  • LID(Low-Impact Development) has received a great deal of attention in the field of urban water management. The spread of LID technologies as a natural drainage system has led to a rise in consideration of the applicability of policy in Korea. In this respect, the purpose of this study is to analyze experts' perception about utilization, applicability of policy, and improvements of LID by using Q-methodology. The sample included 31 experts who were government employees, landscape architects, researchers, and professors related to LID. All participants completed a 28-statement Q-sort task. Data was analyzed by using QUANL computer software. As a result of this study, four distinct experts' perceptions about LID are identified: Policy Enforcement Oriented Type, Expert Understanding Oriented Type, Manual Oriented Type, and Effectiveness Oriented Type. This study suggested appropriate directions related to LID technologies, and it is helpful to apply the domestic type's LID and increase the efficiency of LID in Korea. However, this study has a limit in which the viewpoint of the researcher intervenes: a complementary searcher is needed to verify the validity by type in policy decision-making.

  • This study investigated science education experts' perception of remote laboratory sessions (RLS) provoked by the COVID-19 pandemic. We conducted a total of 10 semi-structured interviews with experts in physics, chemistry, biology, and earth science education. As a result, science education experts primarily understood the RLS concerning pre-service teacher education and reconsidered the aim and goal of conventional laboratory education. On practices of RLS provoked by the COVID-19, they pointed out the learning loss due to deficiency of hands-on experience, decreased interactions between instructor and students, and instructors' increased burden. Meanwhile, they contemplated upon their adaptive implementation of RLS to suggest ways to improve RLS instruction and directions of post-COVID-19 science education. We recommend that RLS should be understood as a complemented version of minds-on teaching rather than a degraded version of hands-on teaching to elicit its full potentials. This study has its own significance providing an in-depth science educational perspective interpreting the RLS phenomena.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide reference points for the improvement work of churches' convenience facilities for the elderly. To do this, the study generates survey results, showing that the perception to significance of churches' convenience facilities is different among survey constituents. Method: The survey method was utilized. The study population for survey includes the aged believer over 65 years old, pastors, and architecture and/or interior design experts. The questionnaire was devised while consulting existing regulations regarding convenience facilities in general. Results: It is found that the perception to significance of installation standards for convenience facilities is different among survey constituents. Specifically, while the older believer group is perceived that installation standards for the small group meeting room of 'other facility' is comparatively more important, the pastor group and the expert group perceive that the 'intermediate facility' and 'inner facility' are more important. Implications: Participants involved in an improvement project of churches' convenience facilities may have a different perception about their importance due mainly to the degree of usage and the difference of perspectives. This study, therefore, can be used as a reference point for prioritizing improvement works of churches' convenience facilities for the elderly.

  • Purpose. The purpose of the study was to assess the level of nurses' genetic knowledge and the perception of nurses' role in genetics. The ultimate goal of this paper is to educate practicing nurses so that they can counsel individuals and families with genetic problems, on the basis of better understanding of genetic diseases. Methods. A total of 969 clinical nurses in 11 general hospitals completed a self-administered questionnaire including basic genetic knowledge and perception of their role. The instruments were made by the author with the help of some experts on genetics. T-test, ANOVA, and Pearson Correlation were used to analyze the data. Results. The results of this study indicated that nurses revealed a vast knowledge deficit in genetics and the need for genetic content in nursing curriculum. The results also showed that nurses' sources of information about genetics largely came from the mass media. The nurses also expressed great interest in educating and counseling patients. Overall, the survey found a positive correlation between the nurses' level of knowledge and their degree of interest in genetics. Conclusion. In conclusion, education and training of clinical nurses in genetics is critical in integrating genetics with nursing science. Therefore, the development of educational programs for nursing knowledge and counseling as well as basic curriculums in genetic nursing at universities are essential in the near future.

  • Recently, the rapidly growing new generation of renewable energy projects has emerged as an artificial building that creates a mix of natural environments and disruption to the environment. It serves as a quality inhibitor for rural landscapes and implies the absence of favorable rural landscape. Therefore, the study looked at the color scheme of residents, visitors, and experts in the village, which changed the color of the landscape, and analyzed the color scheme of residents, visitors, and experts. In order to do so, the village was divided into three types and conducted a survey by the general public and experts. In the case of the survey, residents of the three districts (Yeoju, Dam yang, Jeju) were surveyed for 210 residents, and the survey conducted a survey and analysis of 30 people in the area. As a result, both the general public and experts recognized the color change in the energy business, which resulted in the identification of associations and colors of the village. In addition, the recognition and satisfaction of the current situation showed that the education programs for the public were more important than the professionals, as the public show ed low levels of public awareness. Based on this research, we expect to be able to utilize the plan as a guideline for the project of installing solar panels, which is expected to be implemented in the beginning of the project, and can be used as a guideline for the establishment of the solar panels.

Through this, we will identify prerequisites and strategies for Korean marine sports to become a global powerhouse, including revitalizing the Korean Wave for Chinese consumers. It also revitalizes global competitiveness and draws policy implications. Research design and methodology - Through interviews with experts and literature data, elements of important opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses of marine sports are summarized. Based on this SWOT, the AHP technique is applied to determine which is first and what is important between the factors that save opportunities and increase strengths, and measures to cope with threats and factors that complement weaknesses. Through this, the priority factor of experts suggests a plan for activating strategic marine sports. Results - First, the current status of marine sports in Korea and the perception of consumers are grasped through current data and literature research. Sub-elements are derived based on the theoretical literature on SWOT elements and opinions of experts. Prioritization is identified based on the AHP questionnaire of Korean experts. Conclusions - The strategy was derived through SWOT/AHP analysis, and the following implications were obtained. Regionally, Busan is psychologically and geographically adjacent to China and Japan. It is also an area where human exchanges are actively taking place along with the volume of imports and exports. Due to the increase in China's marine sports industry and population, it is necessary to expand the scope of Korea to marine sports beyond cosmetics, dramas, movies, and Korean waves (Hallyu) stars.

  • The current study aims to analyze the process of fabric production planning in Dongdaemun Market, which is a successful model case industrial integration in South Korea. We followed the changes in perception among fabric experts, regarding their recognition of fashion trends, and the following planning and process of fabric production. We used the purpose sampling method to select participants for interview in the Dongdaemun Market, then we carried out one-to-one interviews. Our analysis reveals 4 points of importance. First, the fabric planning stage either employed the trend book swatch, or simply reused the model fabrics already available. Even though the experts felt the need to accept the latest fashion trends, very few considered the trends as positive influences in fabric planning. Whereas trend was a key element in identifying the flow of the fashion industry, there were obstacles in carrying out the study. Second, experts frequently participated in domestic fabric seminars, but not in textile exhibitions. Third, domestic and overseas market research has been performed typically at department stores, and typically at Japan. Fourth, the influx of Chinese fabrics has both positive and negative influences, such as low price, and low reliability. In conclusion, experts were less amenable to accepting the latest fashion trends. pre-requisites in real life to meet the use of the current trend of each company. More studies on the Dongdaemun Market from perspectives of practitioners are warranted.
