Qualitative Content Approach: Impact of Organizational Climate on Employee Capability

  • Purpose - The corporate culture's energy is recognized to go through the company and facilitate a new balance to realize success, which means that the culture in an environment of various organizations affects the performance of its employees. The purpose of the current research is to investigate the impact of organizational culture on employee performance. Research design, data, and methodology - The current research conducted a qualitative content analysis. The primary research approach applied by qualitative content analysis is an inductive methodology, and this approach is a type of reasoning that seeks the application of logic, which later helps develop a theory that will guide the future research. Result - Research findings of the present study indicated that five solutions to the problems encountered through the execution of culture are attached to how effective the organizational culture are when workers execute. Thus, culture is realized to boost structure, because the structure of an organization elevates the behavior of the organization. Conclusion - Workers will be aware of both the negative and positive implications of executing culture in the organization. Therefore, organization managers must learn that various employees are vital people in their vicinity, and creating a culture that would make a good rapport with them is vital.

The Relationship Between Despotic Leadership and Employee Outcomes: An Empirical Study from Pakistan

  • Through emotional exhaustion, this study empirically tests followers' behavioral responses to autocratic leaders. The current research focuses on effects caused by despotic leadership on followers' emotional exhaustion, which leads to employee outcomes such as interpersonal deviances and indirect aggression. The association between despotic leadership and results (employee interpersonal deviance and indirect violence) is investigated in this study. In this study, emotional exhaustion is used as a mediator. Furthermore, negative affectivity is used as a moderator between despotic leadership and emotional exhaustion. A time-lagged framework is employed with a sample of 255 respondents. Age, qualification, marital status, gender, grade, type of organization, department, and job experience are among the eight demographical questions in this study. After evaluating the data for normality, correlation analysis was performed, followed by moderation and mediation analysis. The current study explores the link between despotic leadership and emotional exhaustion among followers, arguing that a despotic leader will leave followers exhausted at work. Emotional exhaustion was also linked to interpersonal deviances, such as indirect aggression, in a significant and positive way. Employee outcomes, such as interpersonal deviances and indirect aggressiveness through emotional exhaustion, will be influenced by a despotic leader, according to the findings.

  • The human resources of an enterprise is very important to survive in these days of business environment. This study investigates the influence of four behavioral types in MBTI (Myer-Briggs Type Indicator) and working conditions on organizational effectiveness. Job satisfaction and immersion have been regarded as a key conception of organizational effectiveness. The focus of this study is to investigate the effects of R&D employee's four behavioral types in MBTI and working conditions on organizational effectiveness. The results of this study show that organizational effectiveness is influenced by personality types and working conditions. According to the result, First, about the analysis of differences in job satisfaction, EP (Extraversion Perceiving)-type (3.56) and EJ (Extraversion Judging)-type (3.43) are higher than IJ (Introversion Judging)-type (3.07) and IP (Introversion Perceiving)-type (3.03) of four behavioral types in MBTI. So an enterprise makes various efforts to enhance job satisfaction for IJ (Introversion Judging)-type and IP (Introversion Perceiving)-type. Second, For improving the organizational effectiveness that is job satisfaction and immersion, an enterprise must make favorable working conditions to each four behavioral types in MBTI of R&D employees. In order to improve job satisfaction, the enterprise will provide IJ (Introversion Judging)-type with support for collegiality and IP (Introversion Perceiving)-type with good relationships with superiors. and also the enterprise gives autonomic authority to EJ (Extraversion Judging)-type. Finally, in the case of EP (Extraversion Perceiving)-type, the enterprise must admit failure for efforts. In order to improve job immersion, the enterprise will provide IP (Introversion Perceiving)-type with good relationships with superiors, the vision of company and compensation for creative work. and also the enterprise gives autonomic authority to EJ (Extraversion Judging)-type.

외식업체 빅 블러(Big Blur)현상과 키오스크(Kiosk)도입에 따른 이용고객의 주관성 연구 (A Study on the Subjectivity of Customers Using the Big Blur Phenomenon and Kiosk Introduction)

  • 본 연구는 외식업체 빅 블러 현상과 키오스크 도입에 따른 이용고객의 주관적 인식을 파악하고자 서울지역 외식경영학과 대학원생을 대상으로 Q방법론을 적용하였다. 분석결과, 5가지 유형으로 도출되었다. 구체적으로, 제 1유형(N=6) : 빠른 결재와 다양한 주문 선호 형 (Fast payment and various order preference types), 제 2유형(N=6) : 적립 할인 혜택 선호 형 (Earning discount benefits preference type), 제 3유형(N=3) : 간편 주문 선호 형 (Simple order preference type), 제 4유형(N=2) : 직원 서비스 선호 형 (Employee service preference type), 제 5유형(N=3) : 안전 결재 선호 형 (Safety payment preference type)으로 각 각 독특한 특징의 유형으로 분석되었다. 향후 외식업체 빅 블러 현상에 관한 연구에서는 많은 문헌과 실증연구를 바탕으로 보다 세밀한 Q방법론적인 질문과 분석기법으로 수정 보완하여, 응답자들의 다양한 의견을 보다 구체적이며 객관적으로 분석하고자 한다.

The Occupational Stress According to the Gender, Employee Type, Medical Facility, and the Treatment Field in Physical Therapists

  • 본 연구는 물리치료사의 성별, 고용형태, 의료기관 및 치료분야에 따른 직무스트레스의 차이를 조사하고 비교하고자 실시하였다. 한국인 직무스트레스 측정도구 단축형을 활용하여 직무스트레스를 비교한 결과 직무스트레스는 오직 성별에서만 유의한 차이가 있었고 고용형태, 의료기관 및 치료분야에 따른 직무스트레스는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 한국인 직무스트레스 측정도구 7항목 중에서 직무요구에 대한 점수가 다른 항목에 비해 상대적으로 높게 나타났지만 전체적으로 물리치료사의 직무스트레스는 참고치에 비해 낮은 것으로 조사되었다. 물리치료사들의 적절한 직무스트레스 관리를 위해 적절한 직무요구와 직무환경을 제공하는 것은 직무스트레스를 효과적으로 조절할 수 있는 하나의 방법이 될 수 있다.

과업집단의 특성 및 욕구와 역할반응 사이의 관계에 대한 연구 - 호텔종업원의 개인성격을 중심으로 - (A Study on The Relationship between Task Group Functioning and Role Conflict - The Personality of The Hotel Employee -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze how the task group functioning and need styles have influence on role conflict and role ambiguity as the employee's personality engaged in the service industry such as a hotel. This study uses the hierarchical regression analysis method. Data were collected by the survey method from employees engaged in the service industry such as a hotel located Seoul, the Province of Gyeonggi, and the Province of Gangwon. The study result shows that to the employees in the type A and type X styles, the task group functioning and need styles are not significantly related to the role conflict. But to the employees in the type B style, the task group functioning and need styles are significantly related to the role conflict. And the result shows that to the employees in the type B style, the lower the faith in peers and management, the more the role conflict occur. On the other hand, the study result shows that to the employees in the type A styles, the task group functioning is significantly related to the role ambiguity. And to the employees in the type B style, the higher the faith in peers and management, the more the role ambiguity occur. On the contrary, to the employees in the type X style, need styles are significantly related to the role ambiguity. But to the employees in the type X style, the higher the need for achievement, the more the role ambiguity occur. On the other hand, the study result shows that to the employees in the type B styles, the task group functioning and need styles are significantly related to the role ambiguity. And to the employees in the type B style, the higher the need for achievement, the more the role ambiguity occur or the lower the confidence in peers and management, the more the role ambiguity occur. Although this study provides several managerial implications, this study has some limitations. Specifically data were collected from only the hotel industry in Seoul, the Province of Gyeonggi, and the Province of Gangwon. In spite of the limitations, the study results could be used valuably in case of the personnel managers which manage the employees under the conflict situations.

대학 직무발명 보상금 비과세제도에 대한 제언 (Suggestions for the Non-Taxation Scheme on the Compensation for Employee Invention of the University)

  • 대학으로부터 교직원에게 지급되는 직무발명에 대한 보상금은 어떤 종류의 소득으로 정의되는지에 따라 과세의 대상이 될 수도 있고 비과세의 대상이 될 수도 있다. 정부는 산업교육 진흥 및 산학연협력 촉진에 관한 법률 및 기술의 이전 및 사업화 촉진법을 제정하여 대학에서 생산된 기술을 산업계로 이전하여, 연구생산성을 높이고 산학 간 협력을 증진시키려는 노력을 해 오고 있다. 그러나 정부부처간의 법 해석의 차이로 인해 대학이 교직원들에게 지급하는 직무발명 보상금에 대한 과세의 혼선이 초래되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 이와 관련하여 대학의 직무발명 보상금 비과세제도를 둘러싼 부처 간의 갈등과정을 법해석의 차원에서 고찰하고, 비과세제도의 집행효과를 개인소득세 감면의 차원에서 분석한 후, 이를 근거로 제도의 정착을 위해 정부에 대한 제언을 직무발명 보상금의 제도 개선 차원에서 도출하였다.

지식경영 성과 선행 요인이 조직원 흡수 역량에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of KM Performances' Antecedents on an Eemployee's Absorptive Capacity)

  • 자원 기반적 이론에 따르면, 지식은 빠르게 변화하는 기업 환경에서 기업 효율성을 증진시킬 수 있는 중요한 요소로 간주되고 있다. 이런 맥락에서, 여러 기업들은 지식 경영을 통해, 조직원들이 지식을 공유하고 교환할 수 있도록 장려하고 있으며, 이러한 활동들은 기업의 핵심 역량을 증진시키는 데 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 제안한 연구 모형에서는 지식 경영 성과의 선행요인들이 조직원들의 흡수 역량에 영향을 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서는 지식 경영 성과로 조직원들의 지식 경영 만족과 공유 지식 품질을 고려하였으며, 고려한 지식 경영 성과들이 조직원들의 지식 흡수 능력을 향상시키는 중요한 선행 요인으로 작용하는지 살펴보았다. 그리고, 지식 경영 성과의 선행 요인으로 외재적 보상, 내재적 보상, 관계적 보상을 고려하였다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 기업의 형태에 따라, 선행변수들의 영향 차이를 살펴보았다. 제안된 연구 모형은 2개의 공기업 1,103명과 5개의 사기업 907명의 데이터를 통해 검증되었다. 본 연구 결과에서는 조직원들의 지식 경영 만족과 공유 지식 품질이 조직원들의 지식 흡수 능력을 향상시키는데 도움을 주는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 외재적 보상은 조직원들의 지식경영 만족에만 유의한 영향을 미쳤지만, 내재적 보상과 관계적 보상은 지식 경영 성과 모두에 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한, 기업 형태의 조절 변수에 대한 결과를 제시를 하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로, 이론과 실무적 관점에서 시사점을 도출하였다.

급식 대상 유형과 위탁급식전문업체 규모별 고객 만족도에 영향을 미치는 서비스 품질 속성의 규명 (Identifying the Effect of Service Quality Attributes on an Overall Customer Satisfaction by the Foodservice Type and the Contract Management Company(CMC) Scale)

  • The purposes of this study were to a) measure the service quality attributes of foodservice type such as school foodservice, hospital foodservice and business & industry(B&I) foodservice, managed by contract management company(CMC), b) compare with service quality attributes by CMC scale, c) analyze overall customer satisfaction(CS) by the foodservice type and the CMC scale, and d) identify the effect of service quality attributes on an overall CS by the foodservice type and the CMC scale. The questionnaires were handed out to 6,620 customers of 207 school, 38 hospital, and 86 B&I foodservices in 108 CMCs. The statistical data analysis was completed using SPSS Win(ver 12.0) for descriptive analysis, t-test, reliability analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. From an analysis on service quality attributes, 'proper arrangement of table and chair at hall distribution(3.53)', 'operation of nutrition education(3.50)' were highly perceived to student, 'correctable serving(4.08)', 'serve at fixed distribution time(4.08)', 'kindness of serving employee(4.04)' were highly perceived to patient, 'employee's kindness(3.84)' were highly perceived to customer of B&I. In comparison of service quality attributes by CMC scale, most scores of large enterprise(LE) were significantly higher than small and medium sized enterprise(SME) in school foodservice, hospital foodservice and B&I foodservice. Overall CS levels were 3.53 out of a maximum 5 on B&I, 3.46 on school, and 3.44 on hospital and were evaluated differently CS score by CMC scale. Finally, regression results for the effects of service quality attributes on overall CS by each of foodservice type were identified significantly different service quality attributes by foodservice type such as school, hospital, B&I(p<.001) and by CMC scale. For considering the goal of enterprise on profit-making through CS and the needs of customer on CS at moment of truth(MOT), the findings should be applied to the CMC and the foodservice industry.
