A Basic Study of the Model for Integrated Procurement System in Construction using Internet (인터넷 기반 건설업의 통합 조달 시스템 구축방안에 관한 기초 연구)

  • As characteristic of construction industries, the Issues of construction management have been pointed out because of time and space limit among construction project participants (owner, supervisor, builder, experiment specialty institute, specialty construction company, material supplier and equipment supplier). To improve these issues, procurement system has been introduced by using internet and intranet. Procurement system that was developed by some of large construction companies was considered only internal supply on closed system method. They also restricted to article supply as supply concept. In this paper, we suggest a plan to establish integrated construction procurement system that expands to the article, service and construction work supplies by utilizing the bi-directional and real-time contact system and presents related following research program.

  • The military purpose vehicles are developed by using the platform of civil vehicles according to the commercial vehicle expansion plan and military supplied product commercialization policy. But the information related to the military purpose vehicle which adopts the same platform with the civil vehicle is forced to be exposed because its information is revealed by containing into the maintenance manual and electric circuit diagram. Especially, the information disclosure should be blocked by reviewing the application of technology protection because the military vehicle becomes combating purposed mixed equipment when the missile and radar are mounted. The mixed equipment means the one configured with more than 2 types of equipment, and it is categorized into the main and sub equipment. This study was performed to derive the problems in Korean system for vehicle part test evaluation on the mixed equipment and the defense industry technology protection system, and to derive the methods for improving through interviews with the specialists. The conflicts between the civil laws and army regulation were reduced by adding a clause that the engine reflected with the newest emission gas standard should be mounted based on the time of force integration, and the commercialized military supplies were designated as element technology of defense industry technology in consideration of its roles and functions.

  • A majority of piping vibration problems are induced by internal fluid pulsation; turbulent flow, vortex shedding at internal discontinuities, and pressure pulsation at equipment nozzles. The pulsation at the pressure sources resonates acoustically with the piping and the amplified pressure pulsation can generate shell mode vibration in the piping. Reheater attemperator piping supplies water from feedwater pump to reheater attemperator to control the boiler temperature. In normal operating condition, the high frequency shell mode vibration occurred in the piping with the high level of sound(105 ${\sim}$ 117 dB). The vibration sources are pressure pulsation in the pump nozzle and the frequencies are related to the blade passing frequencies. The objects of this paper are to analyze the cause of the high frequency vibration and to establish corrective actions.

  • AC substation of urban transit supplies a suitable AC power on electricity vehicles. AC substation is verified electrical safety of system through pre-operation inspection on electrical installations to be supplied power from KEPCO. However, because test items and method for AC traction system are unprepared on pre-operation inspection, the general safety and performance verification of AC traction system are very insufficient. Therefore this paper analyze the test examples such as factory equipment tests, factory combined tests and railway tests for the safety and performance verification of AC traction system and present a suitable test items and test standard in domestic.

  • New products often have in-service reliability problem despite an intensive development program. Therefore reliability data must be collected and analyzed, and improvements designed and implemented. A type of reliability incentive contract which has recently attracted a lot of attention is reliability improvement warranty(RIW). It has been employed by military, airlines, telecommunication systems, and public utilities. An RIW contract requires that the supplies carries out all repairs, modify the equipment to improve its reliability, and provides all spates needed, for a fixed period, for once-off fee. This paper presents the reliability growth analysis and management methods for in-service MC68 microprocessor, which is the main component of the base station controller in PCS(Personal Communication Service) telecommunication system. The methods will provide guidelines to monitor reliability program in planning RIW contract.

  • This paper is a study on the hand gesture recognition using Instance-based teaming, Symbolic learning algorithms and Power Glove which supplies information on finger position, hand position and orientation. The data were carefully examined, and a few features of the data that would serve as good discriminants between signs when used with the learning algorithms were extracted. The hand gesture data collected from 5 people were applied to the teaming algorithms. In spite of the noise and accuracy constraints of the equipment used, some accuracy rates were achieved.

  • In recent years power supplies for telecommunication equipment is required smaller size and higher efficiency, and low noise operation. There exists a series resonant converter in which the switching loss is reduced in order to realize a high efficiency converter. However, if a constant voltage regulation is required.   • Transmission System Operators are governed by operational security standards that are applied in real time. During system disturbances, the System Operators must rely on the installed protection and control equipment, prior to human intervention. New power electronic solutions bring rapid and repeatable responses to disturbances, which will help System Operators to guarantee a stable system. Last year, Alstom completed the world's first competitively bid STATCOM to support the voltage on National Grid's 400kV network that supplies London and the Southeast from the north of the UK. It is rated ${\pm}75MVAr$ and forms part of a Static Var System (SVS) with a total rating of 0 to 225MVAr. This paper will describe the reasons for its size, location, its chain-link configuration and give examples of its operating performance. The paper will also describe the features that allow this STATCOM to deliver much more than reactive compensation in support of a wider transmission service objective, as system conditions require.
