  • The paper analyzed on the level of consumer member's awareness to green marketing strategies (4P's; product, price, place and promotion strategies) of Hansalim specialty shops for environmentally friendly agri-products. For the study, Hansalim-Cheonanasan members had been surveyed. Consumers purchase environmentally friendly agri-products because quality and freshness of those is good. The difference in amount of the average monthly purchase between loyal customers and disloyal customers is about 130,000 won. And customer's awareness is that the first is promotion strategy, the second product strategy, the third place strategy, the last price strategy. The average monthly purchase is related with product strategy in correlations between the 4P's each other. If Hansalim maintains a product strategy, promotes extensively and keeps their product standard, more consumers will purchase Hansalim products because the most important one of effect of green marketing strategies on consumer behavior is products. Hansalim needs to go into action to increase recognition. Some of consumers have misconcepts or don't know about the 4P's well. If Hansalim promotes positively considering interrelationship about 4P's strategies or other strategies, the consumers awareness will be changed more effectively. This study shows that balanced 4P's is better than only one superior strategy because of the correlation amomg green marketing strategies.

  • The objective of the study is to investigate factors affecting consumers' purchase intention toward imported organic agricultural products. To accomplish the goal of the study a consumer survey was administered for randomly selected households residing in capital area. Results show that the more consumers trust a safety of domestic products and a certification system, the less they purchase the imported products. In addition, it is demonstrated that educated consumers are relatively less reluctant to imported organic agricultural products. Finally, an improvement of domestic certification system, decrease of price of environmentally friendly agricultural products, and aggressive promotion are required to enhance the competitiveness of the domestic environmentally friendly agricultural products.

  • Governance systems are basically an autonomous cooperation type among the government, civil society and market, also a new paradigm for efficient and democratic administration of policies. The governance mainly consists of the central operating body, institutions, operating principles and so on. The constituents are the nation(government), civil society(NGO) and market(firm). Institutional conditions are a legitimate base, financial stability and independency. And as a operating principle, governance systems have common goals and issues from a national and social point of view. This governance has been recently emerged due to financial risk of government, diffusion of new liberalism going with the globalization, localization-decentralization, and development of civil society and information-oriented society. We have to grope fur the framework of participatory agri- policy confronting globalization and localization as well as developing our agriculture and rural village. This agri-policy governance should be theoretically focused on policy network or self-organizing network or multi-lateral governance (MLG) based on NPM. Also, it is proper to have connection of nation-central type and civil society-central type. And it is necessary to have a MLG type with local governance corresponding to localization and decentralization. Governance should have the type whose participants have authority and responsibility as well. Basic directions of environmentally friendly agri-policy governance are as follows : first, its purposes are constructing the democratic and efficient framework of participatory environmentally friendly agri-policy based on consensus of all the related groups, embodying environmentally friendly agri-policy adjusted to local field, raising farmer's real interest, and improving their position. Second, its form should have a council or an agreement system, not an advisory or a consultation organ. Thus, public sector(eg. government) and voluntary sector(eg. farmers' organization) jointly execute agricultural policy and are responsible together. Environmentally friendly agri-policy governance is mainly made up of farmers' organization, cooperative and civil society(NGO). And secondary bodies are agribusinesses and academic groups. Government interacts with the main bodies on administrative execution. And environmentally friendly agri-policy governance has MLG type with a central unit, province and county units. Environmentally friendly agri-policy governance has several main functions such as agri-policy partnership, speaking for farmer's rights and interests, investigation and research on domestic and foreign agricultural streams, and etc. Especially, local unit will play roles in activation for regional agriculture, consulting on technique and management, education and training services, services entrusted by government, and so on.

  • This study aimed to provide information on the biodiversity of various arthropods living in paddy fields during the winter season by examining their incidence density. Insect collection was carried out by 50 × 50 cm grids of soil surface and plants from paddy fields, as well as from ridges between paddies, using a battery-powered aspirator. The total number of individuals collected from paddy fields and inter-paddy ridges was 41,197, most of belonged to the orders Collembola, Hemiptera, and Diptera. Arthropods showed similar appearance patterns in fields under both organic and conventional farming. However, a higher number of insects was collected in organic farms. The species diversity, species richness, and species evenness were all greater in inter-paddy ridges than in paddy fields, in a statistically significant manner (P < 0.05).

  • This case study surveyed management situations of environmentally friendly farming(EFF) producers' organization and their main activities. Farmers are aging as an average age of 55-year old and producing fruit-bearing vegetables. The EFF did not increase farmer's income, however, price and income was stabilized more than that of conventional farming because of contract farming. Farm household liabilities are caused by purchasing agricultural machinery, materials and so on. Farmers of EFF have been also cultivating conventional farming, but they don't plan much conversion intention of conventional farming into EFF owing to lack of differentiated and stable market for their EFF products. And they are guessing that EFF income will increase a little. For increasing of EFF income, they think that it is necessary to reduce production cost, produce high quality production, develop processing foods, enlarge contract farming and so on.
