산업용 Turbo형 송풍기의 Cutoff 각도에 따른 유동특성 (Flow Characteristics due to Cutoff angle of Turbo-Fan for Industries)

  • This study aims to analyze the flow characteristics of turbo-fan which is applied to the industrial field. Numerical analysis has been carried out to investigate the pulsation behavior of exhaust air flown out turbo fan by rotating impeller with constant speed. Moving mesh technique is proved as time-accurate solution for the flow inside impeller. As numerical results come within the error range of 1% by comparing with theoretical results, the numerical analysis can be verified. Cutoff angle has large influence on the amplitude of pulsation and the least pulsation of flow can be generated by the cutoff angle of $20^{\circ}$.

제트팬 이격거리에 따른 연기제어특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Smoke Control Characteristic by the Effect off Jet Fan Installation Distance)

  • 본 연구에서는 도로터널에서의 화재발생 시 최적의 방재시스템을 구축하기 위하여 실제 터널의 축소모형을 대상으로 제트팬의 위치 및 운전방식에 따른 연기의 유동 및 교란을 가시화함으로서 연기의 전파특성을 고찰하여 제트팬 운전방식의 타당성을 연기의 농도 분포에 의하여 검토하였다. 실험 결과로 화원으로부터 상류방향으로 근접한 제트팬 운전 시에는 연기의 역류를 방지하기위하여 화원과 제트팬의 거리는 최소 50 m이상 이격시켜야 한다. 반면에 화원으로부터 하류방향으로 근접한 제트팬 운전 시에는 모든 조건에 대하여 연기의 편류가 발생하지 않으나 하류방향으로 흐르는 연기의 성층화에 영향을 주기 때문에 사용이 불가능하다.

Head up Display용 냉각시스템 (The Cooling System for Head up Display)

  • Head up display’s cooling system is auto-diagnosed resulting from the external environment. The quantity of heat depending on this Head up display’s cooling system layout determines the speed of FAN for system cooling. In other words, a system’s heat quantity is planned through the air density depending on altitude, the amount of wind in air depending on FAN control condition, and the algorithm that is proportional to delta temperature. To detect the altitude, we use the criteria of delta T, which is determined by the subtracted value of LED junction temperature, and atmospheric temperature that is recorded on the Head up display system. Depending on the classification of delta T value, the altitude section is determined. While we can use GPS as the tool to detect the altitude, we should predict the change of the air density as the altitude alters, and should not just measure the altitude. And the value of delta T is used as the criterion of detecting the altitude for increasing the cooling efficiency of the car’s inner Head up display system with reflecting the speed of the FAN dependent upon the air density. In our theory, altitude is depending on the value of delta T and stabilizing or maintaining the system’s temperature by changing FAN’s rpm depending on determined value of altitude.

산업용 유량제어 송풍기 베인댐퍼 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of Vane Damper for Industry Flow Control Fan)

  • In this study, it was conducted to design each components of vane damper for industrial flow control fan and the flow rates were analysed by experimental and numerical method. Through environmental test, it could be confirmed that the designed vane damper was appropriate. Also, almost identical results with test could be drawn from numerical method. Finally, flow rates of electric and pneumatic actuator were measured by test. As the results, difference of flow rate according to opening ratio was smaller in pneumatic actuator than that in electric actuator.

자동차 HVAC용 Blower Unit 내부 유동장의 PIV 계측 (PIV Measurement of Flow Inside of HVAC Blower Unit)

  • Flow characteristics inside a blower unit of an automotive HVAC module were investigated experimentally using a high-resolution PIV technique. The PIV system consists of a 2-head Nd:YAG laser, a high-resolution CCD camera, optics and a synchronizer. The prototype siroco-fan with forward-curved blades was operated under the same condition of real car. The scroll casing was made transparently for capturing clear flow images. The time-averaged velocity fields were measured in three cross sections. Flow is accelerated with going toward the outer wall of scroll due to centrifugal force and large pressure gradient formed in the region between the fan and the outer casing wall. The presence of the cut-off region and diffusing duct of fan outlet influences largely the flow structure inside the blower unit.

환풍기용 외전형 단상 브러시리스 직류전동기 개발 (Development of Single-phase Brushless DC Motor with Outer Rotor for Ventilation Fan)

  • This paper is development of single-phase brushless DC motor with outer rotor for ventilation fan. Cogging torque causes the noise vibration to greatest impact on ventilation fan. Asymmetric notches are applied to tapered-teeth for cogging torque reduction of single-phase brushless DC motor. Initial model is notchless and proposed model is applied 2 asymmetric notches. The proposed method is proved motor characteristic through finite element analysis(FEA). Also, experimental results verify that the proposed model considerably reduces cogging torque and have the good sound quality in ventilation system.

  • 리드프레임의 우수한 열적/전기적 특성을 유지하면서 많은 I/O수를 수용할 수 있는 구조, 그리고 라미네이트의 디자인 팬인(Fan-in) 및 팬아웃(Fan-out) 설계 유연성을 유지하면서 가격경쟁력을 향상 시킬 수 있는 몰딩기판(Molded substrate)을 기반으로 한 RtMLF(Routable Molded Lead Frame) 패키지를 개발하였다. 개발된 패키지의 구조적 특징을 이용하여, 열적 전기적 성능의 우수성을 시뮬레이션을 통해서 확인하였으며, 제조 및 신뢰성 분석을 수행하여 생산 적용 가능성을 확인하였다.

제트 팬 위치에 따른 곡선형 장대터널의 환기해석 (Ventilation Analysis According to Jet Fan Location in Curved Long Road Tunnel)

  • In this study, the ventilation characteristics is investigated numerically of the longitudinal ventilation method in the curved long road tunnel. Numerical work has been conducted for the jet fan location by utilizing the commercial finite-volume code, FLUENT. Configuration of the tunnel is three-lane, 1600 m long, $120m^2$ in area, 3000 m curvature radius. The velocity profile, distribution of mono-dioxide carbon and flow rate of air are examined in the tunnel. Through the analysis, it is found that the difference of ventilation flow rate Is a little by the jet fan location, but tunnel outlet setup (CASEIII) of jet fans is the most efficient concerned with CO concentration.
