Digital holographic reconstruction method [W. A. Veronesi, et al, 1989, JASA, Vol. 85, pp. 588∼598] reconstructs a whole sound field by using measured sound pressure. This paper reports numerical errors of the method that occur at specific frequencies. The errors occur due to the truncation errors included in the calculation of transfer matrixes. The frequencies of the errors depend on the size of boundary element surfaces. Moreover, a modified calculation technique is proposed in the paper. The technique prevents the truncation errors by employing an indirect calculation procedure.

This paper investigates the asymmetric costs of false errors to enhance the detection systems performance. The proposed method utilizes the network model to consider the cost ratio of false errors. By comparing false positive errors with false negative errors this scheme achieved better performance on the view point of both security and system performance objectives. The results of our empirical experiment show that the network model provides high accuracy in detection. In addition, the simulation results show that effectiveness of probe detection is enhanced by considering the costs of false errors.
The purpose of this study is to look for the plan of reconstructing a textbook through error analysis and the process of its correction in numbers and operations of the first grade. The Research materials are collected and analyzed through the journal about every lessons, the recording sheets of students' activity, the recording videotapes during lessons, the individual interview and observation. This study investigated 4 errors which are useful for reconstructing textbook, the errors of understanding relation between numerical expression and number line, the errors of drawing-strategy, the errors of understanding relation between additive expression and subtractive expression, the errors of subtraction has to be regrouped. The errors are classified into some types and analyzed focusing on content of each error. Reinstructing are carried out based on material analyzed for correcting errors.

In this paper, we have described and simulated the effect analysis and correction of phase errors in the SAR rawdata induced by satellite attitude errors such as drift, jitter. This simulation is based on the FSA(Frequency Scaling Algorithm) for high resolution image formation of the Spotlight SAR. Phase errors produce the degradation of SAR image quality such as loss of resolution, geometric distortion, loss of contrast, spurious targets, and decrease in SNR. To resolve this problem, this paper presents method for correction of phase errors using the PGA(Phase Gradient Algorithm) in connection with the FSA. Several results of the phase errors correction are presented for Spotlight SAR rawdata.

Fire control system(FCS) errors can be classified as hardware errors, filter prediction errors, effective ballistic function errors, and aiming errors. Among these errors, the filter prediction errors are the most significant error sources. To reduce them, a target future position calculation method using the acceleration estimate is suggested and it is compared with the constant velocity target prediction method. Simulation results show that the suggested method has better performance than the constant velocity prediction method. Target tracking algorithm is established with multiple target tracking filters based on IMM structure.
The study was done to find out if there's any correlation between the results of the state-run college entrance examination called "suneung," or college scholastic ability test (CSAT) and the frequency of errors of the medical and nursing students. These two groups of students were subjects for the research. The study was based on the writing of fresh year students who were required to take four-credit-hour English course. These students' writing, particularly their self introduction, was analyzed to see if medical students (the high-scored) made fewer errors on the writing and nursing students (the medium-scored) made more critical errors or vice versa, and furthermore, if the results of the scores had any correlation on the critical errors in writing. The concern of the study was also to explain the attributable factors of the outcome if the high-scored of CSAT actually made fewer errors as well as the types of critical errors made and ways to minimize them.
This paper is to develop the position error equations including the attitude errors, the errors of nadir and ship's heading, and the errors of ship's position in the free-gyro positioning and directional system. In doing so, the determination of ship's position by two free gyro vectors was discussed and the algorithmic design of the free-gyro positioning and directional system was introduced briefly. Next, the errors of transformation matrices of the gyro and body frames, i.e. attitude errors, were examined and the attitude equations were also derived. The perturbations of the errors of the nadir angle including ship's heading were investigated in each stage from the sensor of rate of motion of the spin axis to the nadir angle obtained. Finally, the perturbation error equations of ship's position used the nadir angles were derived in the form of a linear error model and the concept of FDOP was also suggested by using covariance of position error.

Collection of data on several variables, especially in the field of medicine, results in the problem of measurement errors. The presence of such measurement errors may influence the outcomes or estimates of the parameter in the model. In classification scenario, the presence of measurement errors will affect the intrinsic cum summary measures of Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve. In the context of ROC curve, only a few researchers have attempted to study the problem of measurement errors in estimating the area under their respective ROC curves in the framework of univariate setup. In this paper, we work on the estimation of area under the multivariate ROC curve in the presence of measurement errors. The proposed work is supported with a real dataset and simulation studies. Results show that the proposed bias-corrected estimator helps in correcting the AUC with minimum bias and minimum mean square error.
In mathematical problem solving, students may make various errors. In order to draw useful lessons from the errors, and then correct them, we surveyed 24 eighth-grade students' performances in geometrical problem solving according to Casey's hierarchy of errors. It was found that: 1. Students' effect can lead to errors at the stage of "comprehension", "strategy selection", and "skills manipulation"; and 2. Students' geometric schemas also influenced their strategy selection".
We analyze the effect of main inertial sensor errors such as, misalignment, scale factor error and bias on the performance of modified sequential probability ratio test (SPRT) for sequential fault detection and isolation (FDI). The inertial sensor errors cause the modified SPRT method to give false alarm. We use a two-stage KF to obtain a modified parity vector with which the inertial sensor errors can be removed and thus modified SPRT method can be used regardless of inertial sensor errors.
