lots of natural patterns were used. 4. It was persued beauty of simplicity and visual angels by using geometrical graphism. 5. Self-consciousness or resistance of period was expressed by deconstructive symbol. Accordingly, textile design is expressed related to the trend of modern fashion, the current thought of the times, social phenomenon and art. So we need various analysis on above factors. • 3D printing technology, which is expected to play a leading role within the Fourth Industrial Revolution, is becoming distinguished not only in the space, automotive, medical and engineering industries, but also in the area of design. The fashion and textile structures created by 3D printing technology were classified into three types - basic structure, unified structure, and a new physical structure. When traditional weaving, knitting, and stitching was reinterpreted through 3D printing, there were apparent limitations in reproducing the characteristics of fabric structures due to differences in the materials and structures of traditional textiles. New physical structures are being developed to break away from merely reproducing traditional textile structures, and to bring out the characteristics of 3D printing technology. As examples of new physical structures, there are the kinematics structure which utilizes the hinge method, mesostructure cellular material, and the N12 disk structure. Such techniques potentially open a new paradigm of fashion and textile structures. Some innovative aspects of 3D printing technology may result in changes in the methods of collaboration, manufacturing, and distribution. Designers are receiving help from specialists of various backgrounds to merge 3D printing technology to create original works. Also, 3D printing not only makes personalized custom designs available, but shortens the distribution channels, foretelling a change within the fashion and textile industry.

  • This study aims to determine the effects of the experiences of ZEPETO platform users on their attitudes and purchase intentions. A survey on 10-20 Korean and Chinese virtual fashion consumers was conducted. Brand experiences were independent variables, and offline purchase was the dependent variable. The results showed that, first, among the four factors of the brand experience, Korea and China have the highest explanatory power. Second, the brand experience of Korean consumers significantly impacted their brand attitude. Additionally, cognitive and emotional experiences of the brand positively impacted their brand attitude. Third, the brand experience of Chinese consumers significantly affected their brand attitude, and among the sub-factors of brand experience, cognitive experience positively affected brand attitude. Fourth, the brand experience of Chinese consumers significantly influenced their offline purchase intention, and among the sub-factors of brand experience, cognitive experience positively influenced their offline purchase intention. Overall, an emotional branding strategy that provides brand and product information must be implemented for the Korean market encouraging consumers to develop a positive and emotional connection with the brand. The Chinese market would benefit from formulating a reliable branding strategy that easily provides a wide range of brand and product information focusing on cognitive experiences.

  • In this study, an eye-tracking program that can confirm a design cognition process was developed for the purpose of presenting strategic methods to create fashion images, and the program was used to identify what effects fashion models' external characteristics have on the cognition of design. The data for analysis were collected through an eyemovement tracking experiment and a survey, with the focus on the research problem that differences in models' external uniformity will lead to differences in the eye movement for perceiving models and design as well as the image sensibility. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, it was confirmed that the uniformity of model types and the simplicity/complexity of design led to differences in the eye movement directed at design and models and the gaze ratio. Consequently, it is deemed that models should be selected in consideration of the characteristics of design and the intention of planning when creating fashion images. Second, it was found that in terms of the cognition of design, external conditions of models affect design sensibility. A change in models led to a subtle difference in sensibility cognition even when the design condition did not change. Thus, not only the design but also model attributes are factors that should be considered important in fashion planning.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the sensibility of the compound fashion image of contemporary fashion. The specific objectives were to analyze 1)the structure of meaning about fashion sensibility on 2)the difference of fashion sensibility by categories on 3)the difference of fashion sensibility by demographical aspects on 4)the consumer sensibility on the compound fashion image. For collecting data 55 stimulus and questionnaire which consisted of bi-polar 21 pairs adjective scale were contributed 675. The results were summarized as following : 1. Factors of fashion sensibility consist of estheticism, activeness, personality and feminity. And the meaning of fashion sensibility is young and personalty. 2. The man/woman and the past/present are highly estimated personality, the main/subcultural is activeness and the local/global is feminity of fashion sensibilities. 3. gender and age have high difference of the compound fashion image so they are important variance for fashion sensibilities. 4. Preference, purchase and quality are highly influenced by estheticism, pleasure is influenced by personality. The results of this study will be utilized in the clothing design for accepting customers' specific fashion sensibility about compound fashion image.
