  • This study was undertaken to explore the determinants affecting behavioral intention to adopt airport self-service. Based on the theoretical model incorporating the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), in this study, a revised and extended model was proposed in order to better explain Airport Self-service adoption. Moreover, the aim was to determine the mediating effect of hedonic motivation on Airport Self-service adoption. The proposed model was empirically tested using survey data provided by 323 respondents and was analyzed using a multiple regression analysis.

  • Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) has been a basis model for testing technology use. Post researches of TAM have been conducted with the updating the TAM by adding new independent variables in order to increase the explanation power of the model. However, one problem is that different independent variables have to be introduced to keep the explanation power whenever applying to particular technology. This reduces the generality of the research model. Thus in order to increase the generality of the model, this study reviewed the previous researches and collected the independent variables used, and regrouped them into three basic independent constructs. New research model was designed with three basic independent constructs with four constructs selected for the mandatory IT environment and voluntary IT environment, and the structured equations analysis(AMOS) was applied to find the significant causal effect relationships between constructs in addition to the explanation power of the model. Finally, this study concluded that new TAM could be used to explain the users' adopting new technology without any adding new particular independent variables.

  • 본 연구는 VR 게임의 지속가능한 발전을 위해 VR 게임의 어떤 요소가 사용자에게 만족감 및 지속적인 사용을 이끌어내는 요인들을 확인하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 구체적으로 VR 게임의 수용 및 지속적 이용의도를 예측하기 위해 지각된 비용, 프레즌스, 만족 변수가 추가된 확장된 기술수용 모델의 제안을 시도하였다. 분석 결과, 세 가지 요인이 추가된 확장된 기술수용모델이 기존 모델보다 대체적으로 VR 게임의 특성 및 이용자들에게 미치는 영향을 설명하는데 유리한 것으로 파악되었다. 본 연구는 VR게임의 핵심적인 특성을 고려한 연구 모형을 제안하였고 어떤 요소가 지속적 이용의도를 이끌어내는가를 살펴봄으로써 이용자 관점 VR게임 연구에 기여하고자 한다.

  • File sharing technology is the most popular methodology through which consumers gain music from online. However, music file sharing and free downloads of music have caused terrible recession of traditional music industry. The purpose of this paper is to develop the underlying theory for understanding the acceptance of music file sharing technology and empirically test our theoretical model. We develop extended TAM model and explore the influencing factors on the user acceptance of music file sharing technology. Our study delivers a better understanding on consumers’ attitudes towards music downloads. By understanding the fundamental characteristics of technology that makes consumers enthusiastic, traditional music industry will gain managerial implications.

Determinants of Live Commerce Acceptance: Focusing on the Extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)

  • Live Commerce is rapidly emerging as a new paradigm for the digital economy and consumption activities in the post-COVID era. Many prior studies have been conducted on Live Commerce, but studies focusing on the characteristics of sources of Live Commerce are insufficient. This study aimed to investigate the human factors of sources that affect consumers' intention to use Live Commerce. For this purpose, based on an expanded TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) through literature research, variables were set, and a survey was conducted targeting Korean consumers who have experienced purchasing products through Live Commerce. Excluding unreliable data, 201 responses were utilized in the analysis of this study. At first, the measurement tools were checked through validity and reliability verification, and correlation analysis was conducted to identify the relationships between variables. Then, the proposed hypotheses were verified through multiple regression analysis. As a result, firstly, the human factors of sources had a positive effect on PU (Perceived Usefulness). Secondly, the PEOU (perceived ease of use) had a positive effect on both PU and CS (Consumer Satisfaction). Thirdly, PU had a positive effect on CS and ITU (Intention to Use). Finally, CS with Live Commerce had a positive effect on the ITU. Through this study, we try to provide an understanding of consumer behavior in the Live Commerce environment and contribute to enhancing the service provider's ability to offer high-quality Live Commerce content.

한국과 중국 SNS 이용자의 지속적 이용의도의 영향요인에 관한 비교 연구: 확장된 기술준비도수용모형을 중심으로 (A Comparative Study on the Influencing Factors of Continuous Use Intention of Korean and Chinese SNS Users: Focused on the Technology Readiness and Acceptance Model)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the extended technology readiness and acceptance model according to the characteristics of technology for the continuous use motive of SNS users. In particular, we conducted a comparative study on the differences in technology readiness and acceptance model between countries through the empirical analysis of the users of SNS in Korea and China with different technological and cultural environments. The results of this study are as follows; First, Positive technology readiness index has a positive effect on performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions, which are variables of UTAUT. Positive technology readiness also has a positive effect on Enjoyment, which is added in this study. Second, negative technology readiness index has negative effect on performance expectancy and social influence, which are variables of UTAUT. In addition, negative technology readiness index has not a significant effect on enjoyment, which was added in this study. Finally, the relationship between technology readiness index, motivation for technology acceptance, and continuously intention to use has a partially different influence on the Korean and Chinese users. Based on the results of this study, this study suggested academic implications and practical implications.

스마트패션제품 수용에 관한 연구 - 확장된 기술수용모형 실증연구 - (A study on acceptance of smart fashion products - An empirical test of an extended technology acceptance model -)

  • Using the extended technology acceptance model (TAM), the study aimed to understand consumers' adoption process for smart fashion products. The research model was designed to examine the impacts of perceived ease of use and usefulness on attitude and behavior intention toward smart fashion products based on the technology innovativeness, enjoyment, and subjective norm variables. An online survey was conducted on consumers by employing a marketing research company. A total of 230 useable responses were obtained. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was performed to test the measurement model. The proposed hypotheses were tested by employing the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results found a positive impact of perceived ease of use on usefulness and a positive influence of usefulness on attitude and behavior intention. Attitude had a positive effect on behavior intention. In addition, technology innovativeness was found to have a positive influence on perceived ease of use and enjoyment had a positive influence on usefulness and attitude. Subjective norm predicted behavior intention. The findings of the study contribute to smart fashion literature and have important implications for smart fashion product developers and marketers, as they offer insights into the important role of technology innovativeness, enjoyment, and subjective norms perceived by consumers in improving attitudes and behavior intentions toward the products. Limitations and future research directions are discussed.

이러닝에서 사회성, 사용용이성, 유용성, 즐거움이 수용의향에 미치는 영향 연구 -확장된 기술수용모델 관점- (Study on the Effect of Sociability, Ease of Use, Usefulness, Enjoyment on Acceptance Intention in e-Learning -A Perspective of the Extended Technology Acceptance Model-)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 기술수용모델, 동기이론, 사회적 반응 이론을 적용한 확장된 기술수용모델 관점에서 이러닝 수용의향에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 지각된 사회성, 지각된 사용용이성, 지각된 유용성, 지각된 즐거움, 그리고 이러닝 수용의향으로 구성된 이론모형을 개발하고 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 요약하면 첫째, 지각된 유용성과 지각된 즐거움은 모두 이러닝 수용의향에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 결정요인으로 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 지각된 사용용이성은 이러닝 수용의향 결정요인인 지각된 유용성과 지각된 즐거움에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 셋째, 지각된 사회성은 이러닝 수용의향에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 지각된 유용성을 매개로한 간접적인 영향도 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

C4I 시스템 사용의 영향 요인에 관한 연구: 구조모형의 매개변수의 관점에서 (A Study of Influencing Factors Upon Using C4I Systems: The Perspective of Mediating Variables in a Structured Model)

  • The general aspects for the future warfare shows that the concept of firepower and maneuver centric warfare has been replacing with that of information and knowledge centric warfare. Thus, some developed countries are now trying to establish the information systems to perform intelligent warfare and innovate defense operations. The C4I(Command, Control, Communication, Computers and Intelligence for the Warrior) systems make it possible to do modern and systematic war operations. The basic idea of this study is to investigate how TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) can explain the acceptance behavior in military organizations. Because TAM is inadequate in explaining the acceptance processes forcomplex technologies and strict organizations, a revised research model based upon TAM was developed in order to assess the usage of the C4I system. The purpose of this study is to investigate factors affecting the usage of C4I in the Korean Army. The research model, based upon TAM, was extended through a belief construct such as self-efficacy as one of mediating variables. The self-efficacy has been used as a mediating variable for technology acceptance, and the variable was included in the research model. The external variables were selected on the basis of previous research. The external variables can be classified into following: 1) technological, 2) organizational, and 3) environmental factors on the basis of TOE(Technology-Organization-Environment) framework. The technological factor includes the information quality and the task-technology fitness. The organizational factor includes the influence of senior colleagues. The environmental factor includes the education/train data. The external variables are considered very important for explaining the behavior patterns of information technology or systems. A structured questionnaire was developed and administrated to those who were using the C4I system. Total 329 data were used for statistical data analyses. A confirmatory factor analysis and structured equation model were used as main statistical methods. Model fitness Indexes for measurement and structured models were verified before all 18 hypotheses were tested. This study shows that the perceived usefulness and the self-efficacy played their roles more than the perceived ease of use did in TAM. In military organizations, the perceived usefulness showed its mediating effects between external variables and dependent variable, but the perceived ease of use did not. These results imply that the perceived usefulness can explain the acceptance processes better than the perceived ease of use in the army. The self-efficacy was also used as one of the three mediating variables, and showed its mediating effects in explaining the acceptance processes. Such results also show that the self-efficacy can be selected as one possible belief construct in TAM. The perceived usefulness was influenced by such factors as senior colleagues, the information quality, and the task-technology fitness. The self-efficacy was affected by education/train and task-technology fitness. The actual usage of C4I was influenced not by the perceived ease of use but by the perceived usefulness and selfefficacy. This study suggests the followings: (1) An extended TAM can be applied to such strict organizations as the army; (2) Three mediation variables are included in the research model and tested at real situations; and (3) Several other implications are discussed.

소비자 특성이 모바일 커머스 수용 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Consumer Characteristics on the Acceptance of Mobile Commerce)

  • 본 연구는 확장된 기술수용모델(Extended TAM)과 새로운 이론을 기반으로 하여 모바일 커머스의 특성과 소비자의 특성이 수용의도에 미치는 영향에 대한 실증연구를 진행하였다. 수도권 스마트폰 이용자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 분석한 결과 지각된 유용성, 용이성, 효익성, 정보의 정확성은 통계적으로 유의한 양의 영향을 미치며, 지각된 위험은 통계적으로 유의한 음의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 조절변수로 이용된 개인의 특성인 성별, 유희성, 혁신성, 친숙도의 정도에 따라 모바일 커머스의 특성이 수용의도 미치는 영향이 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 모바일 커머스 시장에 진출해있거나 진출하고자 하는 기업에게 새로운 어플리케이션 개발과 모바일 마케팅 전략을 수립하는데 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있다. 또한 본 연구의 결과는 모바일 커머스 뿐만 아니라 새롭게 도입되고 있는 기술혁신 제품의 수용 및 사용에 대한 결정요인을 파악하는 데 향후 응용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
