  • Purpose: This study was to identify the effect of cervical stabilization exercise with visual feedback on the craniovertebral angle and foot pressure in subjects with forward head posture. Methods: Thirty healthy adults were recruited in the study. Participants were randomly assigned to the stabilization exercise with visual feedback (SE-VF) group (n=15) or stabilization exercise (SE) group (n=15). The SE-VF group performed cervical stabilization exercise while sitting on a chair without a backrest and checking their side profile in real time a monitor 3m away. The SE group performed the same cervical stabilization exercise as the SE-VF group accompanied by without visual feedback. Craniovertebral angle (CVA) was measured to quantify forward head posture, and the foot pressure of the subjects were evaluated. Results: The foot pressure showed statistically significant differences pre and post in both midfoot and left metatarsal only in SE-VF group (p<0.05). Conclusion: These findings of this study showed that the cervical stabilization exercise with visual feedback was effective for the foot pressure of subjects. In addition, based on the results of this study, it is suggested that visual feedback will be effective in cervical stabilization exercise.

  • This paper considers feedback error learning neural networks for robot manipulator control. Feedback error learning proposed by Kawato [2,3,5] is a useful learning control scheme, if nonlinear subsystems (or basis functions) consisting of the robot dynamic equation are known exactly. However, in practice, unmodeled uncertainties and disturbances deteriorate the control performance. Hence, we presents a robust feedback error learning scheme which add robustifying control signal to overcome such effects. After the learning rule is derived, the stability is analyzed using Lyapunov method.

  • This paper presents a design method of a static output feedback controller for continuous T-S fuzzy systems via parallel distributed compensation (PDC). The existence condition of a set of static output feedback gains is represented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The sufficient condition presented here does not need any transformation matrices and equality constraints and is less conservative than the previous results seen in [20].

  • This paper proposes the algorithm of servo- writing based on feedback error learning neural networks. The controller consists of feedback controller using PID and feedforward controller using gaussian radial basis function network. Because the RBFNs are trained by on-line rule, the controller has adaptation capability. The performance of the proposed controller is compared to that of conventional PID controller. Proposed algorithm shows better performance than PID controller.

  • A feedback linearization controller for EMS system is implemented using DSP. In this paper, we show that given EMS system is input-state linearizable and satisfies some robustness condition. Also we derive feedback linearization controller for given system. Finally, some experiments are performed to demonstrate the performance of the proposed controller-especially, comparing this with the classical state feedback controller using linear perturbation.

  • The problem of designing dynamic output feedback sliding mode controllers for uncertain multivariable linear systems is considered. Using linear matrix inequalities(LMIs), a feasibility condition for the design problem is derived. Explicit fomulas of the gain matrices of a full order output feedback sliding mode controller in terms of the solution matrices of the LMI condition is given. A simple LMI-based algorithm for designing output feedback sliding mode controllers is also given. Finally, numerical design examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Model of the novel Surface motor (SFM) is briefly discussed, and two types of control method including two-order feedback circuit control, indirect acceleration feedback control are analyzed to solve unstable characteristic such as low damp and negative stiffness. The simulation results demonstrate that the system has plain amplitude and wide frequency band arranging from 0 to 8kHz with no resonant peak through indirect acceleration feedback control.

  • This paper presents a decentralized input-output feedback linearizing controller for a multi-machine power system. Firstly, the controller is designed using input-output feedback linearization for modified outputs. Then we present a guideline for selecting gains of the controller and parameters in the modified outputs. Simulations illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme and the selection guideline.
