  • In this paper, an interface for the physical interactive game based on the exercise movement was designed. The interface which uses exercise motion detects was designed and applied to the physical interactive game. As a result, this application to the contents was made possible by combining the physical movements that involve motility through the training method. Furthermore, accurate exercise motions that correspond to each situation were induced using the game objects. The developed interface is expected to be used in a physical interactive game that incorporates other types of exercises.

Analysis of 10 cases of home health records of COPD clients without other major chronic illness, and Contents validity test Results 1. Vertical axis(l4 activities) physical and mental assessment, family assessment. environment assessment, rights and duties of client, oxygen use and safety, education of disease process and symptom, medication, nutrition and elimination, tests, activities, respiratory exercise, sleeping pattern. consultations and discharge planning. 2. Horizontal axis was set by the number of visits(average number of visits is 6.4) and vertical axis was set with 14 activities and the contents which should have occurred, according to the time frames of the horizontal axis. 3. According to the contents validity test, among the total of 234 items, 176 items showed over 83% agreement and 58 items showed less than 83% agreement. Those items with less than 83% agreements were either deleted or revised. Conclusion this critical pathway is applicable to the home health care of COPD clients to provide quality home nursing care services at lower cost.

  • This paper proposes a new direction of technical highschool in Korea and presents a network model for technical highschool. As a distributed intelligent portal, the network model connects to anywhere and consists of simulated practical exercise in a school's self portal intranet. A title of the simulated practice contents developed in a school would be posted on any open site connected to the network model so that anyone who want to use it in his/her practice class could download to his/her intranet portal site. This mechanism works in two good ways. One is a wide area networkness and another is an easy utilization of broad band width since teacher could use the contents in his/her school's own intranet band width. The paper also emphasize that teachers and educators should make an effort to develop good quality meta-contents.

  • Recently, the use of the internet and the web becomes universal. So, many internet applications are made by educators. In this paper, contents about the electromagnetics course which is one of the basic subjects for electrical and electronic fields are dealt. Most textbooks concerned this topic describes the phenomena in mathematical formulas. Naturally, for the students, the understanding of the phenomena is not so easy. For the improvement the educational efficiency, the multimedia techniques such as HTML, pictures, animations and sound are utilized. And also the software developed by authors is available for the analysis or the exercise of various electromagnetic problems. The contents are composed 4 parts : electrostatic fields, magnetostatic fields, time varying fields propagation of waves.

The objective of this study was to develop nutrition education materials for prevention and management of diabetes moll for older adults. Materials developed were a booklet and four leaflets. The contents of materials were based on lesson plans. After several revisions of the draft of materials, illustrations and icons appropriate to the contents were designed using illustrator 9.0 and Photoshop 6.0. The booklet was composed of five chapters and 40 pages. The first chapter began with an introduction about diabetes and diabetes management by diet, exercise and medication. The second chapter dealt with ideal body weight, calculation of adequate caloric intake and food exchange list. The third chapter provided information for meal planning and sample menus. The fourth chapter focused on practical tips on nutritional care of diabetes, by providing tips on reducing sugars, fat and salt, and suggestions on eating for special occasions. The fifth chapter dealt with information in case of low blood sugars, exercise and foot care. The topics of the four leaflets were “Diabetes, what is it and care”, “Food exchange list and meal planning”, “Healthy eating for diabetes”, “Special care for diabetes low blood sugars, exercise and foot care” Each leaflet was composed of six sections and was printed in large paper (B4 size) for older adults. The draft of educational materials were re-viewed by four nutrition professionals and finally pilot-tested with ten adults aged 50 and older. The characteristics of the developed materials are as follows, i) messages are delivered using simple, specific information, ⅱ) messages focused on practical applicable tips, ⅲ) various pictures, illustrations and artwork were created and inserted to enhance understanding and interest, ⅳ) sections including risk factor assessment, calculation of ideal body weight and meal planning were designed to induce the user's participation, ⅴ) sample menus and food pictures were inserted in the booklet, vi) characteristics of older adults and transformed characteristics are diversely used to help the user feel familiarity. These materials are self-explanatory and can be used by older adults. These materials also can be used widely in nutrition education at public health centers or senior centers.

There are many opinions that this is due to the impact of increased sedentary life along with economic growth. In this study, the international standard exercise status questionnaire was administered to patients and normal group who visited to the specialized cancer hospital in Korea, and to standardized scores of the exercise status (MET score) obtained from questionnaire were used to compare the impaction on breast cancer risk and difference of the MET score between the patients and control group. The ages of the study subjects were selected as subjects without statistical differences between the patients group and the normal group. also done with survey the family history, BMI, the menarche, age at birth of first child, the degree of education to exclude impaction on breast cancer risk depending on physical activity. In general, the breast cancer patients showed lower MET scores than the normal group, and the effect of activity on breast cancer was greater in post-menopausal women than in pre-menopausal women. Also BMI was similar to breast cancer risk. Maintaining proper weight through exercise can reduce the accumulation of carcinogens in breast cancer in the body, thereby reducing the incidence of breast cancer.

  • This study aims to see, a 10-weeks program of Body Stability Exercise(BSE) was conducted on 21 male handball players at Muan Y High School and then, the results of changes in Visual Response Speed Test, Functional Movement Screen, Y-Balance Test, and Vital Capacity were observed, compared and analyzed to provide follow-up management and training data that can be used to reduce injuries and improve performance. After training, strength and quickness were increased significantly and reaction time was significantly shortened (p<0.001). The total score of Functional Movement Screen was increased from 10.43±1.16, before training to 12.05±1.07 after training, which was statistically significant(p<0.001). Y-Balance Test was significantly increased from 89.18±6.99 before training to 91.39±7.33 after training(p<0.001). The Vital Capacity increase was also shown to be more than statistically significant(p<0.001). The 10-week BSE program improved speed, agility, Functional Movement Screen, Y-Balance Test, and Vital Capacity. • The life expectancy of people has been steadily extended due to the improvement of living standards and the development of medical technology. Besides, the low birth rate and long life expectancy decrease the youth population while the elderly population is steadily increasing. Many elderly people have enough time and financial allowance, and the interest in health care is increased all over society. There are also increasing numbers of elderly people who exercise lightly in the playgrounds and parks such as running and walking. Outdoor fitness equipment that can be easily seen in neighbourhood parks, public spaces, etc. can be good health promotion tools that can be easily accessed in the daily life of the elderly. Outdoor fitness equipment Description Signs require a design that takes into account the declining vision of older users. Proper design is also important for the prevention of safety accidents in use. The purpose of this study is to find out the perception of the elderly about outdoor fitness exercise equipment sign system and to find the problem of recognition. To do this, we conduct user observation and interview surveys for the elderly. As a result, the emphasis of the caveat or problems with the size of the writing were pointed out, and it was necessary to explain the picture rather than the text. Also, there was a high demand for refraining from using foreign words, using universal words and including motor effects in signs. Based on the results of the user observation and interviews, we propose guidelines for the use of outdoor exercise equipment.
