초등학교 안전교육 내용분석연구 (A Study on the Contents Analysis of Safety Education in Elementary School : Focusing on Comparison with the Needs of Students)

  • The objective of this study is to give basic materials for selection and improvement of contents of safety education, which is substantially helpful to elementary students, by analysis of contents of safety education in some subjects and assessment of the needs of elementary students for safety education. For this purpose, this study was analyzed the contents of safety education in five subjects for elementary school and conducted the survey of 883 students in some elementary schools in Seoul from April 7 to 22, 2000. The results were as follows; 1. As a result of analysis of the proportion of contents regarding safety-related education in some subjects, Physical Education occupied the highest proportion (14.09%), and that was followed by Practical Subject (9.55%) and Moral Education (9.34%). However, the proportions in Social Study and Natural Science were very low, 1.85% and 1.31% each. In total lines of these five subjects, the numbers of line regarding safety education was contained by 5.78%. 2. Analyzing the proportion of domains of safety education in five textbooks, the Meaning of Safety and Basic Principles occupied the highest portion (29.5%), and that was followed by the Home Safety (24.0%), the Safety in School (17.1%), and the Play and Leisure Safety (14.0%). The Coping with Accidents and First Aid, the Safety from Fire and Explosion, and the Traffic Safety occupied relatively low portion, 6.9%, 5.7%, and 2.8% each. 3. As a result of analysis of the proportion of the safety education domain in each subject, the Meaning of Safety and Basic Principles occupied the highest portion (23.6%) in Moral Education, the Home Safety (12.7%) in Practical Subject, and the Play and Leisure Safety (10.9%) in Physical Education. 4. Most of the participants in this survey experienced the Home Accidents (71.1%). And also, they experienced the Play and Leisure Accidents (57.9%), the Accidents in School (49.7%), the Traffic Accidents (45.3%), and the Fire and Explosion Accidents (24.7%) in order. 5. In the average proportion of the needs of participants for safety education in each domain, the Coping with Accidents and First Aid has the highest point (4.05). And, that was followed by the Home safety (3.79), the Safety from Fire and Explosion (3.73), the Meaning of Safety and Basic Principles (3.65), the Play and Leisure Safety (3.50), the Safety in School (3.37), and the Traffic Safety (3.35). The average proportion of the needs for safety education of total domains was 3.66. 6. In the needs for safety education regarding the feature of participants, it showed higher scores in female students than male ones (p〈0.001), in lower grader than higher grader (p〈0.05), and in the students born to wealth than those born poor (p〈0.05). Also, the children who recognize the necessity of safety education showed higher scores of the needs for safety education (p〈0.001). And it also showed the same results of high score to the children whose parents did the safety education (p〈0.00l) and to the children and their parents who have the higher degree of practicing safety (p〈0.001), and these differences were statistically significant. 7. In the extent of preference for methods of safety education, it showed high score to the Field Learning, followed by the Audio- Visual Education, the Discussion, and the Instruction of teacher. In the extent of preference for subjects regarding the contents of safety education by each domain, it showed high score to the subject of Safety for 4 domains - the Meaning of Safety and Basic Principles, the Traffic Safety, the Safety from Fire and Explosion, and the Coping with Accidents and First Aid. And also, they preferred Moral Education for 2 domains - the Home safety and the Safety in School, and Physical Education for a domain of the Play and Leisure Safety. 8. While 27 of 36 detail items was contained the contents of safety education, the proportion of needs of participants for safety education showed more than average 3.00 score in 34 of 36 detail items. However, none of 9 detail items was included in five textbooks. Also, 2 detail items - the Coping with Disasters and the Safety from Poisoning - were included together 2 parts; One part had the higher ranked 7 items acquired by analysis of the needs, and the other had the higher ranked 7 items acquired by analysis of the contents. But, except those 2 items, none of items were matched with each part.

LNG 생산기지의 사고사례 조사 (The Investigation of Accidental Case for LNG Terminal)

  • LNG 시설은 타 시설에 비해 사용 안전성 측면에서 고려하여야 할 사항이 많다. LNG의 특성상 $-160^{\circ}C$의 초저온 상태에서 생산, 저장되며, 가연성 가스이므로 누설 시에 인근의 점화원에 의해 폭발할 수 있다. 그리고 LNG 생산 및 저장시설은 대량의 연료를 취급하므로 사고의 위험성과 영향력이 크다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 대량의 액화연료를 취급하는 LNG 기지는 엄격한 안전기준과 설계기준을 요구하고 있다. 제정된 기준은 많은 지식과 경험을 근간으로 발전되며, 사고빈도수가 많지 않은 LNG 시설과 관련해서, 건설 또는 운영 시에 발생한 사고사례는 중요한 정보를 제공하고 있다. 많은 인명을 앗아간 사례와 원인에 대한 평가는 소중한 자료임에 분명하다. 이에 본 조사에서는 외국의 LNG 생산기지의 사고사례를 조사하여 경향을 분석해 보았다.

압력 방출밸브를 장착한 이동식 부탄연소기용 부탄캔의 분출가스 확산 실험 및 해석 (Experiment and Simulation of Diffusion of Gas Released from the Relief Valve of a Gas Cylinder for a Portable Gas Range)

  • In the last five years, 91 accidents from portable gas ranges and non-refillable metallic gas cartridges have occurred. The gas cylinder installed with a relief valve was developed to prevent an explosive accident from the gas cartridge. In this study it was carried out to evaluate the safety of a gas cylinder mounted with a relief valve which can prevent an explosion. Under the real using condition and the extreme condition the gas cylinder is heated with an electric heater. Simultaneously, the operating pressure is checked and the suitability of releasing flux is evaluated. And the possibility of fire or explosion was tested when the gas was released from the relief valve at the real using condition. Using a numerical simulation method, the diffusion of butane gas released from a relief valve was visualized.

  • When fire and explosion accidents have occurred due to a leak of the flammable gas involving the LNG & LPG in an industrialized society, it is a very important problem. Accordingly, in this paper, we have compared and analyzed the occurrence transition and the electrostatic energy according to dust supplies and pressure variations for the electric charge due to the gas-solids of pipe flow. As the experimental results, if dust amounts and the initial pressure increased, electric charge in the pipe and the exit increased. The Specific charge of $Fe_2O_3$ increased proportionally if the initial pressure increased but if the quantity of dust increased, the specific charge decreased. Energy increased significantly as the dust amounts and the initial pressure increased. The possibility of fire and explosion exist in the measuring point(M 1) and the Faraday cage if natural gas and LPG were used.

TRIGGERING AND ENERGETICS OF A SINGLE DROP VAPOR EXPLOSION: THE ROLE OF ENTRAPPED NON-CONDENSABLE GASES

  • The present work pertains to a research program to study Molten Fuel-Coolant Interactions (MFCI), which may occur in a nuclear power plant during a hypothetical severe accident. Dynamics of the hot liquid (melt) droplet and the volatile liquid (coolant) were investigated in the MISTEE (Micro-Interactions in Steam Explosion Experiments) facility by performing well-controlled, externally triggered, single-droplet experiments, using a high-speed visualization system with synchronized digital cinematography and continuous X-ray radiography. The current study is concerned with the MISTEE-NCG test campaign, in which a considerable amount of non-condensable gases (NCG) are present in the film that enfolds the molten droplet. The SHARP images for the MISTEE-NCG tests were analyzed and special attention was given to the morphology (aspect ratio) and dynamics of the air/ vapor bubble, as well as the melt drop preconditioning. Energetics of the vapor explosion (conversion ratio) were also evaluated. The MISTEE-NCG tests showed two main aspects when compared to the MISTEE test series (without entrapped air). First, analysis showed that the melt preconditioning still strongly depends on the coolant subcooling. Second, in respect to the energetics, the tests consistently showed a reduced conversion ratio compared to that of the MISTEE test series.

회분식 공정에서 스플래쉬 필링(Splash Filling) 작업으로 인한 화재·폭발 사고 예방대책에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prevention Measures against Fire and Explosion Accidents during Splash Filling in Batch Process)

  • 일반적으로 인화성 액체를 사용하여 제품을 만들어 내는 회분식 반응 공정에서는 작업 후 반응기 세척(Cleaning) 시 제품 생산을 위해 사용되는 원료인 인화성 액체를 일정압력으로 분사하여 반응기 벽면 등을 세척하는 스플래쉬 필링(Splash Filling) 형태의 작업 방법을 적용한다. 이러한 작업과정에서 인화성 액체의 미스트 등이 발생하여 폭발하한계가 낮아지며 유동대전, 충돌대전, 분출대전과 같이 여러 형태의 복합 대전에 따른 방전현상으로 화재·폭발이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 최근의 사고사례를 바탕으로 회분식 공정에서 톨루엔을 통한 스플래쉬 필링(Splash Filling) 형태의 작업 시 위험성을 파악하고 당량법을 이용한 폭발영향분석을 수행하여 사고결과를 분석하여 이러한 사고를 예방하기 위한 상시적 불활성화, 세척 방법 개선, 탄탈럼 사용 등의 예방대책을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 최근, 초고층건축공사 프로젝트가 증가하고 있으며, 안전사고의 발생이 늘어나고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 건설업 안전사고의 발생원리 및 사고발생Tree구조를 체계화함으로써 사고의 예방방안을 고찰하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 1993년부터 2009년 까지 17년간 한국산업안전공단의 연도별 재해사례정보를 토대로 사고의 다양한 특성을 분석하였다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 1)건설업재해중 매몰, 화사, 폭렬, 화상의 위험요인들을 파악하였고, 2)사고원인의 분류관점을 체계화하였으며, 3)작업유형과 사고의 주된 원인을 분석하여 안전관리의 합리화 방법론을 고찰하였다. 이러한 연구방법에 의해 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같이 3가지로 요약하여 나타낼 수 있다. 1) 1993년부터 2009년까지 4타입의 건설업재해를 분석한 결과, 사고에 관련된 시설물은 43타입으로 파악되었다. 2) 매몰, 화사, 폭렬, 화상사고를 초래한 사고원인은 63타입으로 분석되었다. 3)사고가 발생한 작업유형은 29타입으로 나타났다.

SEMI S6를 적용한 CVD 설비의 폭발분위기 조성 가능성 분석 (Explosion Likelihood Investigation of Facility Using CVD Equipment Using SEMI S6)

  • 반도체, 디스플레이 등 IT(Information Technology) 제품 수요 증가로 관련 산업이 확대되고 있다. 이는 생산설비 증설과 화학물질 사용 증가로 이어지며 화재·폭발의 위험성에도 영향을 미치고 있다. 이러한 위험요인에 대해 정부는 오래전부터 인화성 물질을 제조·사용·취급하는 장소의 사고 예방을 위하여 산업안전보건법 및 KS 기준에 따라 폭발위험 장소로 설정하여 관리토록 하고 있다. 그러나, 폭발위험장소를 설정할 때, 중요한 요소인 환기량을 고려하지 않아 실질적인 폭발분위기 조성 가능성을 예측하기는 쉽지 않다. 이 연구에서는 디스플레이 산업에서 주요 공정인 CVD(Chemical Vapor Deposition) 설비에 SEMI S6 Exhaust Ventilation Test 방법을 적용하여 위험한 설비의 환기 성능을 평가하고, 폭발분위기 조성 가능성을 확인하였다. 그 결과, 가상의 시나리오 내에서 환기 성능이 SEMI S6에서 규정한 기준에 적합하였고, 폭발분위기가 조성될 가능성이 낮음을 확인하였다. 따라서, KS 규격뿐만 아니라 공학적 기법으로 폭발분위기의 형성 여부를 예측한 연구 결과를 통해 합리적이고 경제적인 사고 예방에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
