학대받은 아동과 일반 아동의 정서지능과 정서조절 비교연구 (Comparative Study of Abused Children and General Children's Emotional Intelligence and Emotion Regulation)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the emotional ability between abused children and general children by comparing their emotional intelligence and emotional control. Participants were 17 abused children who had been separated from their abusers and 17 general children, all elementary school students. The answers to the questionnaire items on emotional intelligence and situations of emotional motivation were analyzed by Mann-Whitney U as a study tool. The results of this study were as follows: First, the difference of emotional intelligence between abused children and general children was statistically significant. Abused children received lower scores than general children when it came to their emotional recognition, emotional expression, empathy, and emotional regulation as a subordinate scope of emotional intelligence. Second, the difference of emotional regulation strategy between abused children and general children was statistically significant. Abused children presented negative responses and less frequently used positive strategy, inhibitory avoidance strategy and alternative strategy than general children. Third, the difference of emotional regulation motivation between abused children and general children was statistically significant. Abused children presented less prosocial motivation, motivation of self-preservation and normative motivation than general children.

공과대학생의 정서조절전략이 대인관계 갈등대처전략에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Engineering Students' Emotional Regulation Strategies on Interpersonal Conflict Coping Strategies)

  • This study examined how emotion regulation strategies specifically function in the interpersonal conflict coping strategies of engineering students. For this purpose, a interpersonal conflict coping strategies and emotion regulation strategies scale was used for 548 engineering students. Multiple regression analysis was conducted. Among the emotion regulation strategies, the "return to body" strategy was related to understanding, validation, focusing, and the "stop action" strategy. In particular, the "stop action" strategy was closely related only to the "return to body" strategy. Among interpersonal conflict coping strategies, the dominating strategy used both positive emotion regulation strategies, such as high refocus on planning, and negative emotion regulation strategies, such as other-blame. Additionally, among negative conflict coping strategies, it was confirmed that both aggression and negative emotional expression, which seem to have similar attributes, share a common feature of having high difficulty in emotional clarity. However, in the case of negative emotional expression, it is characterized by a lack of putting into perspective and high other-blame. On the other hand, the agression strategy seemed to have different characteristics, such as high self-blame and low return to body. By investigating the relationship between interpersonal conflict coping strategies and specific emotion regulation strategies, this study provides implications for education and intervention on which specific emotion regulation strategies need to be cultivated for engineering students to improve their interpersonal conflict resolution capabilities.

시설보호 유아를 위한 사회적 유능감 향상 프로그램 개발 및 효과 검증 (Development ana Evaluation of Social Competence Enrichment Program for Institutionalized Children in Early Childhood)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate a social competence enrichment program for institutionalized children in early childhood. The program was developed to enhance institutionalized children's social competence. The program consists of sixteen 30-minute sessions. 19 institutionalized children (11 boys and 8 girls) participated in this program. The effect of this program was evaluated by institutionalized preschool children's emotional knowledge and interpersonal problem solving strategy. Assessment of emotional knowledge consists of identification and situation task. Interpersonal problem solving strategy includes forceful, prosocial, and manipulative strategy. Results showed that there was a significant experimental effect for emotional knowledge. Experimental children showed higher scores of emotional knowledge than control children. Also, there was a significant experimental effect for prosocial and forceful strategy. Experimental children showed higher ratio of prosocial strategy and lower ratio of forceful strategy than control children. The results of program evaluation revealed that this program was helpful for promoting institutionalized children's social competence.

영아의 정서조절 전략과 어머니의 반응유형 간의 관련성 (Strategies for Emotional Regulation in Infancy and Maternal Responsiveness)

  • This study examined relations between infants' strategies for emotional regulation and maternal responsiveness. Fifty 24-month-olds were observed for six kinds of emotional regulation strategy during four negative emotion-eliciting tasks; their mothers were observed for five styles of maternal responsiveness during toy-centered free play. Infants used different strategies according to the kinds of negative emotioneliciting tasks; their strategies correlated with maternal responsive styles. In the anger-eliciting tasks, infants used "distraction" and "self soothing." In the fear-eliciting tasks, they used "avoidance" and "problem solving." Infants who received more negative feedback from their mothers used the "irritation" strategy. Infants who got received more positive feedback from their mother used the "getting reference" strategy.

  • The success of Nintendo's Wii has changed the paradigm of console game. Existing games and consoles set up the game-playing system of complicated commands, narratives, and significantly advanced the degree of difficulty by the device's excellent capacity and the superiority of graphic in order to draw so called "Game Manias", while Nintendo established the easy game-playing system for not only game manias but women and elderly people. Such an innovation has carried out the most important role for Nintendo to dominate the market all over the world by 47.4% market share of consoles. In addition, it provided the users with unique interaction and emotional experience. In this study, we analyze the case above in terms of product design strategy, particularly emotional design strategy between Nintendo & Sony.

청소년의 감정조절전략이 정서적 불안정성과 스트레스에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Adolescents' Emotional Control Strategy on Emotional Instability and Stress)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 감정 조절 전략이 정서적 불안정성과 스트레스에 미치는 영향에 대하여 파악하는데 있다. 연구대상은 울산시 청소년 124명을 대상으로 실시하였다. SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 이용한 빈도 분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관관계 분석을 실시하였으며, 변수 간의 인과 관계에 대한 다중 회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 청소년의 감정 조절 전략이 직무 소진에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 감정 조절 전략의 하위요인인 감정 중심 전략 요인은 정서적 불안정성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 인지 중심 전략 요인은 정서적 불안정성에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년의 감정 조절 전략이 스트레스에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 감정 조절 전략의 하위요인인 감정 중심 전략 요인은 스트레스에 부적(-)으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 인지 중심 전략 요인은 스트레스에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 감정 중심 전략 요인이 높을수록 정서적 불안정성과 스트레스가 낮아진다는 것을 의미하는 것이다. 본 연구의 시사점은 청소년의 정서적 불안정과 스트레스를 낮추기 위한 방안 마련의 기초자료가 될 것으로 사료된다.

정서표현억제전략과 외상후 성장의 관계: 외상사건에 대한 자기개방과 사회적 지지의 순차적 다중매개효과 (Relationship between Suppression Strategy of Emotional Expression and Posttraumatic Growth: Serial Multiple Mediating Effects of Self Disclosure on Traumatic Event and Social Support)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정서조절전략이 외상후 성장에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 정서표현억제전략과 외상후 성장과의 관계에서 외상 경험에 대한 자기개방과 사회적 지지의 순차적 다중매개 효과를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 만 18세 이상의 성인을 대상으로 설문을 하여, 663명(남자 222명, 여자 441명)의 자료가 최종 통계분석에 사용되었다. SPSS Process Macro로 분석한 결과, 정서표현억제전략을 덜 사용할수록 외상후 성장이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 정서표현억제전략과 외상후 성장과의 관계에서 자기개방의 단순매개효과, 정서표현억제전략과 외상후 성장과의 관계에서 자기개방과 사회적 지지의 순차적 다중매개효과를 확인하였다. 이는 정서조절전략으로서 정서표현억제를 적게 사용하는 사람들일수록 외상경험에 대해 자기개방을 많이 함으로써 주위 사람들의 위로와 지지를 받게 되어, 외상후 성장에 이를 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 또한 이는 외상후 성장에 있어 정서적 자기개방과 사회적 지지가 중요함을 확인한 것이다. 평소에 정서표현을 억제하는 비자발적 내담자를 위한 외상후 성장을 촉진할 수 있는 상담현장에서의 개입방법을 제시하였고, 본 연구의 의의 및 한계점, 후속연구의 방향에 대해 제언하였다.

  • 본 연구는 직장인의 자기방어적/관계관여적 정서표현 양가성이 대인관계 스트레스에 영향을 미치는데 있어 사회적 지지와 인지적 정서조절전략의 매개효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 2018년 8-9월에 걸쳐 직장인 413명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS, AMOS, Mplus 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계, 상관분석, 구조방정식 모형검증을 비롯하여 매개효과 검증 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 자기방어적 정서표현 양가성 모형에서는 부분매개효과가 유의하였고, 관계관여적 정서표현 양가성 모형에서는 완전매개효과가 유의하였다. 자기방어적 정서표현 양가성 모형과 관계관여적 정서표현 양가성 모형 모두에서 정서표현 양가성과 대인관계 스트레스의 관계에서 사회적 지지와 정서조절전략을 거쳐 가는 이중매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구는 직장인의 사회적지지에 대한 지각수준을 높이고, 적응적 인지적 정서조절전략을 사용하게 함으로써 대인관계 스트레스를 낮추는 방법을 모색하였다.

갈등해결전략과 정서지능에 의한 아동의 또래지위 판별 (Discriminant Analysis of Children's Peer Status based on their Conflict-Resolving Strategies and Emotional Intelligence)

  • The purposes of this study were to test differences in conflict-resolving strategies and emotional intelligence based on children's peer status, and to verify the discriminance of conflict-resolving strategies and emotional intelligence for peer status. 58 popular children and 52 rejected children from 4 elementary school were selected, and the data were analyzed with independent sample t-test and discriminant analysis. The research findings are as follows: First, negotiation- and cooperation-strategies (sub-factors of conflict-resolving strategy) and emotional intelligence showed statistically significant differences between popular children and rejected children, while other sub-factors of conflict-resolving strategy and sub-factors of emotional intelligence showed indifference between them. Second, negotiation- and cooperation-strategies among 4 sub-factors of conflict-resolving strategy and 5 sub-factors of emotional intelligence were the most discriminant predictors for children's peer status. The results suggest systematic teacher training and program for the rejected children's improvement of negotiation- and cooperation-strategies in their peer relations.

The Differential Effect of Emotional Labour on Boundary Spanners

  • Purpose: The study sought to uncover the effect of emotional labour strategies (surface acting and deep acting) on job satisfaction and emotional exhaustion. The study also purposed to analyse the moderating effect of organisational support (supervisory support and co-worker support) and the role of gender on emotional labour connotations. Research design, data and methodology: A conceptual framework was developed using extant literature which led to the examination of deep acting and surface acting, which are the two main strategies of emotional labour. The outcome variables were emotional exhaustion and job satisfaction. Data was collected from front line employees of banks and was analysed using SEM-AMOS version 21. Results: It was revealed, in this study, that surface acting is inversely related to job satisfaction and positively related to emotional exhaustion, whereas deep acting was positively related to job satisfaction and inversely related to emotional exhaustion. The roles of gender and organisational support were also confirmed. Conclusions: The study therefore concluded that deep acting is the most ideal strategy of emotional labour as it leads to job satisfaction and reduced emotional exhaustion. Surface acting is a harmful emotional labour strategy.
