'천지공사'의 종교윤리적 의미에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Religious-Ethical Meaning of 'Reorganizing the order of Heaven and Earth' in the Scripture of Daesoonjinrihoe)

  • The purpose of this study is to research the religious-ethical meaning of the scripture (Jeongyung, 典經) of Daesoonjinrihoe, one of religious orders in Korea. It is 'the reorganizing in the order of heaven and earth' (ROHE, 天地公事)that the believers of Daesoonjinrihoe regard as the essence and basis of their religious belief in Jeongyung, and so I focus on it in this paper. And I have applied the method of religious ethics that recognize the relation religion and morality for understanding religious-ethical meaning of moral principles and norms. In the process of this study I have selected a lot of moral principles, norms and activities in ROHE, and sorted them with their social context of ROHE. In this research I have found some characteristics of ethical norms in the ROHE according to three divisions of ethical category such as personal, social and natural ethics. The understanding of mind is an important point of personal ethic in the ROHE. The mind is understood as the subject and object of personal ethical attitude and volition. So one could have ethical attitude by oneself with mind as subject, and reflect and correct on his ethical faults with the mind as ethical object. The distinctiveness of social ethic in the ROHE is special concerns to the weak at that time such as sick person, illegitimate children, shamans, farmhands and etc. This is a logical consequence of the ethical altruism of the ethic of mutual beneficence(相生) and the dignity of human(人尊) in ROHE. And the ethics of mutual beneficence is applied to natural ethic of ROHE. Since natural world including all sort of plants and animals is intimately related to the human worlds, so it is a desirable attitude for to accommodate to the changes of nature. Even if these characteristics of ethics in ROHE are justified by the religious beliefs, the norms from them are available in our religious pluralistic societies, since they have common ethical values of other religious ethics. It is my concluding remark that religious orders or denominations have to offer a lot of moral norms suitable to religious pluralistic situation. Because it is needed for our society to conquer various sort and kind conflicts among religions, and to act harmoniously together for public peace.

비건 패션제품 구매의도 결정요인 - 수정된 계획행동모델의 적용 - (Determinants of purchase intention for vegan fashion products - Application of the modified planned behavior model -)

  • This study explores determinants of purchase intentions for vegan fashion products based on the modified planned behavior model. Survey data from 434 university students were subjected to an analysis using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and structural equation modeling. The results showed that almost half of the consumers surveyed recognized vegan fashion products and a little more than a half of consumers surveyed had purchase experience for vegan fashion products. Clothing, bags, and shoes are the most frequently purchased vegan fashion product categories. From the results of the model test, purchase intentions on vegan fashion products were determined by attitude, subjective norms, ethical responsibility, and ethical identity of the consumers. When consumers have a more positive attitude, have higher subjective norms, stronger ethical responsibility, and stronger ethical identity regarding the purchase of vegan fashion products, they are likely to have a greater intention to purchase vegan fashion products. The findings contribute to the literature by adding test results for vegan fashion products among the ethical product categories, highlighting the importance of the consideration of product category, which can give somewhat different results when exploring ethical consumption. Based on these findings, marketers need to use special tags or signage highlighting the ethical values and meanings of vegan fashion products to better communicate with target consumers with a high level of ethical responsibility and to help increase consumers' control over purchase behaviors through reducing barriers generated by insufficient product information.

대학생의 인터넷 정보윤리 준수 실태 측정과 분석 (Measurement and Analysis of the Internet Ethics Observance among Undergraduate Students in Korea)

  • 우리나라의 정보화는 세계적으로 높은 수준을 기록하고 있으며 사회 전 영역에서 인터넷 이용이 일상화되었으나 매체적 특성으로 인한 역기능의 폐해가 심각한 사회문제로 대두되었다. 본 연구는 온라인 문화를 주도하는 대학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하여(N=830) 정보윤리준수 실태를 파악하고 개선책을 제시하기 위한 것이다. 구체적으로 정보예절 인식, 정보규범 실태, 온라인신뢰 수준을 측정하고 분석하였으며, 개인적 배경과 관련 교육경험 등의 변인에 따른 차이를 검증하였다. 응답자들의 정보예절 인식 수준은 낮은 편이며, 6가지 범주의 정보규범에서 모두 일탈 정도가 크고, 온라인신뢰 수준은 일반대중보다 낮다. 정보예절 인식 수준은 성별과 학년에 따라, 정보규범 수준은 성별에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 교육경험은 정보윤리에 영향을 미치지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 분석결과에 기초하여 윤리 수준을 제고시키기 위한 방안을 제언하였다.

Role-based Morality, Ethical Pluralism, and Morally Capable Robots

  • Dominant approaches to designing morally capable robots have been mainly based on rule-based ethical frameworks such as deontology and consequentialism. These approaches have encountered both philosophical and computational limitations. They often struggle to accommodate remarkably diverse, unstable, and complex contexts of human-robot interaction. Roboticists and philosophers have recently been exploring underrepresented ethical traditions such as virtuous, role-based, and relational ethical frameworks for designing morally capable robots. This paper employs the lens of ethical pluralism to examine the notion of role-based morality in the global context and discuss how such cross-cultural analysis of role ethics can inform the design of morally competent robots. In doing so, it first provides a concise introduction to ethical pluralism and how it has been employed as a method to interpret issues in computer and information ethics. Second, it reviews specific schools of thought in Western ethics that derive morality from role-based obligations. Third, it presents a more recent effort in Confucianism to reconceptualize Confucian ethics as a role-based ethic. This paper then compares the shared norms and irreducible differences between Western and Eastern approaches to role ethics. Finally, it discusses how such examination of pluralist views of role ethics across cultures can be conducive to the design of morally capable robots sensitive to diverse value systems in the global context.

여행사에서의 윤리적 풍토와 이직의도 -신뢰와 조직 동일시의 매개효과- (Ethical Climate and Turnover Intentions in Travel Agency -Mediating of Trust and Organizational Identification-)

  • 본 연구는 여행사 종사원을 대상으로 하여 윤리적 풍토, 신뢰, 조직 동일시 및 이직의도와의 관계를 연구하였다. 윤리적 풍토는 윤리적 내용에 대한 전형적인 조직관행과 절차에 있어서의 지배적인 인식이다. 즉 조직 작업환경 내에서의 옳고 그름에 대한 지각과 기업 내에서 수용하거나 수용할 수 없는 행동에 대한 규범을 세우는 것을 포함한다. 이에 본 연구는 윤리적 풍토에 대한 인식이 신뢰와 조직 동일시 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향관계를 실증적으로 규명하고자 문헌연구와 더불어 여행사의 종사원들을 대상으로 231부의 설문지를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 윤리적 풍토는 신뢰와 조직 동일시 및 이직의도에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 신뢰와 이직의도는 유의성이 없는 반면, 조직 동일시와 이직의도는 유의성이 검증되었다. 마지막으로 윤리적 풍토와 이직의도간의 관계에서 조직동일시의 매개효과만 검증되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 윤리적 풍토의 측면에서의 시사점과 연구의 한계점 및 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.

인공지능 윤리 인식에 대한 데이터 분석 및 시각화 연구 -대화형 인공지능 서비스 '이루다'를 중심으로- (A Data Analysis and Visualization of AI Ethics -Focusing on the interactive AI service 'Lee Luda'-)

  • 사람을 대상으로 하는 인공지능 서비스가 증가하면서 인공지능에서도 윤리적 토대 위에서 이루어져야 한다는 사회적 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 흐름에 따라 정부와 기업에서는 인공지능 윤리와 관련된 정책, 규범 등을 마련하고 있다. 합리적인 정책, 규범을 마련하기 위해서는 대중들이 가지고 있는 인식을 파악하는 것이 첫 번째 단계이다. 본 논문에서는 인공지능과 윤리에 대한 대중들의 인식을 파악하기 위해 소셜데이터와 뉴스 댓글을 수집하고 관심도 분석, 감성 분석, 담론 분석 수행 후 시각화하였다. 분석 결과, "인공지능 윤리"에 대한 관심도와 '인공지능" 호감도는 반비례하는 상관관계를 보여주었다. 담론분석 결과로, 가장 큰 이슈가 "개인정보 유출"이었고 학습 데이터의 오염 및 편향 문제와 컴퓨터로 만들어진 인공지능에게 법인격을 부여해야 하는지에 대한 담론도 보여주었다. 본 연구가 인공지능 윤리 규범, 정책을 마련할 때 대중들의 인식을 파악할 수 있는 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Institutions and Women Entrepreneurship: The Mediating Role of Women Entrepreneurial Self Efficacy and Ethical Decision Making

  • Women entrepreneurs play a vital role in employment creation, economic development, and growth. Women entrepreneurship is deep-rooted in the social and cultural norms and values of society. Women's entrepreneurship contribution is still invisible and needs to be properly investigated. The current research study explores "how institutions affect women's entrepreneurial performance in Pakistan" by using institutional and social cognitive theories. Focusing on the Formal and informal institutions, this research examines how institutions are affecting women's entrepreneurial performance by taking the mediating role of women's entrepreneurial self-efficacy and ethical decision making. A 7-point Likert scale research questionnaire is used to collect primary data. Data on active entrepreneurs are collected from the Peshawar, Mardan, and Abbottabad divisions of KPK's Women Chambers of Commerce. The data is empirically tested through the path analysis technique of structural equation modeling (SEM) through SMART PLS 3. The results indicated that women's entrepreneurial self-efficacy and ethical decision-making strongly mediate both institutions and significantly affect women's entrepreneurial performance. The study suggests that government and concerned departments should pay due attention to determinants like informal institutions and social constraints to boost women's entrepreneurial performance.

The Merits of Social Credit Rating in China? An Exercise in Interpretive Pros Hen Ethical Pluralism

  • Social credit rating in China (SCRC) has been criticized as "dystopian" and "Orwellian," an attempt by the Communist Party to hold onto power by exerting ever greater control over its citizens. To explain such measures, value differences are often invoked, that Chinese value stability and cooperation over privacy and freedom. However, these explanations are oversimplifications that result in ethical impasses. This article argues social credit rating should be understood in terms of the commonly human problem of large-scale cooperation. To do so, this paper relies on a cultural evolutionary framework and is an exercise in interpretive pros hen ethical pluralism, attempting to understand how apparently irresolvable cultural differences stem from common human concerns. Wholesale condemnation of SCRC fails to acknowledge the serious, intractable nature of problems resulting from a lack of trust in China. They take for granted the existence of institutions ensuring largescale, anonymous cooperation characteristic of - but somewhat unique to - Western Educated Industrialized Rich and Democratic (WEIRD) cultures. Because of its history and rapid development, China lacks the institutions necessary to ensure such cooperation, and because of anti-social punishment, social credit rating might be one of the few ways to ensure cooperation at this scale. The point is not to defend social credit rating in general, but to raise the possibility of its defense in China and show one way this would be done.

도덕과 교육에서의 환경 교육 (Environmental Education in the Moral Education)

  • The goals of moral education according to the 7th educational curriculum are (1) to learn the basic life custom and ethical norms necessary to desirable life, (2) to develop the judgment to solve desirably and practically the ethical matters in daily life, (3) to develop the sound citizenship, national identity and consciousness, and the consciousness of world peace and mankind's mutual prosperity, and (4) to develop the ethical propensity to practice the ideal and principle of life systematically Based on the goals in the above, the following can be established as goals of environmental education possible: (1) to learn judgment to solve practically the environmental problems in the society with their ethical understanding, and (2) to recognize that environmental consciousness is the basic necessity of sound citizenship and national identity and consciousness, and mankind's mutual prosperity, and to have attitudes to practice environmental preservation in daily life. Like these, the intellectual aspect, the affective aspect, and the active aspect can be established in the environmental education in the ethics education keeping their balance. In order to achieve its goals, the contents of ethics subject are organized largely with 4 domains: (1) individual life, (2) home life, life with neighbors, and school life, (3) social life, and (4) national life. Among these, environmental education is mainly included in the domain of social life. These contents concerning environmental education take 22 (32.4%) out of the whole 68 teaching factors which are taught in the ethics subject from the 3rd grade to 10th grade. These 22 environmental teaching factors are mainly related to environmental ethics, environmental preservation and measures, and sound consumption life. Classified according to each goal, the environmental contents in the 7th curriculum for ethics subject put emphasis on environmental value and attitudes, action and participation, and information and knowledge. Therefore, the recommendable teaching and learning method for the environmental education in ethics subject is to motivate students' practice or to make them practice in person. For example, role-play model, value-conflict model, group study model can be applied according to the topics of environmental education.

조선후기 문학작품의 지옥 형상화와 그 성격 (Hell Formation and Character of Literary Works of the Late Joseon Dynasty)

  • 이 글은 '저승길' '심판' '징벌'의 지옥 관련 화소를 포함하고 있는 조선후기 문학작품을 대상으로, 지옥 형상화의 양상과 그 성격에 대해 살펴보았다. <인과문> <권왕가> 등의 불교가사는 지옥에서의 징벌 양상을 상세하게 묘사하고 있으며, 징벌의 이유로 살생 망어 음주 사견 등의 5악 내지 10악을 제시하고 있다. 이들 가사에 나타난 '지옥'은 '불전 속의 지옥'과 큰 차이가 없다. '회심곡'의 경우는 시왕의 심판을 받는 죄인을 남자와 여자로 구분한 뒤, 남자에게는 선행의 덕목을, 여자에게는 악행의 항목을 제시하고 있다. 선행의 덕목과 악행의 항목들에는 불교적 윤리 규범과, '삼강오륜'을 포함한 유교적 윤리 규범이 공존하고 있다. 지옥 관련 야담과 한글소설은 징벌의 양상 및 그 이유가 작품에 따라 조금씩 차이가 있지만, 지옥행의 원인을 통해 '삼강오륜'을 중심으로 한 윤리적 덕목들을 강조하고 있는 공통점을 보인다. 그리고 대체로 지옥행의 원인에 비해 지옥의 징벌 화소가 축소되어 나타나 있다. 이러한 특징은 지옥 관련 조선후기 문학작품이 지옥의 고통을 환기시켜 불도수행에 힘쓸 것을 권하기보다는, 일반 대중에게 익숙한 '지옥 관념'을 활용하여 일상생활에서 지켜야 하는 윤리적 덕목들을 제공 또는 교육시키는데에 주된 목적이 있었음을 보여준다. 유교적 윤리 규범의 강조는 지옥 관련 문학작품에만 국한되는 현상은 아니다. 이들 작품이 창작 유통된 19세기에는 유교적 윤리 규범을 강조하는 교화서 교훈가사 권선서의 찬술 및 간행이 급증하고 있는 것이다. 이와 같은 유교적 윤리의식의 고양 내지 강화는 삼정(三政)의 문란, 잦은 민란의 발생, 천주교의 교세 확장 등 기존 체제를 위협하는 사회적 혼란에 대한 19세기 조선사회의 위기의식에서 기인한 것이라 할 수 있다. 특히 조선후기 지옥 관련 문학작품의 창작 유통은 천주교의 유포 및 확산과 관련이 있다. 당시의 일반 대중들 사이에서 천주교가 널리 확산되었던 이유 중의 하나는 '천당 지옥설'이었고, 집권층 및 유가 지식인들의 주요 공격 대상이 되었던 천주교의 교리 또한 천당 지옥설이었기 때문이다. 결국, 조선후기 문학작품의 지옥 형상화는 19세기 조선사회가 직면했던 사회적 혼란에 대한 위기의식을 반영한 것이자, 당시 널리 확산되고 있던 천주교의 지옥설에 대한 문학적 대응의 성격을 갖는다고 할 수 있다.
