A Study of Design for Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor by using d-q Axis Equivalent Circuit Method (d-q축 등가회로 해석기법을 이용한 180 W급 IPMSM 설계에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a design of the Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM). an initial design process is accomplished by using the parametric design. In the design process, motor characteristics of parameters is computed by the d-q axis equivalent circuit model. Then, an optimal design process is accomplished by combination the experimental design and the response surface method. Finally, the design and analysis results are verified with experimental results.

  • This paper presents the characteristics analysis of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors(IPMSMs). The development of this program is based on Matlab. In oder to achieve the development of the program, basis algorithm for IPMSMs analysis took advantage of equivalent magnetic circuit analysis technique. The equivalent magnetic circuit analysis for IPMSMs are based on a rotate synchronous d-q reference frame. The mathematical model of the d-q frame voltage equations is used frequently for the analysis of IPMSMs. This program can consider a cross saturation effect and a iron loss and mechanical loss, and provide fast analysis results of IPMSMs characteristics.

  • In this study a low-signal equivalent circuit based on DSB model is proposed for ZnO-based varistor. As a equivalent circuit simulation result dielectric loss factor $tan{\delta}$ shows 2 peaks in low frequency and high frequency regions. The low-frequency peak means the relaxation by deep defects and the high-frequency peak means the relaxation by shallow defects.

  • The properties such as capacitance and resonant frequency are important in embedded capacitors. Accurate equivalent model is required to find these properties of embedded capacitor. In this paper, we investigate to analyze the properties of high-K embedded capacitor which was fabricated by Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic (LTCC). Modeling based on partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) method is performed using HSPICE circuit simulation. This modeling methodology can provide the good inspection of embedded capacitor to device engineer.

  • Impedance matching characteristics of planar type inductively coupled plasma sources are investigated utilizing the previously reported two-dimensional theory[1] of the anomalous skin effect. Two types of matching networks are considered, and the values of the circuit elements are expressed as functions of various reactor parameter. Also, two cases of perfect and imperfect matching conditions are considered and the functional dependence of the values of matching capacitance and reflection coefficient on the various reactor parameters are investigated using the present circuit model.

  • This paper describes the analysis results on the PT ferroresonance at 154 kV GIS (gas Insulated substation by EMTP(Electro- magnetic Transient Program). We had simulated the PT ferroresonance between a potential transformer(PT) and an open circuit breaker's grading capacitance. The ferroresonance leads to very large power frequency overvoltages on PT bus and subsequent insulation failure. The large power can be supplied to the PT by the high voltage on the opened circuit due to the grading capacitance and equivalent capacitance of the buses during the ferroresonance. The damping circuit connected on the secondary winding were considered in the model. The actual countermeasure include a saturable inductor and a resistor series-mounted, but the 2 ohms of damping resistance was used in the computationl model.

  • This paper deals with a bidirectional ac-dc converter used in ups system application. We propose a Voltage-Source-Charge-Pump-Power-Factor-Correction(VS-CPPFC) ac-dc converters. First of all, we propose a charge pump power-factor-correction converter. Secondly, we derive and analyse a unity power factor condition. The proposed topology is based on a half-bridge for the primary and a current-fed push pull for the secondary side of a high frequency isolation transformer. The advantage of bidirectional flow of power achieved by using the same power components is that the circuit is simple and efficient. And the galvanically isolated topology is specially attractive in battery charge/discharge circuits in ups system. We design equivalent model for the steady-state circuit and analyse operation waveforms for each mode. We show that the proposed model can be applied to ups system by simulation processes.

  • In this paper, we present a set of methodologies to model the electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS) testing of I/O buffers for mobile system memory based on the bulk current injection (BCI) method. An efficient equivalent circuit model is developed for the current injection probe, line impedance stabilization network (LISN), printed circuit board (PCB), and package. The simulation results show good correlation with the measurements and thus, the work presented here will enable electromagnetic susceptibility analysis at the integrated circuit (IC) design stage.

  • Simple equivalent circuit model is developed for wireless energy transfer system via coupled magnetic resonances and practical design method is also provided. Node equations for the resonance system are built with the method expanding transformer's equations and the optimum distances of coils in the system is derived analytically for optimum coupling coefficients for high transfer efficiency. Moreover, to calculate the frequency characteristics for a lossy system the equivalent model is established at an electric design automation tool. The model parameters of the actual system are extracted and the results of modeling are compared with the measurement. Through the developed model, we can understand the principles that the system shows higher efficiency than conventional magnetic coupling systems and impedance matching is important to achieve high efficiency.
