A GENERALIZED CLASS OF HARMONIC UNIVALENT FUNCTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH AL-OBOUDI OPERATOR INVOLVING CONVOLUTION

  • In this paper, we have introduced a generalized class SiH (m, n, 𝛾, 𝜙, 𝜓; 𝛼), i ∈ {0, 1} of harmonic univalent functions in unit disc 𝕌, a sufficient coefficient condition for the normalized harmonic function in this class is obtained. It is also shown that this coefficient condition is necessary for its subclass 𝒯 SiH (m, n, 𝛾, 𝜙, 𝜓; 𝛼). We further obtained extreme points, bounds and a covering result for the class 𝒯 SiH (m, n, 𝛾, 𝜙, 𝜓; 𝛼). Also, show that this class is closed under convolution and convex combination. While proving our results, certain conditions related to the coefficients of 𝜙 and 𝜓 are considered, which lead to various well-known results.

비정상성 확률분포 및 재현기간을 고려한 홍수빈도분석 (Flood Frequency Analysis Considering Probability Distribution and Return Period under Non-stationary Condition)

  • 본 연구에서는 모수(parameter)가 시간에 따라 변화하는 비정상성 확률분포를 훙수빈도분석에 적용하였다. 또한, 비정상성을 가정한 재현기간 및 위험도를 추정하였다. GEV (Generalized Extreme Value) 분포를 사용하여 정상성 및 비정상성 모형 4개를 구축하였으며 비정상성 모형은 위치모수(location parameter)만 선형경향성을 가지는 경우, 규모모수(scale parameter)만 선형경향성을 가지는 경우, 위치 및 규모모수가 모두 선형경향성을 가지는 경우의 3가지로 구분되었다. 구축된 4개의 모형 중 적합모형을 선정하기 위해 상대적 우도비 검정과 Akaike 정보기준을 사용하였으며, 우리나라의 8개 다목적댐(충주댐, 소양강댐, 안동댐, 임하댐, 합천댐, 대청댐, 섬진강댐, 주암댐)으로부터 취득된 과거 관측 댐 유입량을 사용하여 제안된 절차를 적용하고 결과를 비교분석하였다. 적합모형 선정 결과 합천댐과 섬진강댐이 비정상성 GEV 모형에 적합한 것으로 분석되었고, 나머지 6개 지점의 다목적댐들은 정상성 모형에 적합한 것으로 분석되었다. 특히 합천댐과 섬진강댐의 경우 비정상성 가정에서 산정된 재현기간이 정상성 가정에서 산정된 재현기간보다 작게 산정되었음을 알 수 있었다.

압력 방출밸브를 장착한 이동식 부탄연소기용 부탄캔의 분출가스 확산 실험 및 해석 (Experiment and Simulation of Diffusion of Gas Released from the Relief Valve of a Gas Cylinder for a Portable Gas Range)

  • In the last five years, 91 accidents from portable gas ranges and non-refillable metallic gas cartridges have occurred. The gas cylinder installed with a relief valve was developed to prevent an explosive accident from the gas cartridge. In this study it was carried out to evaluate the safety of a gas cylinder mounted with a relief valve which can prevent an explosion. Under the real using condition and the extreme condition the gas cylinder is heated with an electric heater. Simultaneously, the operating pressure is checked and the suitability of releasing flux is evaluated. And the possibility of fire or explosion was tested when the gas was released from the relief valve at the real using condition. Using a numerical simulation method, the diffusion of butane gas released from a relief valve was visualized.

펜톤산화에 따른 복합폐수의 처리효율연구 (Treatment Efficiency of Complex Wastewater by Fenton's Oxidation Condition)

  • In order to treat the wastewater containing organic compound, pre-treatment system connected with MSP(molecular separation process) was investigated. With the aim of selecting an optimum process of Fenton's oxidation, removal efficiency of each process in the optimum reaction condition was recommended. The $Fe/H_{2}O_{2}$(ferric sulfate to hydrogen peroxide)reagent is referred to as the Fenton's regent, which produces hydroxyl radicals by the interaction of Fe with $H_{2}O_{2}$. The powerful oxidizing ability and extreme kinetic reactively of the hydroxyl radical was well established. Increasing dosage of $Fe/H_{2}O_{2}$ increased removal efficiency as molar ratio of $Fe/H_{2}O_{2}$ between 0.2 and 2.5. Optimum dosage of molar ratio was 1. The removal efficiency for reaction condition was increased as pH decreased when the molar ratio of $Fe/H_{2}O_{2}$ was 1.7. Fenton's oxidation was most efficient in the reaction time 35 min for complex wastewater. Also, coagulation aid experiments using kaolin resulted in 3% of kaolin dosage.

홍수 시 콘크리트 중력식댐의 위험도 분석을 위한 파괴확률 산정 (Failure Probability Assessment for Risk Analysis of Concrete Gravity Dam under Flood)

  • This study aims to estimate the failure probability of concrete gravity dams for their risk analysis under flood situation. To the end, failure modes of concrete gravity dams and their limit state functions are proposed based on numerous review of domestic and international literatures on the dam failure cases and design standards. Three failure modes are proposed: overturning, sliding, and overstress. Based on the failure modes the limit state functions, the failure probability is assessed for a weir section and a non-weir section of a dam in Korea. As water level is rising from operational condition to extreme flood condition, the failure probability is found to be raised up to the warning condition, especially for overturning mode at the non-weir section. The result can be used to reduce the risk of the dam by random environmental variables under possible flood situation.

안전밸브가 장착된 휴대용 부탄캔에 대한 안전성 평가 연구 (Safety Evaluation of Non-refillable Butane Can Equipped with Relief Valve for Prevention of Explosion)

  • 본 연구는 이동식 부탄연소기에 사용되는 1회용 부탄캔의 변형 및 폭발을 방지하기 위하여, 캔에 안전밸브를 장착한 폭발방지 부탄캔에 대한 사용 중 안전성을 평가하였다. 실제 사용환경에서 설계압력의 오차 범위 내에서 안전밸브가 작동하는지, 안전밸브의 분출유량은 캔의 변형 및 폭발을 방지하기에 적정하게 설계되었는지, 그리고 안전밸브 작동으로 인하여 가스가 누출되었을 때 주변의 점화원에 의한 화재 및 폭발의 위험성 등을 평가하였다. 본 연구를 통해 개발제품이 외부열원에 의한 부탄캔의 내압상승을 방지하여 캔의 폭발을 방지하는 것으로 평가되었다.

Al-Cu 다결정 리본의 응고거동에 미치는 휠조건의 영향 (Effects of Wheel Condition on Solidification Characteristics of Al-Cu Polycrystalline Ribbon)

  • The effect of wheel surface condition on solidification behavior of Al-Cu ribbon was investigated in order to establish extreme levels of heat extraction. The condition of wheel surface was changed either by heating the wheel surface up to $200^{\circ}C$ or by coating boron nitride(BN) onto the the rim of a wheel. Heating the wheel surface up to $200^{\circ}C$ improved the wetting behavior between the molten metal and the rotating wheel, leading to an increase in the ratio of columnar structure to the entire thickness of Al-4.3wt%Cu and Al-33.2wt%Cu ribbons. For Al-4.3wt%Cu ribbon, assuming one grain as a single heterogeneous nucleation event at the contact point, the nucleation density with the wheel surface heated to $200^{\circ}C$, was $4{\times}10^6/mm^2$, and in the cases of BN coating with thin and thick layers, $10^5/mm^2$ and $5{\times}10^4/mm^2$, respectively. The largest cooling capacity of the wheel corresponded to the heated wheel surface, and as the thickness of BN coating layer increased, the cooling capacity of the wheel gradually decreased.

순간 해석 기법을 이용한 PVT 잔량 측정법의 극저온 균일 온도 조건에서의 실험적 연구 (Experimental research of Pressure-Volume-Temperature mass gauging method using instantaneous analysis under cryogenic homogeneous condition)

  • In the extreme conditions of launch vehicle in a space, such as cryogenic temperature and low-gravity environment, the mass gauging of remaining propellants becomes a difficult problem. Pressure-volume-temperature (PVT) method is one of the attractive mass gauging methods under low-gravity due to its simplicity and reliability. PVT gauging experiment with various mass flow rates of helium injection is carried out with the experimental apparatus creating cryogenic homogeneous condition as the condition of low-gravity. Experimental results are analyzed by a novel PVT gauging analysis method which considers all instantaneous changes of pressure and temperature in the ullage volume with small time intervals. It is observed that the gauging error from the novel PVT gauging analysis is -0.11% with 2 slpm mass flow rate of helium injection.

구조해석을 통한 터널내 줄눈 콘크리트 포장의 거동분석 (Evaluation of Behavior of Jointed Concrete Pavement Considering Temperature Condition in a Tunnel by Finite Element Method)

  • PURPOSES: The behavior of a concrete pavement in a tunnel was investigated, based on temperature data obtained from the field and FEM analysis. METHODS: The concrete pavement in a tunnel was evaluated via two methods. First, temperature data was collected in air and inside the concrete pavement both outside and inside the tunnel. Second, FEM analysis was used to evaluate the stress condition associated with the slab thickness, joint spacing, dowel, and rock foundation, based on temperature data from the field. RESULTS : Temperature monitoring revealed that the temperature change in the tunnel was lower and more stable than that outside the tunnel. Furthermore, the temperature difference between the top and bottom of the slab was lower inside the tunnel than outside. FEM analysis showed that, in many cases, the stress in the concrete pavement in the tunnel was lower than that outside the tunnel. CONCLUSIONS : Temperature monitoring and the behavior of the concrete pavement in the tunnel revealed that, from an environmental point of view, the condition in the tunnel is advantageous to that outside the tunnel. The behavior in the tunnel was significantly less extreme, and therefore the concrete pavement in the tunnel could be designed more economically, than that outside the tunnel.

서해안 굴, Crassostrea gigas의 건강도 평가를 위한 Condition index와 혈구 apoptosis 분석 (Condition index and hemocyte apoptosis as a health indicator for the Pacific oysters, Crassostrea gigas cultured in the western coastal waters of Korea)

  • A significant production decrease has been witnessed for the Pacific oysters, Crassostrea gigas farmed in the western coastal waters of Korea, presumably by the loss of physiological viability. We evaluated the viability in terms of health indicators, the condition indices and hemocyte apoptosis rates of the oysters inhabiting two representative farming sites, Incheon and Taean each with different environmental variables. In our monthly measurements for the whole year 2013, the indicators were location specific. The condition indices of Incheon were highly variable, 1.67-8.58%, while those of Taean were less, 2.28-5.57%. The condition indices decreased during the spawning seasons, July and September in common. The two oysters exhibited also differed in the apoptotic activities of hemocyte, highly active, 4.03-30.15% for Incheon oysters and less active, 2.87-17.48% for Taean oysters. One thing we could identify was the two measurements were adverse during the critical seasons of spawning, reminiscent of being a useful tool for a health indicator for the oysters. Similar trend was also observed in the time when change in temperature was extreme. The findings in this study are highly indicative of health indicators for the oyster aquaculture.
