In accordance with the fast changing circumstance, universities are now reaching, beyond the education place of simple delivery of knowledge and exchange of information, to a place of developing a specialty program related with the region and industry to achieve a competitive edge in education. Through these academic-industrial collaboration program, special knowledge and human resources in the university are utilized in the society and it may contribute to the development of industry and breed of career people based upon the real job site can be achieved. In addition, through the practical operation of such developed program, university may contribute to the enhancement of the competitiveness of the corporation to the activation and acceleration of the regional economy and finally to the enhancement of competitiveness of national industry in international level. This study tries to develop 3 technical instruction and support program related with the legion and industry which may conform to the ideals of university and its goal of education and can provide a platform for the education that is closely related with the regional industry and real job site iud may cope actively with the upcoming knowledge society and fast changing regional circumstances. This study will make research and analyze needs of design support from the industry in order to develop a academic-industrial cooperative design support program for the furniture industry which conforms to the regional characteristic and feature and develop and present contents of program in three area of development of furniture design technology, build-up of furniture design information system and establishment of order based education system. The proposed program is supposed to be operated practically and effectively and contribute to the development of new product, to enhancement of company image and finally to the maximization of corporate profit. Also this study is epected to be used as an important material for establishment of order-based education system which confirms to the job site needs that may be analysed from feedback of product results and for practical learning.

In the Busan North port redevelopment project, which is the first large scale port redevelopment project in this country, it adopted the national landscape plan for competitiveness of port city. Furthermore, it includes many efforts on landscape formation in the process of improvement of ocean city image and enhancement of its value, which fits for the situation and characteristics of the original nature, history, and culture resources, together with all facilities, structures, symbols, and eco green belt. Firstly this study attempted to analyze the characteristics of Busan landscape, Busan city design plan(2010), especially coloring plan, together with the case study of landscape color plan for foreign countries. From the basis of this analysis, it was proposed a landscape enhancement strategy in the Busan North port redevelopment project through the coloring plan and it is expected that the result would be used for the basic data for other redevelopment project.

Smart tourism aims to maximize the utilization of local tourism resources, effectively manages cities and contributes to improving communication and quality of life between tourists and residents. Therefore, smart tourism emphasizes synergistic collaboration, considering both residents and tourists. This study explores smart tourism interaction and roles in enhancing regional competitiveness. By conducting thorough examination, focusing on integrating the four key elements of smart tourism city (smart experience, smart convenience, smart accessibility, and smart platform) with local residents, local businesses, regional resources, and ecosystem to foster positive synergies, Incheon smart tourism city project was employed as a single case study design. Research results indicate that the collaborative model of a smart tourism city positively impacts service satisfaction and strengthens regional tourism competitiveness. Building upon these results, this study aims to contribute to the development of smart tourism cities by proposing directions for future development and emphasizing the enhancement of regional competitiveness through the integration of smart technology and local tourism.

This paper examines the change of innovation practices in the Korean industry which is entering into the 'post catching-up regime'. In catching-up regime, the technological loaming practices of Korean firms could be characterized as the assimilation and improvement of foreign technologies through crisis construction and time pressure. Crisis construction and time pressure were the important factors enhancing the intensity of technological teaming and shaping the way of doing imitative innovation. But the innovation patterns of firm are changing. The new ways of doing innovation are emerging in Korean mobile phone industry which is becoming a world leader： the emphasis on the importance of technological planning, the enhancement of collaborative networks among related firms, the toleration on the failure and the effort to acquire core technologies. Though Korean firms have not developed enough capabilities to create basic core technologies, they can develop their competitiveness through creative combination of technologies and are approaching the world frontier.

Since 100PPM Quality Certification System has been established by the Industrial Advancement Administration in 1995, 100PPM Quality Innovation Movement has contributed much to the enhancement of quality competitiveness of Korea's parts industry. And in 2000, raised to a higher level, Single PPM Quality Certification System has been established by the Small and Medium Business Administration. Single PPM Quality Innovation Movement seeks to reduce the number of defects to below 10, out of one million industrial items produced. Ultimately, Single PPM Quality Innovation Movement aims at achieving perfection, by enabling a zero defect rate In industrial production through the participation of all members of an organization. So this study aims to show the tangible and intangible effects of Single PPM Quality Certification System. and to suggest a methodology to improve current problems of Single PPM Quality Innovation Movement.

This study is designed to provide a facilitation program of the railroad tourist business that the bicycle is connected with the railroad. The sustainable growth will be achieved thorough the green growth being able to coexist with environment. To deal with the transportation problems -the environmental pollution caused by a large number of cars and the energy depletion, the traffic congestion- in our society is the prerequisites for the green growth. There is the need focusing on the expansion of the green network and the policy implementation of utilizing the bicycle, the formulation of the social consensus for environmental preservation. This provides the opportunity that we create the customer values and reinforce the firm's competitiveness. This study is to propose the plan for accelerating the tourism business connected to the bicycle, and to contribute to the government policy, to boost the green image of the railroad. Approaching in the strategic way to increase the customer's value and environmental preservation, this study will contribute to providing high quality customer service for both of the business performance and the customer satisfaction.

The objective of the study is to investigate factors affecting consumers' purchase intention toward imported organic agricultural products. To accomplish the goal of the study a consumer survey was administered for randomly selected households residing in capital area. Results show that the more consumers trust a safety of domestic products and a certification system, the less they purchase the imported products. In addition, it is demonstrated that educated consumers are relatively less reluctant to imported organic agricultural products. Finally, an improvement of domestic certification system, decrease of price of environmentally friendly agricultural products, and aggressive promotion are required to enhance the competitiveness of the domestic environmentally friendly agricultural products.

First, the purpose of this research is to review the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) regulations in Korea to resolve disputes which can arise in international e-commerce in the near future. Second, this research tries to look for alternative solutions to dispute resolutions according to these regulations. Third, this research pursues to enhance the effectiveness of business deals by providing efficient and satisfactory dispute resolution methods for e-commerce business. Furthermore, this study evaluates the definition of global e-commerce by comparing Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) with Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Through analyzing the domestic ODR system and ADR system, this research could boost the employment of settlements in small-sized disputes through easy and convenient consumer access to both ODR and ADR procedures. The enhancement of the competitiveness of Korean companies in the global market is estimated to take place as a result. This research is estimated to provide benefits to our businesses both domestically and internationally by using ODR regulations and ADR methods. Moreover, this research is anticipated to verify usefulness in terms of consumer protection by advancing consumers' access to dispute solution authorities locally and abroad.

Continuous development of construction industry and enhancement of its global competitiveness must be supported by research and development(R&D) for new technology. However, the R&D investment in Korean construction industry is lower than those in other industries. The R&D investment by Korean government is also insufficient comparing with other governments. This paper investigates the R&D investment status in Korean construction industry and reviews the outcomes of the R&D in relation with construction new technology and patent. Based on the investigations of the present status, new direction of the construction R&D is suggested.
