Acceptance and Use of Mobile Banking in Central Asia: Evidence from Modified UTAUT Model

  • The main purpose of this study is to analyze the adoption and use of mobile banking by university students and its potential determining factors. This study comprises 259 completed questionnaires answered through an online survey method. The respondents are Mongolian university students who have experience in using mobile banking applications. Young adults rely heavily on technology and are more likely to adopt mobile banking applications; however, there is limited research on the acceptance and use of mobile banking applications among this cohort, particularly from the perspective of Central Asian developing economies. Through using the SmartPLS 3.3 software, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to evaluate the construct and structural equation modeling. The main results indicate that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions are the main constructs related to mobile banking technology acceptance; perceived security positively impacts perceived trust. Moreover, perceived trust is the construct of the use of mobile banking technology by the university students who responded to the questionnaire. However, the relationship between perceived risk and use behavior was not accepted.

Education based on the health belief model to improve the level of physical activity

  • [Purpose] This study aimed to investigate the effect of education based on the health belief model on the physical activity of the staff of the University of Medical Sciences. [Methods] This semi-experimental study was conducted on 130 university staff aged 25-50 years from the Hamadan University of Medical Sciences. Inclusion criteria were having at least 1 year of work experience, lack of acute and chronic physical and mental illnesses, and not using drugs that affect physical activity. The samples were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group received three training sessions based on the health belief model. Before and 2 months after training, the control and experimental groups were evaluated via the following questionnaires: (1) demographic information questionnaire, (2) Health Belief Model Questionnaire, and (3) International Physical Activity Questionnaire. Finally, data were analyzed statistically. [Results] The training process resulted in a significant increase in the mean scores of the health belief model constructs in the experimental group, but changes in the control group were not significant. Self-efficacy was the strongest predictor of physical activity. [Conclusion] The health belief model is a useful model for improving individuals' understanding of the benefits of physical activity.

The Relationship between Shopping Value and Shopping Orientation on Purchase Intention at International Shopping Spot

  • Purpose - This study examines the relationship between the global consumer's shopping value and the intent to purchase in many of today's emerging international malls. furthermore, the orientation of shopping will be examined to see if there is a significant mediating effect between the value of shopping and willingness to purchase in international shopping malls. Design/methodology - This study conducted a survey of Chinese travelers who had experience in visiting a shopping mall during their visit to Korea through an online panel research agency and received a total of 230 responses. To confirm the relationship with constructs, the structural equation model (SEM) was used to test hypothesis in this research. Findings - The study was to examine the relationship of the international consumers' shopping value to the purchase intention in shopping mall when they visit to other countries, and to find if there was any effect on the relationship between the shopping value of the shopping orientation and the willingness of the international shopping mall. Originality/value - By confirming the relationship between international consumers' shopping value and shopping orientation, this study proposed the theoretical implications for global consumers' shopping behavior. In addition, this result can affect the development of service programs for foreign consumers.

Just One More Episode: Exploring Consumer Motivations for Adoption of Streaming Services

  • This study examines the adoption of subscription-based video on demand (SVOD) streaming services among consumers. Primarily, we explore the moderating effect of the two models of streaming services, standalone streaming services and bundled streaming services, on the users' adoption. We employ the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) model in this study. We utilize the data collected from 337 Indian respondents and find that all constructs of the UTAUT2 model act as motivators of adoption. Gender, age, and experience of the respondent also play a moderating role in the adoption of streaming services. We also find that providing bundled streaming service positively moderates price-value and hedonic motivation of adoption. The study is perhaps the first of its kind that aims to understand the motivations for adoption of SVOD services, particularly in the Indian context, which has the fastest-growing base of internet users in the world.

An Integrated Framework for Modeling the Influential Factors Affecting the Use of Voice-Enabled IoT Devices: A Case Study of Amazon Echo

  • Purpose: The application of IoT is finding continuous acceptance in our daily lives, particularly, smart speakers are making life easier and convenient for consumers. This research aims to develop and test an integrated model of factors influencing consumer's adoption of voice-enabled IoT devices. Design/methodology/approach: Based on the VAM, an integrated voice-enabled IoT device adoption model is proposed. Gender differences on five constructs relating with perceived value (perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment, perceived security risk, perceived technicality and perceived cost) was also examined through PLS-MGA technique. The usage experience of consumers was also controlled in the integrated VAM. Findings: Result shows that Perceived-Usefulness, Perceived-Enjoyment and Perceived-Cost have a strong effect on Perceived-Value. However, Perceived-Technicality and Perceived-Security-Risk are non-influential and have no significant effect on PV. Additionally, Perceived-Value and Social-Influence plays a significant role in predicting adoption intention. Gender differences also exist in consumers perception of usefulness, enjoyment and cost. In comparison to the basic value-based adoption model, the integrated model provides more insight on consumers adoption of voice-enabled IoT devices. Originality/value: Using an integrated model, this study is one of the first scholarly attempt at modelling the influential factors for adopting smart speakers i.e., voice-enabled IoT devices, with implications for improved adoption.

모험 스포츠의 경험 장벽이 모험스포츠 몰입경험에 미치는 영향 - 감각추구성향과 반항성향의 조절효과를 중심으로 - (The Effects of Experiential Barriers on Absorbing Experience in Adventure Sports - Focusing on the Moderating Effects of Arousal Seeking and Reactance Tendency -)

  • 모험스포츠 산업은 점점 더 성장하고 있으며 이론적 관심도 꾸준히 성장하고 있다(김영재 2001; 한상덕 2004; Clifford and Clifford 1967; Rohnke 1989). 모험스포츠는 극복스포츠라고도 불릴만큼(McIntosh 1963), 장벽과 밀접하게 관련되지만, 기존 연구는 주로 모험스포츠 참여자의 성향(김영재 2001; 박동규 2008)이나 몰입에 영향을 주는 요인(김건철 1999; 문태영, 박승환 2003; 이상덕, 전민주 2004)에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 기존연구의 결핍을 보완하고자 모험스포츠의 장벽-장비상의 장벽, 시간상의 장벽, 장소상의 장벽, 지식 기술상의 장벽-이 몰입경험에 주는 영향과 감각추구성향과 반항성향의 조절영향을 가정하였다. 이러한 가정들을 검증하기 위해 모험스포츠 참여자들을 대상으로 171부의 데이터를 수집하였고, 조절회귀분석을 이용하여 검증하였다. 연구결과, 장비상의 장벽을 제외한 시간상의 장벽, 장소상의 장벽, 지식 기술상의 장벽이 몰입경험에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 감각추구성향은 시간상의 장벽과 장소상의 장벽의 영향을 조절하며, 반항성향은 지식 기술상의 장벽이 몰입경험에 주는 영향을 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 모험스포츠에 있어 장벽의 중요한 역할과 성향에 따른 차이를 보여줌으로써 기존 연구의 결핍을 보완하고, 장벽에 관한 연구를 확장하고 있다.

新时代大学生奋斗精神培育研究 : 以创新创业教育和思政教育融合研究为视角 (Research on the Cultivation of the Spirit of Struggle of College Students in the New Era : from the Perspective of the Integration of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education and Ideological and Political Education)

  • Struggle refers to the process of overcoming various difficulties for a goal. The spirit of struggle is a positive attitude and reaction reflected in the process of struggle. Cultivating the spirit of struggle of college students is the call of the new era. In essence, the cultivation of the spirit of struggle is a process of learning, which is in line with Bandura's Observation Learning Theory(Bandura, 1977):Attention, Maintenance, Reproduction and Motivation. The cultivation of College Students' spirit of struggle in the new era is also a learning process of enriched experience. It is necessary to cultivate the spirit of struggle into the soul of college students and make it become a habit of students. Moreover, it is crucial to carry out adaptive transformation of Bandura's observation learning theory. By studying the mechanism of the spirit of struggle of college students, taking innovation and entrepreneurship education as a means, and aiming at cultivating the connotation of President Xi's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, this paper constructs the AIST model for cultivating the spirit of struggle of college students in the new era. This model includes online learning acceptance platform(Acceptance), classroom experience stimulation platform(Inspiration), iterative training solidified platform (Solidification), and competition practice transfer platform(Transfer). The purpose of this model is to provide a practical way for universities to fulfill the fundamental task of moral education and cultivate qualified socialist builders and successors. The number of students using the online learning acceptance platform ranked the first among that of the similar courses in China; The classroom experience stimulation platform and the iterative training solidified platform support each other, with an effective rate of 97%; The competition practice transfer platform has realized the continuous growth of the number of awards won in competitions for three years. The direction of future efforts is to establish the external mechanism of the spirit of struggle, to ensure the effectiveness of classroom experience and iterative training, to cultivate teachers with coaching skills, and to accurately measure the transformation point of external and endogenous motivation.

고급레스토랑의 서비스경험이 행동충성도에 미치는 영향 : 인지만족과 정서애착의 인과적 역할 (The Effect of Service Experience on Behavioral Loyalty in Luxury Restaurant Service Setting : The Causal Role of Cognitive Satisfaction and Emotional Attachment)

  • 코로나19의 확산으로 인한 장기간의 사회적 거리두기로 대면접촉 레스토랑업체의 외식지형도는 포장, 정기구독 등으로 변화된 환경에 맞추어 생존전략을 실행하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 환경에도 고급레스토랑은 최상의 시설을 갖추고 고급서비스를 제공함으로써 기존 레스토랑과 차별화를 시도하여 높은 수익을 창출하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고객의 고급레스토랑 서비스경험이 어떠한 경로를 경유하여 행동충성도를 영향을 주는가를 설명하고자 한다. 즉, 본 연구의 목적은 서비스경험이 인지만족과 정서애착에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 또한 이들 구성개념과 관계몰입 및 행동충성도 간 관계를 확인하여 인지만족 및 정서애착의 인과적 역할을 설명하는데 있다. 이를 검증하기 위해 최근 고급레스토랑 이용경험이 있는 소비자 300명을 대상으로 대면인터뷰를 실시하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료 중 부정확하거나 오류가 있는 응답지 25부를 제외하고 275부(91.6%)를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 본 연구에선 SPSS 21.0 및 AMOS 20통계패키지를 사용하여 자료의 타당도와 신뢰도를 확인하고 연구가설을 검정하였다. 빈도분석으로 응답자의 인구통계특성을 확인 하였다. 구조방정식모형분석(SEM)으로 연구모형의 적합도를 확인하고 연구가설을 검정하였다. 연구가설 분석결과, 서비스경험은 인지만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치었고, 인지만족은 정서애착과 관계몰입 및 행동충성도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치었다. 또한 정서애착은 관계몰입과 행동충성도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치었고, 관계몰입은 행동충성도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치었다. 그러나 서비스경험은 정서애착에는 영향을 미치지 않았다. 본 연구를 통해 호텔레스토랑과 같은 고급레스토랑에선 자사의 표적고객을 정확하게 선정하여 이들의 서비스욕구를 확인한 후 이에 적합한 서비스를 제시할 필요가 있다. 또한, 고객에게 우수한 서비스를 제공하여 인지적으로 만족을 유도할 뿐만 아니라 서비스에서 결정적인 진실의 순간(moments of true)을 확인하고 영향력(impact)을 파악하여 이에 적합한 대응방안을 제시함으로써 서비스에 만족한 고객이 정서적으로 애착심을 강화할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다. 그리고 서비스경험으로 만족하여 정서적으로 애착심이 높은 고객에게 자사와 관계를 강화하고 지속적으로 유지하도록 해당 고객과 우호적인 관계를 형성하여 이들이 자사에 강한 소속감과 애착심을 갖도록 함으로써 표적고객의 관계몰입을 유도해야 할 것이다.

전통 패션상품의 시장기회분석을 통한 브랜드 마케팅 전략 제안 (Suggestions for Brand Marketing Strategies through Market Opportunity Analysis of Traditional Fashion Products)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore global consumer behavior with fashion products, Korean fashion products, and Korean traditional fashion products (i.e., Han-Bok). Clothing selection criteria for fashion products and Korean fashion products were included as major constructs far the comparison among global consumers based on their nationality. Other consumer behavior variables were shopping place, buying frequency, purchase experience/plan, preferred brand, purchase items, information source, purchasing usage, and the product evaluation of Hanbok. A convenience sample of 236 global consumers was selected for this study. A questionnaire was pilot tested, and the revised questionnaire was used for the interview survey. Descriptive statistics and ANOVA were used for data analysis. Various nationality were existed such as Europe, North America, Japan, China, South East Asia. The results indicated that the most important criteria for fashion buying were design, fit, and size in order. Fit, size, and color item from buying criteria were significantly different among global consumers by nationality. Country of origin was found as less important factor among global consumers. Department store was most favorable shopping place, and once a month is the most mentioned category in buying frequency. Preferred brands were Levi's, Polo, Gucci, and Prada, etc. Secondly, regarding the evaluation of Korean fashion products, textile quality was highly evaluated. Significant difference except design/style category were existed among global consumers by nationality. Thirdly, regarding the evaluation of Hanbok, the product evaluation of Hanbok highly represented as special event clothing, unique image, beautiful details and oriental beauty in order. Significant difference in good quality of textiles, oriental beauty, coordination with good colors and fabrics, beautiful details and unique style and design were existed among global consumers by nationality. Managerial implications were discussed.

소셜 네트워크 서비스 사용자의 디지털 아이템 구매와 실제 사용에 관한 연구: 종단적 관점에서 (Exploring Purchase Behavior of Digital Items and Actual Usage in a Social Network Site: A Longitudinal Perspective)

  • Given the rapid growth of social network services (SNS) such as Facebook and Cyworld, it is important to understand SNS users' decision-making processes such as purchasing and continuance intention. Especially, as a number of SNS providers such as Cyworld and Habbo Hotel recognize the sales of digital items as the main source of their profits, it is critical to in-depth understand SNS users' purchasing behaviors. In this regard, this study explores continued usage behaviors and purchase behaviors of digital items in an SNS environment using a longitudinal research method. This paper develops a theoretical model to deeply understand the key drivers of purchase behavior of digital items through constructs prescribed by two established research streams on information systems, namely continuance usage and habitual usage. Moreover, this study examines the effects of actual and ideal self-image congruity on SNS continuance intention and habit. The research model was tested by using survey data collected from 307 users who have experience with Cyworld. The analysis results show that SNS actual usage directly influence purchase behavior of digital items. SNS users' continuance intention and habit are key drivers to enhance the level of actual usage of the SNS. Both actual and ideal self-image congruity play a key role in enhancing continuance usage and habitual usage. The implication of research and discussions provides reference for SNS providers in marketing and IT strategy.
