음성 에너지계산에서 창함수-길이 변화영향의 개선에 관한 연구 (On Improving the Effects of Varying the Window Length on Speech Energy Computation)

  • 음성신호의 전처리과정에서 에너지 퍼래미터는 음소의 변화특성을 나타내기 때문에 많이 사용하고 있다. 그렇지만 추출과정에서 창함수를 적용하기 때문에 창함수길이에 따른 영향을 받게된다. 본논문에서는 창함수길이에 따른 영향을 측정하고 그 영향을 최소화시키는 에너지추출법을 새로이 제안하였다. 이방법으로 추출된 에너지변화도는 창함수길이의 영향을 제거시켰기 때문에 음소의 변화특성을 잘나타낸다. 또한 계산시간은 샘플당 한번의 뺄셈과 덧셈, 그리고 두 번의 비교연산만 있으면 된다.

  • Tidal current power system is one of ocean renewable energies that can minimize the environmental impact with many advantages compared to other energy sources. Not like others, the produced energy can be precisely predicted without weather conditions and also the operation rate is very high. To convert the current into power, the first device encountered to the incoming flow is the rotor that can transform into rotational energy. The performance of rotor can be determined by various design parameters including numbers of blade, sectional shape, diameter, and etc. The stream lines near the rotating rotor is very complex and the interference effects around the system is also difficult to predict. This paper introduces the experiment of rotor performance and also the effect of design parameter on the performance of HAT rotor by CFD.

Relationship between Conformational Preferences and Torsional Parameters in Molecular Mechanics (MM3) Calculations

  • We have investigated a relationship between conformational preferences of various substituents in monosubstituted cyclohexanes and pertinent torsional parameter values in molecular mechanics calculations. We have manipulated torsional parameters to supply a certain energy difference between gauche and anti conformers, and applied those parameters to monosubstituted cyclohexanes. After investigating 6 different substituents, namely Me, SiH3, F, Cl, Br, and I, MM3 calculations show that (1) the MM3 calculated A values with the current torsional parameters reproduce the available experimental values well, (2) the conformational energy difference between axial and equatorial conformations (the A value) correlates perfectly with the gauche/anti energy differences of the corresponding butane-like fragment (correlation coefficient=l.000), and (3) the A values are essentially twice as the gauche/anti energy differences (slopes=1.86-2.00). On the basis of our analysis, the A values as well as the gauche/anti energy differences are easily calibrated by an adjustment of the relevant torsional parameter. Thus, our technique for tuning the torsional parameters may be of great use in updating molecular mechanics results about conformational preferences whenever a further refinement is necessary.

Approximate Method in Estimating Sensitivity Responses to Variations in Delayed Neutron Energy Spectra

  • Previous our numerical results in computing point kinetics equations show a possibility in developing approximations to estimate sensitivity responses of nuclear reactor We recalculate sensitivity responses by maintaining the corrections with first order of sensitivity parameter. We present a method for computing sensitivity responses of nuclear reactor based on an approximation derived from point kinetics equations. Exploiting this approximation, we found that the first order approximation works to estimate variations in the time to reach peak power because of their linear dependence on a sensitivity parameter, and that there are errors in estimating the peak power in the first order approximation for larger sensitivity parameters. To confirm legitimacy of our approximation, these approximate results are compared with exact results obtained from our previous numerical study.

원전의 항공기 충돌 리스크 평가를 위한 대표매개변수 선정 연구 (A Study on the Determination of Reference Parameter for Aircraft Impact Induced Risk Assessment of Nuclear Power Plant)

  • 원전의 항공기 충돌 리스크 평가에 사용되는 대표매개변수를 선정하기 위한 방법론을 개발하였다. 대상 원전은 국내의 대표적인 경수로형 원전 중 하나로 선정하여 3차원 유한요소 해석 모델을 구축하였다. 콘크리트 재료모델에는 소성손상모델이 적용되었으며, 강재는 다중선형곡선거동을 가지는 것으로 모델링하였다. 운동에너지, 전체 충격량, 최대 충격량, 최대 하중등 4종의 대표매개변수 후보군을 선정하였다. 각각의 매개변수 후보군은 모두 충돌 속도와 질량의 함수로 표현되므로, 충돌속도 50~200m/s, 항공유량 30~90%의 범위에 대하여 매개변수값을 도출하고 충돌 해석을 수행하여, 충돌 시의 구조 응답과의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 모든 해석에서 항공기의 기종은 보잉767 기종으로 선정하였다. 충돌해석에는 Riera의 하중-시간 이력 함수를 이용한 해석기법을 적용하였다. 매개변수와 충돌 시 응답의 상관관계 적합성은 결정계수값을 이용하여 분석하였다. 4 종의 대표매개변수 후보군 중 최대 하중값이 가장 직관적일 뿐만 아니라 본 연구에서의 해석 케이스에서는 응답과의 상관성도 가장 뛰어난 것으로 나타남에 따라, 항공기충돌 리스크 평가를 위하여 가장 적합한 매개변수라 할 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

Gas detonation cell width prediction model based on support vector regression

  • Detonation cell width is an important parameter in hydrogen explosion assessments. The experimental data on gas detonation are statistically analyzed to establish a universal method to numerically predict detonation cell widths. It is commonly understood that detonation cell width, ${\lambda}$, is highly correlated with the characteristic reaction zone width, ${\delta}$. Classical parametric regression methods were widely applied in earlier research to build an explicit semiempirical correlation for the ratio of ${\lambda}/{\delta}$. The obtained correlations formulate the dependency of the ratio ${\lambda}/{\delta}$ on a dimensionless effective chemical activation energy and a dimensionless temperature of the gas mixture. In this paper, support vector regression (SVR), which is based on nonparametric machine learning, is applied to achieve functions with better fitness to experimental data and more accurate predictions. Furthermore, a third parameter, dimensionless pressure, is considered as an additional independent variable. It is found that three-parameter SVR can significantly improve the performance of the fitting function. Meanwhile, SVR also provides better adaptability and the model functions can be easily renewed when experimental database is updated or new regression parameters are considered.

MCS-BEq에 의한 CH4기체에서 전자에너지 분포함수 (Electron Energy Distribution function in CH4 by MCS-BEq)

  • This paper describes the information for quantitative simulation of weakly ionized plasma. We must grasp the meaning of the plasma state condition to utilize engineering application and to understand materials of plasma state. Using quantitative simulations of weakly ionized plasma, we can analyze gas characteristic. In this paper, the electron transport characteristic in $CH_4$ has been analysed over the E/N range 0.1~300[Td], at the 300[$_{\circ}\;K$] by the two term approximation Boltzmann equation method and Monte Carlo Simulation. Boltzmann equation method has also been used to predict swarm parameter using the same cross sections as input. The behavior of electron has been calculated to give swarm parameter for the electron energy distribution function has been analysed in $CH_4$ at E/N=10, 100 for a case of the equilibrium region in the mean energy. A set of electron collision cross section has been assembled and used in Monte Carlo simulation to predict values of swarm parameters. The result of Boltzmann equation and Monte Carlo Simulation has been compared with experimental data by Ohmori, Lucas and Carter. The swarm parameter from the swarm study are expected to sever as a critical test of current theories of low energy scattering by atoms and molecules.

잡음환경에서 Teager Energy 기반의 전역 음성부재확률을 이용하는 음성검출 (Voice Activity Detection Using Global Speech Absence Probability Based on Teager Energy in Noisy Environments)

  • 본 논문에서는 잡음환경에서 효과적인 음성을 검출하기 위한 새로운 음성 검출 (VAD, voice activity detection) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 통계적 모델에 기반의 Likelihood ratio (LR)를 통하여 도출되는 전역 음성부재확률 (GSAP, global speech absence probability)은 음성검출을 위한 피쳐 (feature) 파라미터로 널리 적용되고 있다. 하지만 신호 대 잡음 비 (SNR, signal-to-noise ratio)가 낮은 잡음환경에서는 정확한 GSAP 추정이 어려운 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 제안된 방법에서는 잡음환경에서 강인한 VAD 알고리즘을 위하여 Teager energy (TE) 기반의 GSAP를 피쳐 파라미터로 적용한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 기존의 방법과 객관적인 실험을 통해 비교 평가한 결과 다양한 배경잡음 환경에서 향상된 성능을 보였다.

밀링공구의 마모 감시에 관한 연구 (A Study on the monitoring of tool wear in face milling operation)

  • In order to monitor the tool wear in milling operation, cutting force is measured as the tool wear increased. The digital signal processing methods are used to detect the tool wear . As AR parameter extract the feature of tool wear , it can be used as input parameter of pattern classifier. The FFT monitor the tool wear exactly , but it can not do real time signal processing. The band energy method can be used to real time monitoring of tool wear ,but int can degrade the exact monitoring.
