This study aims to construct the integrative performance evaluation model of informatization programs. In order to achieve the purpose of research, first of all, the three major theoretical paradigms (technical/functional, economic/financial, and interpretive/alternative paradigms) are comparatively analyzed concerning their philosophical and methodological perspectives. Also, a number of important studies and research model in the area of IS (Information Systems) evaluation are critically reviewed. And then actual problems and limitations on the process of implementing IS performance evaluation are sought through investigating domestic and foreign practices. Based upon theoretical and practical review of informatization evaluation and logical reasoning, the components of ideal performance evaluation scheme for informatization program are derived, and the integrative performance evaluation model which can comprehensively represent the relationship among the components is conceptually proposed. For researchers, this study provides the theoretical basis for reasonably deriving the performance variables of informatization programs and empirically validating the performance of managing informatization programs. And in real world, the results of this study are very likely to contribute to presenting the practical guideline for desirably implementing performance evaluation of informatization programs.

This study aims to propose the ways to improve the research performance evaluation to support the establishment of a sound research culture. For the study, we analyzed the cases of domestic and foreign research performance evaluation, and a survey and an interview were conducted for faculty and research performance evaluation officials, respectively. In the study, the direction of establishing the principle of research performance evaluation, the method of categorizing the type of research performance, the method and procedure of research performance evaluation, and necessary documents were proposed. First, eight principles were suggested to be considered in evaluating research achievements to ensure the validity, reliability, and transparency of the evaluation while supplementing the limitations of quantitative evaluation. Second, the main types of research achievements were categorized into journal articles, books, and presentations at academic conferences. Third, as a research achievement evaluation method, a hybrid evaluation using quantitative and qualitative and multiple measurement indicators was proposed. Fourth, a total of 11 steps (required 7 steps) were presented as a procedure for research achievement evaluation. Fifth, publications, evaluation documents, and committee chair's reports were proposed as major documents for research achievement evaluation. The research achievement evaluation improvement plan presented in this study should be flexibly applied in consideration of the characteristics of the academic and research fields and universities.

The purpose of this paper, the 2nd stage of this study. is to test the applicability of the potential centrality evaluation model (PCEM) to a case study area. To verify the practical applicabilities of the PCEM, an administrative area of Ucheon-myeon, Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon-do was selected as a study area. Full data on the human environments of total 72 villages within the study area were surveyed. Data on the natural environments were collected through GIS analysis from digital maps developed far this study. The highest PCI (Potential Centrality Index) score was shown at Uhang village of which one being 841 (total score being 1,000), the real single center village of the study area. The evaluation results on potential centeralities of all the villages in the study area would provide decision-makers with more precised information for selection of center villages for development project.

There are no objective standards for selection and improvement of SLA evaluation metrics for IT service. In this study, we analyze the current IT maturity models for selection and improvement of the metrics and then we derive them according to the maturity levels and propose the redesigned maturity model. To verify whether the model is applicable, we execute a case study based on the D company. We apply the proposed evaluation metrics of the maturity models to the D company and evaluate the metrics. We select a proper level of the D company and an improvement line after measuring evaluation metrics in the maturity level 2. We propose improvement guidelines of evaluation metrics which score is less than the improvement line's and derive SLA evaluation metrics. By using the SLA evaluation metrics for a year, we prove that the way of selection and improvement is useful.

The purpose of this study is to develop the assessment categories, items and detailed criteria for environmental friendly evaluation on the School. The results of this study brings on promoted environmental friendly appreciation, energy and resource conservation, reduction of contaminant, improvement of environment quality in and around buildings. For this purpose, analysis of domestic and foreign environmental friendly architectural citation screening system-BREEAM(1991), LEED 2.0(2001), GBTool(2002), KICTEAC (2000), KOEAM(2000), etc.-was preceded, and through interview, survey and forum with professional group, the developed evaluation items were verified and reappraised. The developed evaluation items were composed of thirty four essential evaluation items and nine bonus items.

This study examined weight techniques for applying to DB evaluation This study, then analyzed DB evaluation criteria in terms of category, content, and business model. Finally, it showed the use example of AHP technique to rank the important evaluation factors. These results will be used to evaluate factors which we significant in determining how well the given DB is appropriate in your environment.

This paper explores and proposes the evaluation criteria of design projects in the entry-level design course. In the entry-level engineering design course the students proceeds various design projects to understand the concept of engineering design process and to develop the creativity. The evaluation criteria of design projects is very important component because the outcome of students in the engineering design course are effected from the evaluation criteria that enforces the students to focus on doing their task. According to this case study the evaluation criteria can be good solution to evaluate the design projects. By the outcome standard of ABEEK on the entry-level engineering design course the evaluation criteria was selected with the results of design projects such as design plan, report, handicrafts, objectives.

The condensation performance evaluation is required for improved living environment of apartment housings. In the current condensation performance evaluation process, high demand of manual works and repetitive process cause unexpected risks due to uncertainty and inefficiency by applying 2D CAD drawings in simulation tool. Furthermore, the evaluation requires taking in action responding to the expanding use of BIM. In this study, the analysis of current evaluation process and required functions for the process improvement based on BIM modeling were deducted from interviews with experts. It is expected that the results of this study can be employed to develop of process automation module for condensation simulation evaluation.

The purposes of this study were to identify the dimensions of advertising evaluation and to examine the influence of advertising evaluation on advertising attitude and buying intension. Also this study categorized the advertising responses. Through the pretest, 15 casual wear brand＇s advertisements were selected and presented as stimuli. The data was collected from 377 female university students using questionnaire and analyzed by descriptive statistics, factor analysis and multiple regression fer path analysis. The results of This study were as follows. First, 5 factors were identified for the dimensions of advertising evaluation: model/message/product/brand/tone ＆ manner. Second, through the path analysis, advertising evaluation had direct and indirect influences on buying intension. The influences of dimensions of advertising evaluation on buying intension were also examined: model, message and product had indirect influence on buying intension mediated by advertising attitude, whereas product and brand had direct influence on buying intension. Especially, product affected considerably on buying intension. Third, advertising responses were categorized into five dimensions: tone ＆ manner/model/message/product/brand.

Recently, the affiliates of the Ministry of Information and Communication have been conducting a performance evaluation study on IT policy projects, based on the performance evaluation model of the U.S. Office of Management and Budgets, with regard to investment in computerization. The performance evaluation model for the policy project could provide the objective information required for the planning, development, and operation of the policy project. However, the performance of the most policy project is likely to be evaluated using the subjective evaluation criteria of evaluators. Therefore, this case study evaluates the relative efficiency using DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) in order to improve the performance evaluation method of the digital pioneer' project implemented by the Korea IT Industry Promotion Agency. The improvement value of inefficient Decision Making Units (DMUs) was measured by a static efficiency analysis. The measured value will suggest a objective viewpoint of the performance between DMUs to evaluators. In doing so, it will show an appropriate direction for the policy project to be evaluated successfully.
