The main objective of the present paper is to investigate, by means of a boundary value problem permitting a semi-analytic solution, qualitative behaviour of solutions for two pressure-dependent yield criteria used for plastically incompressible polymers. The study mainly focuses on the regime of friction (sticking and sliding). It is shown that the existence of the solution satisfying the regime of sticking depends on other boundary conditions. In particular, there is such a class of boundary conditions depending on the yield criterion adopted that the regime of sliding is required for the existence of the solution independently of the friction law.

A special class of exponential dispersion models is the class of Tweedie distributions. This class is very significant in statistical modeling as it includes a number of familiar distributions such as Gaussian, Gamma and compound Poisson. A Tweedie distribution has a power parameter p, a mean m and a dispersion parameter 𝜙. The value of the power parameter lies in identifying the corresponding distribution of the Tweedie family. The basic objective of this research work resides in investigating the existence of the implicit estimator of the power parameter of the Tweedie distribution. A necessary and sufficient condition on the mean parameter m, suggesting that the implicit estimator of the power parameter p exists, was established and we provided some asymptotic properties of this estimator.

In this paper, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of solution for a class of initial boundary value problems with Dirichlet condition in regard to a category of fractional-order partial differential equations. The results are established by a method based on the theorem of Lax Milligram.

In this article, we state and prove several new retarded nonlinear integral and integro-differential inequalities of Gronwall-Bellman-Pachpatte type. These inequalities generalize some former famous inequalities and can be used in examining the existence, uniqueness, boundedness, stability, asymptotic behaviour, quantitative and qualitative properties of solutions of nonlinear differential and integral equations. Applications are provided to demonstrate the strength of our inequalities in estimating the boundedness and global existence of the solution to initial value problem for nonlinear integro-differential equation and Volterra type retarded nonlinear equation. This research work will ensure to open the new opportunities for studying of nonlinear dynamic inequalities on time scale structure of varying nature.

In this paper we prove the existence of nontrivial weak solutions to the boundary value problem -G₁u = u³ + f(x, y, u) in Ω, u ≥ 0 in Ω, u = 0 on ∂Ω, where Ω is a bounded domain with smooth boundary in ℝ³, G₁ is a Grushin type operator, and f(x, y, u) is a lower order perturbation of u³ with f(x, y, 0) = 0. The nonlinearity involved is of critical exponent, which differs from the existing results in [11, 12].

In this paper, we study the following nonlinear problem: $$\{-\Delta_{p}^{3}(x)u\;=\;{\lambda}V_{1}(x){\mid}u{\mid}^{q(x)-2}u\;in\;{\Omega},\\u\;=\;{\Delta}u\;{\Delta}^{2}u\;=\;0\;on\;{\partial}\Omega, $$ under adequate conditions on the exponent functions p, q and the weight function V₁. We prove the existence and nonexistence of eigenvalues for p(x)-triharmonic problem with Navier boundary value conditions on a bounded domain in ℝ^N. Our technique is based on variational approaches and the theory of variable exponent Lebesgue spaces.

In this paper, we investigate the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a new class of integro-differential equation boundary value problems (BVPs) with ㄒ-Hilfer operator. Our problem is converted into an equivalent fixed-point problem by introducing an operator whose fixed points coincide with the solutions to the given problem. Using Banach's and Schauder's fixed point techniques, the uniqueness and existence result for the given problem are demonstrated. The stability results for solutions of the given problem are also discussed. In the end. One example is provided to demonstrate the obtained results

Prior literature expects a lower marginal cash value for weaker governance firms. We test this empirical hypothesis by using the sample of publicly traded Korean firms from 2005 to 2013. To measure the quality of governance structures, we employ the corporate governance scores provided by Korean Corporate Governance Services. The empirical model of Faulkender and Wang (2006) is adopted to estimate the marginal value of cash. Our empirical analysis shows a higher marginal value of cash for the good governance firms in the examination of the total governance score. This finding is consistent to the agency view of cash policy predicting a larger marginal value of cash for the firms with higher governance scores. However, this positive relationship is not robust for a subset of detailed governance scores; a lower marginal cash value is observed for the firms with better qualities of board structure, auditing, dividend policies. Moreover, our empirical analysis verifies a quite low level of marginal cash value for Korean firms, which supports the existence of severe agency conflicts in Korean corporations. Our results verify the significant role of agency conflicts between a manager and shareholders in the determination of marginal cash values in the Korean firms.

The purpose of this paper is to estimate economic value of multi-functionality roles including landscape and so on, which grassland in Jeju possesses, using Dichotomous Choice Contingent Valuation Method (DC-CVM). Grassland is life cultural heritance of regional residents in Jeju. It has functions like development of favorable landscapes, maintenance of cultural heritage, and recreation/relaxation. Expectation from regional visitors shows that the existence and inheritance value of grassland is higher than we expected. According to the research that we had done from the people that had agreed to contribute grassland. moreover the public commercial value of grassland was not only $397{\sim}419$ billion won but also it will increase an economic gain in every year in Jeju. Therefore, preserving grassland that has multi-functional roles and values can lead to huge economic value in the future in Jeju. Moreover, farm households which are located in the grassland conservation area would be supported $15{\sim}31$ billion won in every year for grassland conservation but it is only $4{\sim}8%$ of the economic value of grassland i.e. $3,971{\sim}4190$ billion won. Thus, grassland preservation policy and plan can raise green-tour commercial value of Jeju area as a long-term inside measurement. Those will have to be propelled continuously.

The purpose of this study is to consider of meaning in life based on Frankl's theory and to propose of hospice nursing according to conceptual framework of meaning in life. The conceptual framework of meaning in life is composed of 4 phases. According to the first phase, acceptance & awareness of self and life, hospice nurse should helps dying patient to accept limitedness of human existence and death. and according to the second phase, actualization of creative value, hospice nurse can helps dying patient to discover meaning in life through doing a deed for last time before his death. According to the third phase, actualization of experiential value, hospice nurse can helps them to discovery of meaning by experiencing of love through meetings with other people, nature, and god. According to the forth phase, actualization of attitudinal value, hospice nurse can helps them to discovery of meaning by realizing meaning in suffering and death through exercising of the inner freedom to choose bravery and acceptance in the face of death and misfortune. As mentioned above, the Frankl's theory accords with the core of hospice nursing that helps people to accomplish human essence in suffering and death. therefore we accepted Frankl's point of view, asserted that one of the most important roles of a hospice nurse as a supporter and sustainer for dying patients is to help patients to find meaning in life even in the course of death. To achieve the goal, hospice nurses should try to have a firm faith through philosophical introspection about life, death, human existence and meaning in life what the most important goal of life is to discover meaning in life and human have the duty and responsibility of recognizing and pursuing meaning up to the last moment of life.
