업무상 컴퓨터 사용 정도가 작업관련 불건강 증상 경험 여부 및 회수에 미치는 영향 분석 (The effect of computer using work hours on work-related symptom experiences)

  • Employees used computer significantly(IT employee) is increased by technological development in workplace. This study tried to find the magnitude of IT employees and the profile of their working conditions and ill health experiences in South Korea. Korean Working Conditions Survey was used with descriptive and mean difference test in order to find the difference working conditions and ill health status among the groups classified by the degree of using computer during work. Some of working conditions was positively correlated with the density of computer use such as work autonomy, the exposure of repetitive movement of hand and arms. The pain of upper extreme was also more frequently found in the highest user group of computer than lower user groups. Based on the result of hierarchical regression analysis, the effect of computer using on the experience of work-related symptoms after controlling other factors was shown as U shape. This study as heuristic one suggest that some of depth analysis with hypothesis will be done to identify the causes and pathway of impact of computer use.

종업원의 직무특성이 서비스품질에 미치는 효과 (The effects of job characteristics on service quality)

  • The purpose of this research is to test the effects of employee perceived job characteristics on service quality. Empirical analysis was based on the data of 692 hotel employees from Seoul and Gyung-gi province. To test the relationship between job characteristics and service quality, multiple regression analysis was applied, and hierarchial regression analysis(Cohen & Cohen, 1983) applied to test the moderating effects of gender and tenure. Multiple regressional analysis showed that job importance, job variety, and feedback had an affirmative impact on tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, but autonomy had a negative impact on tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance.

The Degree of Association between Traditional Markets and Related Major Factors in Korea

  • Purpose - This paper studies if types of markets have an association with several variables such as occupation, district, sales, employee, administrative district by a lessor, area in rental building and so on. Three attributes of markets can be general commercial zones, central commercial zones and traditional markets. Furthermore, we can investigate the degree of association by calculating the numerical strength and visualizing their distances on two-dimensional plane, once the association exists between them. Research design, data, and methodology - This work is performed by the 2013 report presented with Small Businessmen Promotion Institute in Korea and used by a chi-squared test and correspondence analysis by using IBM SPSS 23.0. Results - The results show that types of markets, including traditional markets, have an association with variables considered in this paper, and we can obtain the detailed associations between attributes of corresponding variables by inspecting two-dimensional plane. Conclusions - This study suggests that government authority and local autonomy can make strategies to vitalize traditional markets and to get win-win relationships among several types of markets by looking over our findings.

조직유착모형의 경험적 적합성에 관한 고찰 - 교사들의 경우를 중심으로 한 한 . 미간 비교연구 - (An Empirical Testing of Employee Attchment Model: A Comprison of South Korean and U.S. Teachers)

  • 본 논문은 피고용자들의 조직에 대한 헌신도와 근속의도에 초점을 두는 피고용자 조직유착(employee organizational attachment)의 인과모형을 비교, 검토한다. 이 논문은 교사들의 조직유착 행위에 대한 두 개의 연구, 즉 미국 시카고 지역 공립학교 교사들에 대한 연구와 한국의 서울시 중등학교 교사들에 대한 연구를 바탕으로 하고 있다. 이 논문의 이론적틀은 Price-Mueller의 조직유착모형이다. 이 모형은 크게 다섯 개 군의 변수들을 포함하고 있다: 1) 일(노동)에 대한 반응변수 - 업무만족도, 헌신도, 근속의도, 2) 심리학적 긴장변수 - 역할애매성, 역할갈등, 업무과부하, 학생들의 자질, 3) 사회적 구조변수 - 자율성, 단순성, 분배정의 승진의 정당성, 4) 경제적 구조변수 - 보수, 직업안정성, 승진기회, 외부 노동시장 기회, 그리고 5) 개인적 성향변수 - 직업헌신도, 노동가치, 기대만족, 긍정적 인성. 자료는 질문지 조사방법으로 수집되었으며, 서울시내 중등교사들을 대상으로 한 표본 조사 결과 649개의 유효사례가 최종분석에 사용되었다. 조직유착의 인과적 모형을 검증하기위해 LISREL을 이용한 공분산구조분석이 사용되었다. 결과에 따르면 근속의도에 대한 외생변수들의 영향을 매개하는 데, 내생변수인 업무만족도와 조직헌신도의 역할이 미국에 비해 크게 작을 뿐만 아니라, 이 모형은 근속의도 변수의 변량을 크게 설명하지도 못한다. 한국과 미국의 이러한 차이는 한국의 교사들이 가지고 있는 고용관계와 노동시장의 구조적 특성들, 즉 강제적 이동과 외부노동시장의 폐쇄성 때문에 나타나는 것으로 보인다. 미국에서 발달한 이러한 조직유착모형은 적용범위(scope condition)를 명시함으로써 예외적인 경험적 자료에 따른 잘못된 무효화를 방지할 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 앞으로 연구는 한국 교사들의 경우와 같은 구조적 제약에서 피고용자들의 조직유착을 가져오는 요인들에 대한 개념적 및 경험적 탐구에 더 많은 관심을 두어야 한다.

병원근무자의 직무만족 요인 분석 (Job Satisfaction of Hospital Employees)

  • Purpose: To identify job satisfaction of hospital employees and the relating factors Methods: The study sample was a total of 1,031 healthcare workers(doctors, nurses, pharmacists, medical engineers, office workers, etc) at a tertiary teaching hospital. The data were collected using a questionnaire developed by a expert group. The questionnaire consisted of 21 items including job characteristics, organizational culture, and personal characteristics on the five Likert scale. Results: The overall satisfaction on job characteristics was 3.24 on the five Likert scale. The satisfaction of each item was 4.14 in role clarity, 3.26 in communication participating rate, 3.10 in work variety, 3.06 in autonomy, and 2.64 in workload. The overall satisfaction on organizational culture was 3.00. Particularly, the satisfaction on collaboration was 3.83, co-worker's support. 3.73, identity, 3.62, education/training opportunity, 3.12, pay, 2.62, welfare, 2.35, promotion, 2.34, and organizational conflict, 2.00. The level of satisfaction on personal characteristics was 3.00. In the satisfaction of each item, the score of disposition was 3.83, contribution to the hospital, 3.75, pride as a member of hospital, 3.70, and attitude on job performance, 3.68. The correlation between satisfaction and other variables was statistically significant with the exception of work variety. The satisfaction related significantly to loyalty index(r=.486, p=.000), autonomy(r=.415, p=.000), pride as a member of hospital(r=.411, p=.000), supervisor support(r=.364, p=.000). Conclusions: The results showed developing organizational strategy to promote job satisfaction can decrease the turnover rate and increase loyalty to the organization. It will contribute to enhance productivity in hospital.

직무특성과 직무성과 간의 관계에 미치는 코칭 리더십의 조절효과 (The Moderating Effects of Managerial Coaching between Job Characteristics and Job Performance)

  • 코칭에 대한 실무적 관심이 높아졌음에도 불구하고 이에 대한 학문적 정의와 발전은 아직 미약한 실정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 기업현장에서 이미 광범위하게 수용된 코칭이 직무성과에 기여하는 실제적 영향과 메커니즘을 밝히는 것이다. 대다수 선행연구들은 코칭교육의 우수성이나 효과성에 대한 선언적 평가에 그쳤다는 한계가 있었다. 이를 극복하고자 코칭 리더십(managerial coaching)이 직무특성이론의 동기부여과정에 개입하는 영향을 실증하고, 코칭교육이 아니라 관리자의 코칭활동에 집중하는 행동주의적 접근을 시도하였다. 연구모형을 검증하기 위하여 국내 금융기업의 조직구성원 453명에 대한 설문자료를 바탕으로 다수준 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 코칭 리더십이 조직구성원의 직무성과에 미치는 긍정적인 직접효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 핵심직무특성 중에서 직무유의성(job meaningfulness) 및 자율성(autonomy)과 직무성과의 관계를 코칭리더십이 긍정적으로 조절하는 수준 간 영향(cross-level moderating effect)이 유의하게 나타났다. 직무특성의 요건에 따라 집중해야 할 코칭의 기술과 방향이 최적화 관점에서 모색되어야 한다는 본 연구의 시사점은, 기업현장에서 광범위하게 수행된 코칭교육이 간과했던 실천적 공백을 메우는 데 기여할 것으로 기대한다.

호텔주방의 HACCP 시스템적용 유무에 따른 조리종사원의 직무스트레스, 만족, 몰입의 비교 분석 (A Comparative Study of Job Stress, Satisfaction and Commitment of Cooking Employees in Hotel Kitchens with and without HACCP Systems)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to identify differences in job stress, satisfaction and commitment of cooking employees working in hotel kitchens with and without HACCP systems. Methods: Culinary employees of 12 five-star hotels were surveyed and 504 valid data were used for SPSS analysis. Sub factors of working environment factors (job stress, job satisfaction, and job commitment) were examined for analysis. Results: The results showed that hotels that implemented the HACCP system had significantly higher values for the five sub factors of employee job stress (job demand, relationship conflict, organizational system, lack of job autonomy, and job instability; p<0.001). For the sub factors of job satisfaction (internal and external satisfaction) statistic showed a statistically significant value in hotels that did not implement the HACCP system (p<0.001). Job attachment and job importance, which are sub factors of job commitment, showed no difference in relation to the implementation of HACCP system, and job responsibility showed a higher p-value in hotels that did not implement HACCP (p<0.05). Conclusions: The results of the study indicate that culinary employees working at venues with HACCP systems have more job related stress, lower job satisfaction and partially less job commitment. Based on this outcome, venues that have already implemented or are planning to implement HACCP systems should consider the implications regarding their management of employees. Managerial policies that enhance autonomy, job stability, achievement, self-development, promotion, and compensation should also be implemented. Finally, meticulous attention and high investments into the work environment and human resources are necessary.

소상공인의 핵심직무특성과 태도의 관계 (Relationship between Core Job Characteristics and Attitude of Small Business Employees)

  • 본 연구는 종업원의 태도에 영향을 주는 직무특성을 확인하기 위하여, 인적자원관리의 관점에서 소상공인의 핵심직무특성(기술다양성, 과업정체성, 과업중요성, 자율성, 피드백)과 태도(직무만족, 조직몰입, 이직의도)간의 관계를 확인하는데 연구목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 국내 기업의 종업원 315명을 대상으로 소상공인의 핵심직무특성이 태도에 미치는 영향, 소상공인의 핵심직무특성과 태도간의 관계에서 성장욕구강도의 조절효과 등을 분석하였다. 회귀분석결과 기술다양성과 과업중요성은 직무만족에 정(+)의 영향을, 기술다양성과 피드백은 조직몰입에는 정(+)의 영향을 그리고 이직의도에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 성장욕구강도의 조절효과는 과업중요성과 이직의도간의 관계에서만 발견되었다. 마지막으로 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 소상공인의 직무 태도 증진 방안과 경영전략적 시사점을 제시하였다.

보조공학전공 근로자들의 직무스트레스 요인과 사회심리적 스트레스에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Job Stress and Psychosocial Wellbeing Index of Industrial Workers with Assistive Technology Major)

  • In the perspective of industrial health management, it is important for the employee to decrease their job stress, to improve their productivity and quality of labor. In this study, the job stress, and it's influence on PWI(Psychosocial Wellbeing Index) were investigated by the questionnaire survey of 138 industrial workers who had studied assistive technology in college. The contents of questionnaire consist of the demographic characteristics, job-related characteristics, job stress and psycho-social stress. We evaluated job stress by KOSS-SF(Korean Occupational Stress Scale-Sort Form) and psychosocial stress by PWI-SF(Psychosocial Well-being Index-Short Form). To analyze the results, we evaluated the exposure level of KOSS and PWI by demographic characteristics and job-related characteristics using significance tests. Also, we estimated the relationship among demographic characteristics, job-related characteristics, job stress and psychosocial stress, using correlation analysis. As a results, all workers were found to be in a group under the high risky stress. It showed that the scale index of female's job non-autonomy and pwi were much larger than those of male's. Therefore, to guarantee job autonomy of female workers should be more emphasized, to improve their working environment. Job type had significant relationships with many job stress category; physical environment, job demand, job instability and organization culture. Regarding pwi, the scale index of the workers who is in charge of the civil service such as contacting the disabled and the aged in person, were much larger than that of the other workers. Accordingly, the job stress management program including physical environment, job demand, job instability and organization culture, should be suggested, to decrease the stress of the workers in charge of the disabled and the elders service. The strongest predictors of pwi was organization system through maximum positive relations between organization system and pwi. Therefore, it indicates that improvement of organization system such as a fair merit rating, a manpower supply, demand plan and department cooperation is urgently needed to reduce pwi.

Facilitators and Barriers in the Use of a Checklist by Insurance Physicians during Work Ability Assessments in Depressive Disorder

  • Objectives: Depressive disorder (DD) is a complex disease, and the assessment of work ability in patients with DD is also complicated. The checklist depression (CDp) has recently been developed to support such work ability assessments and has been recommended for implementation in insurance medicine, starting with an analysis of the organisational and social contexts. The aim of this study was to identify the potential facilitators and barriers in the use of the CDp by insurance physicians (IPs) during work ability assessments of employees on sick leave due to DD. Methods: A qualitative research was conducted based on semi-structured interviews. The participants were IPs with at least one year of work experience in performing work ability assessments. The interviews were audiotaped, transcribed and analysed qualitatively. Results: Ten IPs (7 males, 3 females; mean 53 years) were interviewed. Important facilitators, which emerged for use of the CDp, were an oral introduction for colleagues and staff, support from management, valuing the increased transparency in work ability assessments with using the CDp, having adequate time for assessments as well as modification of the appearance (colour, plasticised form) and content (clarifying aspects of the examples) of the assessment tool. The fear of the loss of autonomy, lack of added value of the CDp, high workload, inadequate instructions and lack of time were mentioned as barriers. Conclusion: Adequate introduction to the use of CDp and the fear of the loss of autonomy of IPs need special attention in planning its implementation.
