This study applied a cox proportional hazard model for analysis, using data of the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disable from the first to fifth years. The purpose of the study is to make a policy suggestion necessary for the support of employment for the disabled, by analyzing important factors affecting employment of the unemployed disabled according to the unemployment period. Results of the analysis were: a model that considered all the sociodemographic, obstructive and social environmental factors was verified; the higher subjective SES of the disabled, the higher employment rate of the unemployed disabled; compared to the severely disabled, the slightly disabled had more advantages for employment; and relatively the lower unearned income, the higher employment rate. This study suggested based on these results limitations and implications of the study.
The purpose of this study was to analyze how much demographic and disability-related characteristics influence the quality of life that employed and unemployed disabled people, and determine difference in the influence of those factors between the two disabled groups. For this purpose, the study utilized 1st-year(2016) data from the 2nd wave of the Korean Panel Study on Employment for the Disabled. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows. First, employment is a critical factor that influences the disabled's quality of life. Besides, there are some financial, socio-relational and physical factors on which that quality is heavily dependent. Second, employed disabled people's quality of life is even more influenced by financial factors, socio-relational factors and health state than demographic factors. Third, unemployed disabled people's quality of life is significantly influenced by some demographic factors like gender and age and some physical factors like disability grade and disability period as well as by factors found influencing employed disabled people's quality of life. Thus, the two disabled groups are different from each other in which factors influence their quality of life. Based on these findings, this study made suggestions for the disabled's better quality of life.
This study was to identify major determinants on the reemployment of disabled women. The researcher performed a logistic multiple regression analysis of raw data from Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled(PSED) from 2008(1st) to 2014(7th). The analysis focused on 744 disabled women in reemployed and unemployed status. The study results showed that recipient status of the National Basic Livelihood Security System, the extent of disability, physical health condition, certification status, and the experience of previous employment were positively related with reemployment of disabled women. That is to say, disabled women have a higher tendency to be reemployed under the following circumstances: no recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security System, minor disabilities, good health condition, possession of certification, and previous experience of employment. On the basis of study findings, implications were discussed such as a phase-in of health promotion policy to improve their health status, tailored job training programs, and development of various jobs in current labour market.
This study investigates paths among factors influencing family relationship satisfaction of person with disability using path analysis and the 11th panel data of KoWePS(Korean Welfare Panel Study). While key independent variables include employment status, assets and depression are mediators. The result of this study are as follows: First, employment status, assets, and depression are found to have direct effect on family relationship satisfaction. Second, assets are found to have direct effect on depression. Third, we found full mediating effect of assets between employment status and depression. Fourth, we found not full but partial mediating effect of depression between assets and family relationship satisfaction. Finally, we found multiple partial mediating effects of employment status and family relationship satisfaction. The findings proposed that economic education as well as asset management targeting the disabled are required and very helpful to support their family relationship satisfaction. Based on the results of this study, we need to think about the disabled-oriented asset-building programs. This study investigates paths among factors influencing family relationship satisfaction of person with disability using path analysis and the 11th panel data of KoWePS(Korean Welfare Panel Study). Objective : The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship with employment of the disabled considering the severity and the type of disability. Methods : Data from the 4th data of the 2nd wave Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED) by Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities (KEAD) were used. The odds ratio of employment in disability types according to severity of disability was calculated by logistic regression analysis. Results : When the related variables were adjusted, the employment of internal disability type was significantly lower than that of external disability type by 0.413(95% CI:0.271-0.629) times in the group with severe disability. On the other hand, in the group with less severe disability, internal disability was 0.475(95% CI:0.327-0.690) times lower than that of external disability (p=<.001). Conclusions : Employment may vary depending on the type of disability, even if the disability severity level is the same. It is necessary to prepare judgment criteria that can reduce the variation in employment by considering both the type and severity of the disability.
This study aimed to provide important information on vocational education and employment policy for the disabled by analyzing the relationship between disabled wage workers' occupational ability and job quality. For this purpose, the relationship between job competence and employment quality was theoretically examined and empirically analyzed based on human capital theory, screening theory, and job competition theory. The empirical analysis used data on 975 disabled wage workers with the use of the data of the 8th Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled(2015). As a result of the empirical study, it was found that the occupational ability of the disabled workers is an important factor in determining Wage, job status, job satisfaction, which constitute the quality of employment. This result indicates that job quality can be improved by ameliorating disabled people's occupational ability. Accordingly, this study proposed that there might be a need to extend customized education and educational facilities for improving disabled people's occupational ability.

This study tells that factors which affects the re-employment of the persons with disabilities are gender, education, chronic disease status, and the help of others in daily life status, employment discrimination experience, and the type of employment. From the gender perspective, whereas men are in favor of re-employment in the clerical work, women are in favor of re-employment if they don't have a spouse or receive employment services. The purpose of this paper is to design and implement a Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) system for Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED) using Blaise software developed by Statistics Netherlands which is a powerful and flexible system used for computer-assisted survey processing. CAPI system for PSED is consisted of three parts, which are survey management program, electronic questionnaire program, and postprocessing program. These programs are constructed with modular approach and are integrated into CAPI system. The developed software is highlighted in its reusability which results in the improved efficiency and reduced cost of software maintenance. CAPI system for PSED proved its effectiveness in carrying out the survey by guaranteeing correctness of survey data, improved timeliness of survey, easy reforming the questionnaires, easy control on the interviewers, and rapid data processing in spite of the complexity of PSED.
