산업용 밸브의 위험요소 분석을 통한 IoT 기반 안전관리 방안 개발 (Development of IoT-based Safety Management Method through an Analysis of Risk Factors for Industrial Valves)

  • 플랜트시설의 핵심부품인 산업용 밸브에 대한 기존안전관리는 인력에 의해 관리되고 있으며 점검 영역이 넓고 시설물의 특성상 제한된 접근성을 가지고 있기 때문에 어려움이 있다. 플랜트 시설의 수많은 산업용 밸브에서 누출 및 고장 발생 시 생산중단, 독성물질 및 가연성 가스의 누출 및 폭발로 인한 인명피해, 사고 위치 파악 어려움 등의 문제점이 발생되기 때문에 사물인터넷(IoT) 기술을 기반으로 한 안전관리 및 제어 시스템이 필요하다. 이 연구에서는 IoT 기반 무선통신을 통한 산업용 밸브의 안전관리 및 액츄에이터 제어 시스템 개발 내용 중에서 위험요소 예측기술 개발과 관련 된 내용이다. 밸브의 구조적 특성 분석을 하고 고장데이터, 문헌 등으로 부터 주요 위험요소 분석, 위험요소 원인분석 및 사고시나리오 분석을 통해 주요 위험요소로 인한 사고를 예방하기 위해 IoT 기반 산업용 밸브의 안전관리 기법을 개발하였다.

노인복지주택의 설치 및 운영의 문제 사례와 개선방안 (Improvement Plans for Problem Cases in the Foundation and Management of Elderly Housing Facility)

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the realities and problem cases that occurred in the establishment and management of elderly housing facility in order to suggest the recommendations that help to improve the problem cases. For this purpose, 21 elderly housing facilities, which were established between 1996 and 2008 in Korea, were investigated with a documentary research method in terms of founders, managers, locations, the number of housing units, how to move-in. Also the problem cases that occurred in the establishment and management of 21 elderly housing facilities were investigated. The results were as followings. 1. Main founders and managers of 21 elderly housing facilities were the special companies for elderly housing, building companies, and social welfare corporation. Changes in the founders and managers were caused by financial problems; More than half of 21 elderly housing facilities were located in Seoul and near area; About a half of 21 elderly housing facilities had 100~200 housing units; An individual unit of elderly housing facilities can be rented or purchased, rented only, and purchased only. 2. The problems in the establishment and management of elderly housing facilities were non-return of deposit money, illegal sale of housing units, non-public registration of elderly housing facility, false advertisement, and unfair contract. 3. The problems in the establishment and management were mainly caused by the weakness in the regal and administration system for elderly housing and the illegal acts of founders and managers.

지능형 홈 분전반을 이용한 영유아 시설 전기 안전 관리 (A Management of Child Care Facility for Electrical Safety using Home-Smart Cabinet Panel(H-SCP))

  • We carry out a demonstration project to verify performance of a Home- Smart Cabinet Panel(H-SCP) at the child care facility. It is difficult to prevent an electrical disaster using a existing cabinet panel because electrical events are invisible and unforeseeable. So we construct a integrated information system with a Home-Smart Cabinet Panel(H-SCP) for management of low-voltage customers. The integrated information system with the H-SCP maintain the transmitted data from H-SCP, alert a electrical event to a administrator and show a state of customer health in real time respectively. A manager of electrical safety can prevent electrical disaster to maintain electrical facilities after analysis on the integrated information system.

  • High voltage motors are the core equipment of electric generation facilities and need to guarantee stable operation. Therefore, keeping healthy state is of importance by means of insulation diagnosis periodically. However, if the diagnosis went through in the different circumstances such as temperature, humidity, and impedance applied to the test equipment, the trend analysis have no significance. This paper presents the experimental results supporting the importance of keeping the same conditions under insulation diagnosis.

  • This paper statistically analyzes the time required for each failure cause and describes a diagnostic method for 159 reports of failure analysis of MV cables that occurred in the distribution system of KEPCO over the past 18 years. In addition, the manufacturer's failure rate compared to 100C-km was calculated using 381 cases of MV cable deterioration failure between 2008 and 2020. It is hoped that this paper will help those in charge of maintaining underground facilities at the business office to use the failure rate to prioritize facility diagnosis.

빗물 유출면 및 빗물 침투시설이 주거단지 유출빗물의 pH에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Impermeable Surface and Rainwater Infiltration Facilities on the Runoff pH of Housing Complexes)

  • In order to examine the effect of impermeable surface (rooftop, outdoor parking lot) and rainwater infiltration facilities on runoff pH, pH was measured. pH measurement spots were splash blocks accepted roof runoff of 3 sites, infiltration boxes and trenches accepted parking lot runoff and plastic rainwater harvesting facility accepted roof runoff. These measurements were operated at 3 housing complexes from 2006 to 2009. The rainwater runoff pH was influenced by the quality of the runoff surface material (concrete), the age of the building, waterproofing methods according to each housing site, antecedent rainfall conditions and others. Rain garden, infiltration boxes and trenches decreased the alkalinity of runoff by detention and infiltrating the roof and outdoor parking lot runoff. These results mean that decentralized rainwater management facilities of housing complexes can reduce effect on the outskirt aquatic ecosystem by the accumulation of substances causing pH rising in the infiltration facilities and rain garden.

  • The safety assessment for facility industry is now being periodically performed. For the purpose of scientific safety management, QRA(Quantitative Risk Assessment) is also being performed, and reliability data of the facilities is essential to perform the assessment. Generally, the existing safety assessment is performed by using the values announced in other industry processes, which result in the drop of reliability. In order to solve this problem, there is an urgent need to establish reliability database for the facilities. The most appropriate method is to perform a direct reliability analysis towards the facilities undergoing safety assessment. In this study, in compliance with the assessment method and procedure of OREDA-2002 handbook, the facility reliability data are collected, which include the calendar time and operational time in terms of different facility items, the number of failures in terms of different failure mode, the mean, standard deviation, lower limit and upper limit of failure rate, and the failure rate. And the data process method for this special occasion is also proposed when the number of failure is 0.

Economic analysis of irrigation facilities for securing water for field crops

  • Considering irrigation facilities are currently insufficient and drought vulnerability due to climate change is high, efficient measures are required to secure water supply for field crops. This study, therefore, calculated the water shortage to secure water for representative field crops. An economic analysis was further conducted by comparing the production income to the input cost for each method. Here, five distinct regions were selected to represent each crop-Cheongyang-gun for chili peppers, Yesan-gun for apples, Dangjin-si for cabbages, Seosan-si for garlic, and Goesan for beans. The regions with insufficient water supply were estimated by calculating the water requirements and the supplied water from public groundwater wells for each area. A comprehensive set of four scenarios was presented as a strategy to ensure water security and manage irrigation facilities. These scenarios comprised the maintenance of existing groundwater wells, the construction of new water storage tanks, the installation of additional groundwater wells, and the utilization of surface water. B/C (benefit/cost) analysis was conducted for each scenario. As a result, the construction of water storage tanks was selected as a facility and water management plan in Cheongyang-gun, Dangjin-si, and Seosan-si. The analysis additionally indicated the economic viability of installing surface water utilization facilities in Yesan-gun and developing water storage tanks and groundwater (aquifer) wells in Goesan-gun. The results of this study are considered to serve as foundation data that may be utilized in the selection of water management plans for drought-prone areas in the future.
