This study is about Tak Mok theory of feng-shui ideology which was main thought in Choson dynasty or some other thoughts and noble families' thought of garden building : planting trees and properties of the noble families garden. The result from the study of noble family's garden molding is as follows. In the noble family's garden molding, there were considerations of plant ecology known through long experience and the functional aspect of planting tree and esthetic sense of housing circumstances, in addition to feng-shui thought, Taoist thought and the doctrine of the five natural elements of the positive vs. negative. We can learn Choson's noble family's garden included playroom as well as symbolic and incantatory meaning. Also in the thought of noble family's garden molding we can found proper element for modern housing plan such as an ecological peculiarity or functional aspect of dwelling circumstance. And we can also found they didn't show a rejection symptoms against nature but enclosed with straight form which was traditional trait, and each space of it is composed organically. Also we knew they selected a diverse and refined technique with it's decorating the Choson dynasty playful and meditative space. We found that the key point of the thought of noble family's garden molding were on the basis of Confucianal mood, content amid poverty thought and free technique of it.
A Study of the Abilities of House-keeping of Korean Female Students. We tend to have much trouble in doing house-keeping with the lack of practical experience in our daily life in this age of information because we learn more things by vicarious experiences with the help of communication media such as radio, T.V. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the education of house-keeping and teaching of home economics which are essential to female students who will become good house-wives and good members of families. In this thesis, the fundamental items of every day life such as food, costume, and home management were made out in a questionnaire with a view to evaluating the abilities of students' house keeping by these data. A random sample was taken composing of juniors and seniors with the sample size, n = 581, out of the universities and Colleges in Korea ; i.e., Yonsei Univ., Korea Univ., Ewha Univ., Sukmyong Univ., Sung Shim Womans' College (at choon chun), Duk Sung Womans' College, etc. It is to be noted that home economics majors were excluded. The results are as follows 1. Out of the total 25 fundamental items about food the average ability in the case of "I can" is only 11 items, "I have experience" 7 items, and "I have no experience" 7 items. 2. Out of the total 20 fundamental items about costume the average ability, in the case of "I can" is 4 items, and "I have experience" 8 items, and "I have no experience" 8 items. 3. Out of the total 20 fundamental items about home management, the average ability, in the case of "I can" is 5-items. "I have experienc" 8-items, and "I have no experience" 6-items. The following conclusions have been reached on the basis of the above survey : a) On the whole students are poorest at practical house-keeping. b) It is to be pointed our that female students have little experience to participate in practical house keeping every daily life c) Female students are apt to have the self-confidence that they can carry on the house-keeping well. d) One may emphasize the point which tends to be neglected in home-education : each house wife should have the ability of practical house-keeping, mutual under-standing among family members, a sense of responsibility, coorperation and services as a good member of family.

Feature of mountain expressed as dragon and four important hills of the house are analyzed in chapter 3, Highly regarded factors for site selection by the scholar of the Realist School of Confucianism such as wind environment, the front and back of the Hyunmubong and building orientation are analyzed in chapter 4. Finally Pungsu applied in architectural space is analyzed in chapter 5. Result: The house considered Pungsu to some extent, but it shows the appearance contrary to the Pungsu in a certain part in order to show authority and proud as the house of the relatives of the King. An optimization algorithm is developed based on a simulation case of a single family house model equipped with PV arrays. To increase the nationwide use of PV power generation facilities, a market-competitive electricity price needs to be introduced, which is determined based on the time of use. In this study, quadratic programming optimization was applied to minimize the electricity bill while maintaining the indoor temperature within allowable error bounds. For optimization, it is assumed that the weather and electricity demand are predicted. An EnergyPlus-based house model was approximated by using an equivalent RC circuit model for application as a linear constraint to the optimization. Based on the RC model, model predictive control was applied to the management of the cooling load and electricity for the first week of August. The result shows that more than 25% of electricity consumed for cooling can be saved by allowing excursions of temperature error within an affordable range. In addition, profit can be made by reselling electricity to the main grid energy supplier during peak hours.
This study was designed to examine leisure time and leisure activities of homemakers and to predict future leisure time and future leisure time orientation. Present leisure time and future leisure time orientation were studied in relation to sociodemographic and physical environmental variables, time use variables and attitude variables. The major findings were the average daily housework time of homemakers was 6.5 hours on weekends. Housework time of employed homemakers was 3.5 hours and full-time homemakers was 8.0 hours. Daily leisure time of homemakers was 4.0 hours on weekdays and 4.8 hours o weekends. Most homemakers leisure activities on weekdays and weekends were reading, watching TV or listening to the radio and resting.
