An experimental investigation on the ruined RC bridge with 30 years old has been conducted to estimate the durabilities. The ruined RC bridge estimated in this study was located at Kyung-Bu Express Way. First, concrete strength and durability characteristics such as concrete resistivity, chloride content were estimated. Second, it was to test reinforcing corrosion embedded in slab of bridge. And, third, tensile strength and yield strength of reinforcing bar corroded and not corroded were estimated. This bridge inspection provides the most common cause of defects and deterioration and the results of this inspections give more specific information than those of laboratory inspections do.

One of the main objectives of school mathematics education is to develop a student' intuition and logical thinking [11]. But two -valued logical thinking, in fact, is not sufficient to express the concepts of a student's mind since intuition is fuzzy. Hence fuzzy -valued logical thinking may be a more natural way to develop a student's mathematical thinking.

This study maintains that settlement and dwelling system reflects socio-cultural value of the people to express their image of ideal-life and intrinsic way of life. To demonstrate it, the study is conducted on a cross-cultural perspective. Through the study, it is shown that the character and content of the settlement and dwelling system is largely generated by the result of a choice among possible alternatives, which provides the theoretical base of the settlement and dwelling system.

The purpose of this study is to suggest specific function of each areas and way to express reasonable interior elements within interior design of sports center in Korea. The method of this research is case study of sports center In various fields since 1980. During the study, it Is very clear that the most important points in designing of sports centers interior space to accomodate main body training areas and service area for the users. The other point is to explain within the space plan that there should be a clear understanding of general regulation for the installation element, function and behavioral facts. The social, cultural roles of sports center must have the function as a multi service facility. In summary this research is to present datas and suggestion to various areas in sports center and refine its new meaning of sports center space plan with much better designing.

We propose a simple and efficient driving algorithm to reduce Dynamic False Contour(DFC) in Plasma Display Panels(PDPs) by using both accumulation and combination of light emission periods. Although the accumulative way of light emission in sustain period is regarded as more effective than combinational way to reduce DFC, it takes much addressing time to express high gray-scale. Therefore, we combine accumulative and combinational light emission methods to reduce DFC. In the proposed method, one TV field (16.7ms) is composed of four combinational subfields for expressing small gray scales and fifteen accumulative subfields for large gray scales. In addition, we use some Graphic Signal Processing(GSP) algorithm to get more natural images by reducing DFC.

As we approach the end of the twentieth century, it seems we need a new way to express the thoughts, needs, and values that are undergoing a drastic change and a new strategy to create diverse cultural forms that would reflect and incorporate such changes. In this study, I am introducing the chaos theory as a new way of thinking that would help counterbalancing the deter-ministic world-view and forging a harmonious unity of man and his environment. As a creative principle, the theory seems to offer an unlimited number of structural possibilities for art and design. In fine, this study discuss-es the reductive nature of modernist approach and offer instead the chaos theory that is more probabilistic and capable of greater diversity.

In this study, it can be identified that drawing style of cartoon and fashion illustration are mutually linked and interchanged. The common background of drawing style between cartoon and fashion illustration, is as follows; 1. A means of image communication through mass communication 2. Similarities as visual signs 3. The borderless of painting, illustration and cartoon. 4. Usage of common drawing expressions such as deformation, distortion, exaggeration, metaphor, metonymy. Drawing style interchanging between cartoon and fashion illustration, is as follows; 1. Similar to figure and face are contemporary style, similar figure, Anime style and humourous style. 2. Similar to the way of express is focusing on the line, simplification, mixed computer graphics with hand drawing, artistic expression, the way of multimedia.

의복은 단순한 상징적 체계, 즉 입는다는 기능성에 벗어나 미학의 한 위상으로, 의미를 전달하는 기호코드로 새로운 자리 매김을 하고 있다. 이러한 현상을 파악하고자, 의상에서 인체의 부재를 통해 전달하고자 하는 의미를 강조한 3점의 작품을 분석한 결과, 1) 입음/걸려짐, 긍정적/부정적, 능동적/수동적, 있음/없음을 통해 남성/여성의 의미를 대립시키고, 2)사회적인/사적인, 인체/옷을 통해 남성과 여성을 적절함/부적절함, 주체적인/부수적인 의미로 환원시켰다. 3) 하나의/다수의, 단순함/다양함, 제한적인/자유로운 의미를 통해 옷 입는 방법에 대한 사유를 하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to identify problems in defining the concept of care and redefine it broadly, to examine the possibility of community care as an alternative way to change the negative image of care concept. Method : The literature review method was used for the study. Results : First, care is limitedly conceptualized as a concept of physical care and care for children and the elderly. Second, child care is perceived only as a burden, and it is avoided to express care needs in the youth period, and the care of the elderly is putting off responsibility between the public and the private sector. Third, through community care, we should be able to feel happiness in life itself and care needs to be recognized as a way of being throughout our life.
