  • To provide an appropriate knowledge representation technique dependent on a particular domain, we consider the combine analytic hierachy process(CAHP). This is an extended method of the conventional AHP which is useful when two different expert groups are involved. Our problem domain is confined to human resource management including such major activities as planning, selection, placement, compensations, performance evaluation, training, and labor-management relations. We prioritize rules, frames, semantic nets, and predicate logic representation techniques best suited to each and all domains through an exploratory study.

  • This paper represents an exploratory effort to test empirically the contingent relationships between the contextual variables, such as user task characteristics and personality, and the information characteristics of Accounting Information Systems (AIS), and to prove the effects of influence factors on the increase of personal office productivity. In this study, it was suggested that personal office productivity is influenced by the fit between the contextual variables and the information dimensions of ALS. It was also proved that influence factors have a positive effect on the increase of personal office productivity.

  • This study empirically examined the effects of data warehousing methodology on the success of data warehousing. Research model and two hypotheses were set up to identify the relationships among two types of data warehousing methodology(top-down/bottom-up, dw configuration) and success based on the investigations of such theories as data warehousing, data warehousing methodology, IS success and so forth. And the survey instrument(questionnaire) was developed to collect data. Ultimately 183 questionnaires from 61 korean firms were collected. Findings showed that two types of data warehousing methodology affect significant effect on the success of data warehousing.

  • The present study introduces and describes the characteristics of the spiral guide and groove body cyclones for the first time. The spiral guide was set inside the cyclone body or the inside of the cyclone body was grooved circumferentially or vertically. Except for the cyclone body, all configurations were the same. The particle collection efficiency for a conventional cyclone (Figure 1) was measured under a series of flow rates ranging from 15 L/min up to 80 L/min, and was compared with that yielded using existing theories. • Although student-centered teaching practices have been advocated in mathematics education reform, implementing them at the classroom level remains challenging. This exploratory case study examined two unevenly successful student-centered approaches to see how teachers understand and characterize reform, and to articulate issues in implementing reform ideas. The comparison and contrast between the classrooms showed similar classroom social norms but dramatically different mathematical practices. This affords the possibility of exploring the challenges of reform for teachers and other personnel who are attempting to move teaching practices towards the student-centered ideals.

  • This study is to investigate the error of prediction value with related variables from the recommended system and to examine the error of prediction value with related variables. To decrease the error on the collaborative recommended system on user based, this research explored the effects on the prediction related response pair between raters' demographic variables and Pearson's coefficient and sparsity. The result shows comparative analysis between existing error of prediction value and conditioned one.

  • The purpose of this study was to explorei the nature of the relationship between several factors representing shipping service quality enumerated in the service marketing literature and the adaptability to the marketing strategy of container shipping firm. An empirical study was carried out to examine not only the determinants of shipping service quality but also ists implications to the service marketing strategy. The data investigating the deteminants of shipping service quality were collected from Korean Multimodal Company , Shipping Freight Forwarders. Exploratory Factor analysis was carried out to analyze the data.

  • Recently, research outcome is frequently leaked in the process of progressing domestic R&D. Security system such as research security law and manual is implemented to prepare these leakage. However piecemeal solutions, simply technological measures, have a limit. Consequently, this study organizes a integrated research security framework by designing multidimensional security measures based on the R&D life cycle perspective. Concretely, this study constructs various control items predicated on law, moreover reviews the applicability of research security assessment items.

  • This research investigates the rising new role of mileage system as private e-money in a exploratory study. The key research questions are "How does mileage system evolve with expansion of e-business and what are the cases for real experiences in 'money-like' mileage and their implications?" This research focuses on the proposition that mileage points created in commercial transactions as a royalty program are observed to serve a new role as payment tool. In an attempt to identify factors that determine mileage system as private money, we employ three factors: confidence, transaction cost, and monetary freedom. Also, this research proposes a direction for further research and follow-up studies to establish legal and institutional issues and the relevant architecture, all of which are essential elements to make the mileage points global money with a certain trade ratio in the near future.

  • This study explores a model of partnership to the success of outsourcing CTI(computer telephony integration) based customer service centers of a telecommunication service company. The motivation of the study is to extend the research on IT outsourcing to IT-enabled BPO of customer service centers as a specific IT outsourcing practice. Previous research on IT outsourcing partnership and success is reviewed for developing an a research model of IT-enabled BPO. This model is proposed based on the previous partnership success models in information systems research. The results of the study confirm major factors related to successful IT-enabled BPO in previous research. Especially, the specificity of a contract and strategic collaboration in partnership are found to be influential on the success of IT-enabled BPO.
