The Relative Influence of Social and Psychological Factors on Life Satisfaction : Comparison of Entrepreneur and Paid employee (삶의 만족도에 대한 사회적, 심리적 요인의 상대적 영향력에 관한 연구 :창업자와 임금근로자 비교를 중심으로)

  • It is about the study of life satisfaction with type of employment(entrepreneur/paid employee), social factor(social capital), and psychological factor(self efficacy) in Seoul. The empirical results using Seoul Welfare Panel showed that psychological factor was the most powerful, and economic (household income levels) and social factor were in order. Type of employment was also significantly affected on life satisfaction, and paid employee's life satisfaction was higher than entrepreneur's one. In case of paid employee, psychological(self-efficacy) and social(norms, informal networks of participation, non-profit trust) factor in addition to the economic factor were significantly. In case of entrepreneur, economic and psychological factor and only norm among social factors were significant. Finally, The implications for politicians and local public officials were reported.

The Effect of Corporate Support in Learning on Individual Participation in Learning and Organizational Learning (기업에서 학습지원이 개인의 학습참여와 조직학습에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • This study examines corporate support in learning on individual participation in learning and organizational learning. For this purpose, First, what does corporate support in learning affect individual participation in learning? Second, what does corporate support in learning and individual participation influence organizational learning? This study analyzed 1,268 employees at 139 companies. Sample sizes averaged about 9.22 employee per corporate. This paper used statistical method of hierarchical linear model. Above all, the findings show that corporate support in both formal and informal learning has meaningful effect on individual participation in formal learning and relationship. The findings reveal that corporate support in formal learning has influence on capacity, organizational memory, learning competency, adaptation to environment except sharing value. Furthermore, individual participation in learning has positive effect of increased organizational learning in all areas. In particular, it is shown that participation in informal relationship plays an important role to improve individuals' organizational learning ability.

A Study on Relation Between the Success Factors of Quality Management and Performance - With Emphasis on Automotive Parts Industry - (품질경영 성공요인과 경영성과와의 관련성 분석 - 자동차부품산업을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to substantially analyze the relation between the success factors of quality management and performance. For this purpose, the success factors of quality management - CEO's leadership, customer-centeredness, process management, training, full participation of employees, and relationship with vendors - were identified as independent variables and performance was identified as dependent variable to substantially analyze the automotive parts industry. In result, the findings can be summarized into the following: First, for the relation between the success factors of quality management and financial performance, CEO's leadership, customer-centeredness, training, and full participation of employees were statistically significant, but process management and relationship with vendors were not statistically significant. Second, for the relation between the success factors of quality management and non-financial performance, CEO's leadership, customer-centeredness, full participation of employees, and relationship with vendors were statistically significant, but process management and training were not statistically significant. Third, it was also found that, among the success factors of quality management, CEO's leadership, customer-centeredness, full participation of employee should be considered more than any other variables to achieve performance. Based on the above findings, it was concluded that 'CEO's leadership' and 'customer-centeredness' had an influence on both financial and non-financial performances and were relatively more influential than other individual factors.

  • This study examines the effects of organizational trust of the container terminal operators' employee on organizational citizenship behavior and the moderating effect of organizational support in the relationship between the two variables. In order to efficiently achieve the purpose of this study, an empirical analysis was conducted by distributing a literature review and a questionnaire, and the results of the study are as follows... First, the organizational trust of the container terminal operators' employee was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on organizational citizenship behavior, and trust in the company appeared to be more important than trust in the superior, indicating trust in the institutional aspect. This means that formation has more influence on organizational citizenship behavior... Second, it was confirmed that the organizational support of the container terminal operators' employee can lead to active participation in organizational citizenship behavior through the expansion of educational compensatory support. Third, among the organizational support of container terminal operators, emotional support and educational compensatory support were found to have a partial moderating effect on the relationship between organizational trust and organizational citizenship behavior." Emotional support has a moderating effect on caring and active participation behaviors in the relationship between trust in the company and organizational citizenship behaviors, and a moderating effect on caring, active participation, and non-complaining behaviors in the relationship between trust in superiors and organizational citizenship behaviors. It was analyzed that there is Compensatory educational support has a moderating effect on altruistic, caring, active participation, and non-complaining behavior in the relationship between trust in the company and organizational citizenship behavior. It was analyzed that there was a moderating effect on active participation and non-complaining behavior. These analysis results mean that members' trust in the company further increases through the container terminal operator's emotional support and educational reward support. As uncertainty grows, it is very important to increase the trust of organizational members in the organization. sense of belonging to the organization, Emotional support that can increase immersion, improvement of work environment, provision of educational opportunities, and education-compensatory support such as a fair compensation system will increase organizational trust and induce effective organizational citizenship behavior to realize sustainable growth of the organization.

KMS reinforcement method in the small organization (소규모 조직의 지식경영시스템 활성화 방안)

  • When small organizations construct and operate Knowledge Management System(KMS), there exists inefficiency in employee participation and system usage. In recent years, web itself is evolving into web 2.0. And It is crucial to utilize web 2.0 characteristics into KMS. The problems in the original version of KMS(KMS 1.0) is as follows. KMS is separated from Offline and electronic work processing systems. Even information in the electronic work processing system cannot be accessed by employees of other divisions in the same organization. Now web 2.0 environment provides more enhanced user participation and information sharing. It also reinforces KMS 1.0 into KMS 2.0. Small organizations should take advantage of web 2.0 environment and construct the better version KMS of its own with low-cost and high-efficiency.

Effects of Hotel Employee' Followership on Service Orientation (호텔구성원의 팔로워십이 서비스지향성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to suggest implications on hotel HR management through the research on the influence relation with voluntary behaviors that increase the effectiveness of work functions and also hotel employee' perceived followership contributing to achievement of hotel's goals. As study methods to achieve the study objective suggested above, we aim to conduct literature research and empirical study. The data are analyzed by such frequency analysis, validity analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, covariance structure analysis. The SPSS 10.1 and AMOS 4.0 for Windows program was used to investigate material. The major finding can be summarized as follow: The analysis on relationship between followership and revealed that 'critical thinking' and 'enthusiasm' dimensions of but 'active participation' dimension of followership has not affected service orientation. The expected effects through this study are like below. First, it is expected that the theory about followership will be extended by verifying the causal relation between followership and internal mental state. Second, it is also expected to be able to suggest alternatives for qualitative improvement of service and emphasis of the importance of hotel employee'.

Effects of Supervisor's Authentic Leadership on Job Performance for Employees: Focused on the Mediating Effect of Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (상사의 진성리더십이 구성원의 직무성과에 미치는 영향: 조직몰입과 조직시민행동의 매개효과 중심으로)

  • This study is aimed at suggesting the implications about the importance of authentic leadership through the analysis of what influence of supervisor's authentic leadership has on job performance for employees. Especially, this study investigates whether employee's organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior mediates the relationship between authentic leadership and job performance. Survey was carried out among employees in a variety of organizations. Total 440 sheets of sample have been derived and analysed by SPSS/WIN 24.0 and Stata 14.0. The result revealed that supervisor's authentic leadership was positively related to organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior, and job performance for employees. Further, organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior mediated the effects of authentic leadership on employee's job performance. The salient point was that in order to improve employee's job performance is to improve the employee's voluntary participation and cooperation behavior through the supervisor's authentic leadership.

The Effects of Korean Hotel Employee Follower Types on Job Attitudes

  • Purpose - This study conducts an empirical analysis of Korean hotel employees' perceived follower types and job attitudes and the influence of social relationships. Management methods are proposed based on the follower relationships. Research, data, and methodology - Data were collected from 400 surveys in eight top hotel restaurants in Seoul from March 16, 2016 to April 16, 2016. Of the 400, 359 valid surveys were used. The analysis was conducted using SPSS 19.0. Frequency and correlation, reliability and validity, and multiple regression tests were conducted. Results - Social relationships had a control effect on the relationship between follower types and job attitudes in terms of independent critical thinking and job satisfaction. For the social exchange relationship, active enthusiastic participation and job satisfaction had a control effect. The relationship of independent critical thinking and changes in career also had a control effect. There was no control effect in the relationship between active enthusiastic participation and motives for changing a career. Conclusion - By having followers with independent critical thinking and active enthusiastic participation, a company can achieve higher competitiveness.

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate differences in job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and intent to leave the job among the employee groups of korea fashion companies according to the degree of participation in sports activities. For the study, the questionnaire was developed by the authors and distributed to 350 employees of Korean fashion companies. A total of 300 questionnaires was collected and used for the final analysis. Data were analyzed by frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, independent sample T-test, ANOVA and Tukey's test, using the SPSS 18.0 Package Program. The findings were as follows. The fashion industry professional group which had spent longer period and hours, and more days in sports activities tended to have higher job satisfaction and organizational commitment and lower intent to leave their job.
