Among them, 220(88%) copies were used for the analysis. SPSS WIN Version 12.0 statistical package program was used for the analysis of data processing, the frequency analysis, reliability analysis and factor analysis were operated, and the hypothesis testing was verified by the regression analysis. The results of the analyses are as follows. For the hypothesis that "the dining-out consumption pattern will have a significant effect on the emotional response," it was verified that the style which pursues health and the style which is loyal to relationships had significant effects on pleasure while the style which pursues rest didn't. Third, none of the servicescape components showed a direct effect on patients' behavioral intention, but their influence was mediated by internal responses. However, customer understanding, among other human service quality factors, had a direct effect on patients' behavioral intention. Fourth, emotional response, among other internal response factors, proved to have positive influence on behavioral intention. Results from this study suggest that dental care service providers can increase their competitiveness and customer satisfaction by understanding and improving the most important areas of servicescape and human service quality.

  • Recently, negative emotional responses by drivers are a growing problem, which leads to not only a traffic accident but a crime so called 'road rage' in countries with heavy traffics including South Korea. Under such a circumstance, measuring stress- and fatigue-induced emotional responses by means of wireless communication and a wearable system would be useful. The purpose of this study is to implement a system that measures various signals from a driver, derives and monitors his emotional responses from the measurements and verify its derivations with reliability. This paper, as a first part of the research, describes how the system has been implemented with experimental methods.

  • While the cognitive aspects of customer behavior have been a main subject of research, some researchers are now focusing on the emotional aspects. The influence of emotion on attitude and judgement has been accepted by many researchers, and most studies regarding emotion have focused on physical surroundings and emotional responses, based on Mehrabian & Russell's 1974 model. This study aimed to expand the scope of the model by including employee service. Here we examined the structural relationships between the physical surroundings and employee service of upscale restaurants, along with emotional response, and service loyalty. Physical surroundings and employee service were used as single factors, and we composed four different emotional responses: positive, negative, positive arousal, and negative arousal. While physical surroundings had impact on 'positive emotion' and 'positive arousal', Employee service had influence on 'negative emotion', and 'negative arousal' as well as 'positive emotion'. And 'positive emotion' and 'positive arousal' influenced service loyalty. Lastly, there was also a correlation between physical surroundings and employee service.
