  • Purpose The research was studied the hierarchical Hangul emotion index by organizing all the emotions which SNS users are thinking. As a preliminary study by the researcher, the English-based Plutchick (1980)'s emotional standard was reinterpreted in Korean, and a hashtag with implicit meaning on SNS was studied. To build a multidimensional emotion dictionary and classify three-dimensional emotions, an emotion seed was selected for the composition of seven emotion sets, and an emotion word dictionary was constructed by collecting SNS hashtags derived from each emotion seed. We also want to explore the priority of each Hangul emotion index. Design/methodology/approach In the process of transforming the matrix through the vector process of words constituting the sentence, weights were extracted using TF-IDF (Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency), and the dimension reduction technique of the matrix in the emotion set was NMF (Nonnegative Matrix Factorization) algorithm. The emotional dimension was solved by using the characteristic value of the emotional word. The cosine distance algorithm was used to measure the distance between vectors by measuring the similarity of emotion words in the emotion set. Findings Customer needs analysis is a force to read changes in emotions, and Korean emotion word research is the customer's needs. In addition, the ranking of the emotion words within the emotion set will be a special criterion for reading the depth of the emotion. The sentiment index study of this research believes that by providing companies with effective information for emotional marketing, new business opportunities will be expanded and valued. In addition, if the emotion dictionary is eventually connected to the emotional DNA of the product, it will be possible to define the "emotional DNA", which is a set of emotions that the product should have.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop teaching program which utilizes emotional intelligence elements as a measure to stimulate the motive and scientific attitude of learners and examine the effect of its application. The target unit for this study is 'world of plants' in the fourth grade of elementary school, and the teaching program is composed of 3 stages including I(encounter with myself), S(encounter with science), and U(encounter with friends). The teaching program is organized in the way to reflect 5 emotional intelligence elements including self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, sympathy, and personal relations properly according to each stage of teaching program. The result of applying this program into actual classrooms is as follows. First, it is proven that the teaching program actually helps improving the motive of learners to study science. The emotional intelligence takes a role of positive motive for thinking, and the learners monitor their emotion and behavior patterns by using a mirror notebook to reduce their anxiety about science. Second, it is proven that the teaching program changes the science related attitude of learners positively. The emotional intelligence elements help the learners to create friendly feeling toward science subject and have a friendly attitude toward science and a sense of expectancy to science class. Third, it is proven that the teaching program contributes to the improvement of learners' science study achievement. The emotional intelligence takes an important role in improving the learners' science study achievement through the role of adjusting and controlling the recognition capability. However, emphasizing the emotional intelligence excessively also has a risk to break the balance between emotion and recognition, so it is considered that the balanced approach should be applied.

  • While the quantitative results of research on emotional labor that has been studied in Korea has never been minimal, most of the researches that have been conducted are limited to generalization by empirical analysis studies limited to single industry cases. A more integrated approach is needed in addition to quantitative research methods in order to research results that can be generalized when the importance and interest in emotional labor is increasing. Therefore, this study analyzed in-depth 112 articles published in the field of management in Korea, which were searched under the keyword emotional labor, using KCI from 2008 to 2018. To this end, the research trends of emotional labor, such as the concept, and the method of analysis, were reviewed from various aspects and presented future research directions. This research result attempted to contribute not only to academic contribution to emotional labor but also to the expansion or integration of the application area to the internal mechanisms of emotional labor.

  • Recently emotional relationships between industrial products and user experience are getting more attention than ever. However, current user interface design has focused just on the mechanical and logical aspects. This research proposed a new approach to improve user's emotional experience to interface design and introduced storytelling as a new possibility. Four types of user interface - logical interface, picture added interface, storytelling-applied interface, and storytelling-applied interface with a story script - were used for this research. Eighty college students participated in this research. Each participant was randomly assigned to one of four types of user interfaces. Additionally, their individual differences in affect intensity were measured. he results show that users reported more emotional experience in the storytelling-applied interface and storytelling-applied interface with a story script than the logical interface and just picture added interface. The results also suggest that the higher satisfaction was experienced for the storytelling-applied interface. And all those results are differentiated by the users' affect intensity. The users who have higher affect intensity expressed heavier emotional experience and deeper satisfaction for the storytelling-applied interface.

  • Consumer's switching behavior from incumbent smartphone to new one can be explained by not merely rational assessment but also affective aspects like aesthetic or pleasure and emotional points like attachment. but, in information system field, researches on affective.emotional factors relatively were insufficient and researches which focus on the perspective of the consumer were more scarcity. consumer's attachment to current smartphone brand and perceived aesthetic on new one would influence rational evaluation to switch or not. Therefore, this study investigates relationship between emotional factors on current smartphone and assessment of new one, in turn, we empirically analyzes purchase intention of the consumer. In order to prove the validity of the hypotheses, this study was applied longitudinal study and then conduct a survey of 212 smartphone users. The analysis results by Partial Least Square (PLS) approach showed that all hypotheses in this study were statistically supported.

  • The structure of fears was identified and measured by Q methodology. Subjects were 40 school-aged children with emotional and behavioral problems. Subjectivity of children's fears was classified into 3 types by the QUANL program. Three types occupied 52% of all variance and correlations ranged between .31 and.52. The first type is "imaginative-sensitive perception" where children are fearful about unreal and imaginative objects related to death. The second type is "rational-empirical perception" where children are concerned about the impact of fearful objects and authoritative figures based on their own personal experience. The last type is "realistic-egocentric perception" where children are fearful of possible violence, crime, and disease.
