This study uses the 1999-2009 Korean Time Use Survey to explore how mothers' employment affects parental time spent in activities that may relate to their children's weight. Specifically, it estimates two-part regression models to assess the effects of maternal employment upon the amount of time mothers spend in activities potentially related to their preschool children's eating and physical activity. The findings suggest that working mothers and those mothers who work longer hours allocate significantly less time in food preparation, eating with the child, and supervising the child's physical activity than mothers who are not employed and those who work fewer hours. The paper also finds that spouses of working mothers do not allocate more time to these activities to offset the reduction in mothers' time. Also, using local unemployment rates as instrumental variables, maternal employment is found to allow mothers to spend significantly more time on food preparation and family meals, although its effect on mothers' total childcare time is negative. Several aspects of Korean society may have made the relationship between maternal employment and childhood weight issues different from what was found in other countries.
While the survival rate of preterm infants and employment rates of mothers with infants have been dramatically increasing, little is known about the impact of maternal employment and having premature infants on maternal health recovery after delivery. The purpose of this longitudinal study was to examine differences in postpartum health by mother's employment and infant's prematurity over time during the first 3 months postpartum. The study used a longitudinal design and was secondary data analysis from a large study. A convenience sample of 132 mothers was recruited with mothers who had fullterm or preterm infants through the postpartum unit. They were followed up for 3 times (at 1-2 days, 6 weeks, and 3 months) during the first 3 months postpartum period. Level of fatigue and hysical symptoms were indicators for postpartum physical health; Positive affect and negative affect were assessed for postpartum mental health, and role functional status after childbirth was for role performance. Finding indicated that health indicators changed significantly over time but there was no main or interaction effect for maternal employment status. There were main effects of infant's prematurity on positive affect, negative affect, and role functional status (self-care and social and community activities). This study enhanced the understanding of postpartum health of mothers with preterm infants as well as those with fullterm infants during the postpartum period.
Purpose: This study aims to investigate the effect of employment of elderly over 65 years on elderly depression using the "Nation Elderly Survey 2014". Methods: The subjects were 10,451 elderly aged 65 or older who were selected from 16 cities and provinces via multilevel stratified sampling method. In an effort to represent well the nation's elderly population, composite sample analysis method was used for the study, and a hierarchical logistic regression analysis was performed to identify those factors affecting the depression among the elderly population. Results: The factors affecting the depression were education level, household income, Perceived health status, smoking, drinking, physical activity, body mass index and employment status. It was found that the unemployed persons were 1.68 times more likely to be depressed than those who remain employed. Conclusion: Where the average life expectancy is getting longer and the poverty rate of elderly is high, employment activities of the elderly are of great significance in terms of ensuring economic stability as well as in lowering medical expenses through reduction of depression. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the employment rates of the elderly for economic, social and healthcare perspectives.
The objective of this study was examine sick leave rates of hospital employees. The sick leave data of 2,123 employees in three(3) general hospitals located in Seoul during the period from January 1, 1992 to December 31, 1992 was analyzed to achieve the study objective. The sick leave rates were computed in compliance with the standards recommended by the International Association on Occupational Health. Univariate analysis methods($X^2$-test and ANOVA) were used to assess the sourse of variance in the rates. The results were as follows : 1. The total annual rates of sick leave were 4.8% in frequency(persons), 0.23% in lost time, 0.68 days in duration and 14.0 days in severity. 2. The sick leave rates of frequency(person). duration and lost time were significantly higher in female than male, in groups of 40-49 years than in the other age group, the married than the unmarried and in the long employment of 8 years or above than the short employment. But there was no significant difference in the rate of severity. Only the sick leave rate of frequency(person) was significantly related to the educatial status, but there was no significant difference in other analytical factors of sick leave rate. 3. The main causes of sick leave were injury and poisoning(24.3%), and disease of the digestive system, disease of the nervous system and sense organs, and complications of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium(respectively 11.6%). The severity rate was the highest in neoplasms(32.2 days), and followed by endocrine, nutritional and metabolic disease and immunity disorders, injury and poisoning, and infections and parasitic disease in descending order. 4. The sick leave rates of frequency(person), duration and lost time were the highest in nutritional workers followed by registered nurses. However, severity rate was the highest in doctors and pharmacists and followed by in nutritional works. 5. The main cause of sick leave was complication of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium in registered nurses(26.3%), injury and poisoning in nutritional workers(78.6%) and disease of respiratory system and digestive system in other workers.
The excessive demand for universities in metropolitan areas as a result of location premiums and regulated admissions quotas diminishes the competition between universities and the incentive to enhance educational performance to attract more students. Cases in point are the lower graduate employment rates (a measure of educational performance) of universities in metropolitan areas compared to those in non-metropolitan areas despite higher quality students. Additionally, the graduate employment rates of non-metropolitan universities are influenced by educational input factors such as an increase in the percentage of courses taught by full-time faculty, while those of metropolitan universities are contingent merely on enrollees' entrance scores. Ergo, a structure that revitalizes the competition between universities and encourages them to improve their educational services must be established in order to enhance the quality of higher education.
Purpose - This study empirically analyses the changes in unemployment rates to understand push factors of generating wage pressure and how it affects the aggregate demand in Korea and the United States. We use a structural macroeconomic model which is centered on the labor market and simultaneously explains the natural rate of unemployment and deviations. Research design, data and methodology - We attempt to empirically analyse the unemployment rates through two countries to analyse the economic effects of real wages and aggregate demand between 2000 and 2016. We introduce having estimated the whole model that the growth of unemployment into the part caused by each of these factors. Results - The results of this study show that in the long run, there is not only a natural level of employment but also a natural level of real demand are positively related. in the short run, demand can vary from bring about changes in employment by means of price or wage surprises. Conclusions - The pressure of demand in the labor market shows up strongly in both countries. The estimated labor-demand equation are consistent with this framework and generally have well defined real wage and demand effects.

The mainpoints of General Theory is 1) the mainspring of economic activity is effective demand which can expand or control in relation to supply as a result of spontaneous decision by customer or government. 2) change in effective demand Produce change in output and employment in the same direction 3) which given productivity of labour the Vice level depend on the money supply affect the in downward direction 4) change in the money supply affect the economy through the rates of interest 5) the only automatic mechanism through which the economy can adjust itself to a deficiency of effective demand is the long process which unemployment reduces wage rates and consequently the demand for money and interest rates, above summarized contents are General Theory frame-work. The neo-classical macro general equilibrium theory, which has been reconstructed subsequent to Keyneses critism is treated the neo-classical macro-general equilibrium theory which inherits the classical theories of labour market and the aggregate production function, on demand side, it introduce the Keyneses macro-general equilibrium theory, which function through flexible movement of prices, wage and interest. Nowadays, Keynes General Theory is being developed into new dimension i, e. the macro-disequilibrium theory, and adequacy, and appropriateness of the theory and its significant contributions to modern economics are being reinterpreted and substantiated.

The aim of this study is to forcast the economic impact of Yosu-Kwangyang harbour on the regional employment. Industries in relation to this harbor can be divided into three parts; related industries to harbor(RI), direct dependent industries on harbor(DDI), indirect dependent industries(IDI). Research regions are 4 cities (Yosu, Yochun, Soonchun, Dongkwangyang) and 3 counties (Yochun, Seungju, Kwangyang). In the aspect of employment, the Yosu-Kwangyang harbor produced a good effect in these regions. In 1995, the rates of the dependence on harbor were showed up RI 1.63%, DBI 3.33%, IDI 15.99%, TOTAL 19.95%. In the Suture, the rates may be showed up various results as; in TOTAL rates, 33.59% in 2000, 44.95% in 2005, 48.03% in 2010, 49.82% in 2015.
Analysing the effects of expanded trade liberalization on the domestic labor market such as the flexibility of employment adjustment and the wage elasticity of employment etc. with industry base data, we get some important results as follows. The speed of employment adjustment in whole industries is turned out to be more rapid on the employee basis than on the whole worker basis. And the speed of employment adjustment is more rapid in the industries with high level of import ratio than those with high level of export ratio. In sum, viewing on the employee basis, the expanded trade liberalization makes the speed of employment adjustment slower slightly in individual industry level, and it is led mainly by the effects of export ratio rising. In case of the wage elasticity of employment, it becomes to be much higher as rates of openness or export ratios go higher, so the environment of jobless growth seems to be much more strengthened in this country.

Support policies such as education and training for re-employment of career-interrupted women are being implemented, but they are not being effectively employed. In addition, it is difficult for women with high educational background to re-enter, such as having to revise their previous careers or plan a new career for re-employment. In the previous studies, there was insufficient research to solve fundamental problems for re-employment, such as promising jobs with high employment opportunities. Therefore, when developing a curriculum for women with career interruptions, it was felt the need to select educational occupations that would be helpful in finding employment by age and educational background of the trainees. In this study, data on vocational training education of women with career interruptions were used to analyze the educational occupations with the highest employment rate by age and educational background.
