The wide deployment of wireless access technologies and the integration of various access network interfaces into a single terminal, allows mobile end-users to be always connected to the IP network, and to use those interface simultaneously. In this paper the CTE provides various access network interfaces capabilities, allowing reception of data over multiple service providers with different characteristics. Considerations for multiple network and service provider environments are regarded as essential for the successful deployment of convergence services in Next Generation Network (NGN). Event Driven Service (EDS) is regarded as a typical convergence service converging different functions of multiple service providers. This paper first describes the deployment model of NGN convergence services for multiple service provider environments. It also covers the service scenario of EDS, a convergence service for multiple service provider environments in NGN. Multiple provider environments stimulates the unified identifier management, namely ubiquitous identification (U-ID), to enable users to be provided convergence services without awareness of multiple provides. Then the designed structure and procedures of U-ID based EDS are given. Finally, the implementation results tested on Korea Advanced Research Network (KOREN) are described.
The purpose of this study is to identify the job satisfaction and organization commitment of employees according to the school food service environments. The questionnaire to measure was completed by 150 employees in the Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The demographic data showed that 48.7% of respondents were in their fifties and most of them were females(96.6%). They were employed in the middle and high schools. The results were as follows : Frist, factors that influenced job satisfaction were student preference and rule-observance. Second, the importance of school food service environments didn't influence the compensation factor for job satisfaction. Third, factors that influenced job satisfaction among school food service environments were kindliness and the management of employees and rule-observance. Rule-observance showed the highest satisfaction scores among the rest of them. Forth, it was concluded that the management of employees, food quality and student preference influenced the organization commitment of food service employees. The research results show that rule-observance of food service environments and the importance of managing employees have influence on co-worker relations, job and organization commitment.
The objective of this investigation was to separate silicon and silica for recycling by the liquid-liquid separation technique. In the preparation of silicon (Si) single crystal, a small amount of silicon is fixed on the surface of silica (quartz, $SiO_2$) crucible. The used crucible is crushed for recycling both silicon and silica in a high purity from the mixed powder. Zeta-potential of silicon and silica are almost the same at pH higher than 3. Their separation by simple flotation is ruled out. However, their hydrophobic characteristics are different in several different organic solvent from the measurement of contact angle. Therefore, the liquid-liquid extraction is employed to separate silicon and silica. The result indicates that the organic solvent mixed with dodecyl ammonium acetate could extracted the silicon powder at high purity (97-100%) with high recovery from the silica powder in the water phase.

Biotyping of Vibrio vulnificus strains isolated from marine environments along the south coast of Korea showed that the majority of the isolates (94.7%) belonged to biotype 1 and the remaining isolates (5.3%) belonged to biotype 2. Analysis of 16S rRNA V. vulnificus strains isolated from marine environments using a multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) revealed that 78.7% were type A and 21.3% were type B. Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) was used to analyze the genomic differences in V. vulnificus among the biotype 2 strains isolated from marine environments (newly isolated strains group) and reference strains obtained from infected eels (reference strains group). The two groups had distinctly different profiles of the amplicons produced from RAPD. Additionally, biochemical comparison of these strains revealed that all four strains isolated from marine environments differed from the strains isolated from eels in their ability to promote D-mannitol fermentation. Two (NH 1 and NH 2) out of four isolates of biotype 2 from marine environments showed pathogenicity in eels Anguilla japonica in a challenge test. These isolates did not agglutinate with antisera against V. vulnificus NCIMB 2137 (serovar E), ATCC 27562 (non-serovar E), and ATCC 33816 (atypical serovar E).

Cloud computing technologies are utilized and merged in various domains. Cloud computing technology-based personal cloud service technologies provide mobility and free access by using user centered storages and smart devices such like smart phones and table PCs. Therefore, we should overcome limits on the storage by solving the capacity problems of devices to provide security services in the personal cloud environments It can be addressable to provide the convenience of various security technologies. However, there are some security threats inherited from existing cloud environments and the possibilities of information leakage when devices are lost or stolen. Therefore, we designed a framework for providing secure cloud services by adding objects, such as user authorization, access tokens, set permissions by key generation, and key management assignments, for user management in personal cloud environments. We analyzed the stability of the proposed framework in terms of irreverent use and abuse, access to insiders, and data loss or leakage. And we evaluated the proposed framework in terms of the security with access control requirements in personal cloud environments.
Urban forests provide great ecosystem services to population in metropolitan areas even though they occupy little green space in a huge gray landscape. Unfortunately, urbanization inherently results in threatening the green infrastructure, and the recent urbanization trends drew great attention of scientists and policy makers on how to preserve or restore green infrastructure in metropolitan area. For this reason, mapping the spatial distribution of the green infrastructure is important in urban environments since the resulting map helps us identify hot green spots and set up long term plan on how to preserve or restore green infrastructure in urban environments. As a preliminary step for mapping green infrastructure utilizing multi-source remote sensing data in urban environments, the objective of this study is to map vegetation volume by fusing LiDAR and multispectral data in urban environments. Multispectral imageries are used to identify the two dimensional distribution of green infrastructure, while LiDAR data are utilized to characterize the vertical structure of the identified green structure. Vegetation volume was calculated over the metropolitan Chicago city area, and the vegetation volume was summarized over 16 NLCD classes. The experimental results indicated that vegetation volume varies greatly even in the same land cover class, and traditional land cover map based above ground biomass estimation approach may introduce bias in the estimation results.

Distinguished with traditional strategies which offload an application's computation to a single server, parallel computation offloading can promote the performance by simultaneously delivering the computation to multiple computing resources around the mobile terminal. However, due to the variability of communication and computation environments, static application component multi-partitioning algorithms are difficult to maintain the optimality of their solutions in time-varying scenarios, whereas, over-frequent algorithm executions triggered by changes of environments may bring excessive algorithm costs. To this end, an adaptive application component mapping algorithm for parallel computation offloading in variable environments is proposed in this paper, which aims at minimizing computation costs and inter-resource communication costs. It can provide the terminal a suitable solution for the current environment with a low incremental algorithm cost. We represent the application component multi-partitioning problem as a graph mapping model, then convert it into a pathfinding problem. A genetic algorithm enhanced by an elite-based immigrants mechanism is designed to obtain the solution adaptively, which can dynamically adjust the precision of the solution and boost the searching speed as transmission and processing speeds change. Simulation results demonstrate that our algorithm can promote the performance efficiently, and it is superior to the traditional approaches under variable environments to a large extent.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the priority order in the factors influencing college choice of students who are majoring in culinary art in Chungcheong-do. For the study, we set the decision-making factors of upper hierarchies and nineteen bottom hierarchies based on the literature review and employed the analytical hierarchical process(AHP). As a result, the first considering factor among 4 upper hierarchies for college choice was the educational environments of the department(0.378). The next came in the order named as follows: college and university grade(0.263), the educational environments of colleges or universities(0.244), recommendation(0.115). The first considering factor among the educational environments of the department was the aptitude for the major(0.323). The first considering factor in college and university grade was the entrance competitive rate(0.397). The first considering factors among the educational environments of the colleges or universities were scholarships and tuition fees(0.325). The first considering factor in recommendation was the recommendation of a high school teacher(0.295). This results of this study will contribute to the development of colleges and universities under the turbulent changes of educational environments.
Reinforcement learning is a learning method that uses trial-and-error to perform Learning by interacting with dynamic environments. It is classified into online reinforcement learning and delayed reinforcement learning. In this paper, we propose an online reinforcement learning system (ONRELS : Outline REinforcement Learning System). ONRELS updates the estimate-value about all the selectable (state, action) pairs before making state-transition at the current state. The ONRELS learns by interacting with the compressed environments through trial-and-error after it compresses the state space of the mage environments. Through experiments, we can see that ONRELS can search the shortest path faster than Q-learning using TD-ewor and $Q(\lambda{)}$-learning using $TD(\lambda{)}$ in the maze environments.
