${\cdot}$공간적 고해상도 자동차 배출량 모형의 개발 (Development of Vehicle Emission Model with a High Resolution in Time and Space)

  • Traffic represents one of the largest sources of primary air pollutants in urban area. As a consequence, numerous abatement strategies are being pursued to decrease the ambient concentration of pollutants. A characteristics of most of the these strategies is a requirement for accurate data on both the quantity and spatial distribution of emissions to air in the form of an atmospheric emission inventory database. In the case of traffic pollution, such an inventory must be compiled using activity statistics and emission factors for vehicle types. The majority of inventories are compiled using passive data from either surveys or transportation models and by their very nature tend to be out-of-date by the time they are compiled. The study of current trends is towards integrating urban traffic control systems and assessments of the environmental effects of motor vehicles. In this study, a model of vehicle emission calculation by using real-time traffic data was studied. Traffic data, which are required on a street-by-street basis, is obtained from induction loops of traffic control system. It is possible that characteristics of hourly air pollutants emission rates is obtained from hourly traffic volume and speed. An emission rates model is allocated with a high resolution space by using geographic information system (GIS). Vehicle emission model was developed with a high resolution spatial, gridded and hourly emission rates.

지리정보시스템을 활용한 CO2 인벤토리 구축 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study for Construction of CO2 Inventory Using GIS)

  • 본 연구에서는 탄소배출 인벤토리 구축에 있어서 지리정보시스템을 활용하여 공간 특성에 따라 분포되고 있는 탄소 배출 규모를 살펴 보고자 하였다. 궁극적으로는 공간대응형 탄소배출 인벤토리를 구축함으로서 온실가스 저감형 도시 공간구조 조성을 위한 기본방향을 제시하고, 친환경적인 녹색 도시로의 변화에 기여하고자 하였다. 지리정보시스템에 입력되는 기초 Data 중 속성정보는 대구광역시 에너지 부문(전력, 도시가스)의 2009년 연간 사용량을 가지고 IPCC 가이드라인에서 제시하고 있는 Tier 1에 대입하여 $CO_2$ 배출량을 추정하였다. 공간정보는 대구광역시 건축물 대장과 지적도를 연계하여 지번에 따라 건축물 용도별로 토지이용 분류를 실시하여 구축하였다. 에너지 부문의 $CO_2$ 배출 인벤토리 구축에 지리정보시스템을 접목함으로서 공간별 $CO_2$ 배출 규모를 파악할 수 있었으며, 토지이용에 따라 $CO_2$ 배출 현황이 각기 상이한 특성을 가지고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

수도권 지역에서 대기질 측정망 자료를 이용한 광화학모델의 이동오염원 배출량 검증 (Verification of Mobile Emission for CMAQ using an Observation-based Approach in Seoul Metropolitan Area)

  • The objective of this study was to simulate surface air pollutants and to examine reliability of mobile emission for CMAQ system using an observation-based approach in the Seoul Metropolitan Area. Accurate assessment of emissions from mobile source is one of the most debatable parts in the entire emissions inventory process. For this study, we evaluated the official emission inventories of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and nitrogen oxides ($NO_x$) using an observation-based approach. In this paper, we achieved VOCs/CO and $NO_x$/CO ratios derived from ambient measurements taken from June to August of 2005 in early morning (07:00~08:00). And we compared them with those derived from the emission inventory. Based on these ratios and on the assumption that official inventory of CO emissions is reasonably accurate, mobile emissions of $NO_x$ seem to be slightly overestimated and VOCs emissions significantly underestimated. The results of simulations using modified emission of mobile source were in closer agreement with the observation results except NO. Predicted NO values based on revised $NO_x$ emissions were considerably lower than the observed values. Using modified emission inventories brings the modeled values into closer agreement with observed ozone levels in Seoul. Especially in case of CO, $NO_x$ and VOCs emission, the modified values were suitable for simulating ozone levels in Seoul and Gyeonggi. However, ozone values predicted using the modified emissions were higher than the observed and predicted values based on original emissions. According to the 95 percentile ozone concentrations, emission revised by CO, $NO_x$ and VOCs from mobile source was the best for predicting high concentration.

대기질 예보 시스템의 입력 배출목록에 따른 PM2.5 모의 성능 평가 - 중국 및 한국을 중심으로 (Evaluation of the Simulated PM2.5 Concentrations using Air Quality Forecasting System according to Emission Inventories - Focused on China and South Korea)

  • Emission inventory is the essential component for improving the performance of air quality forecasting system. This study evaluated the simulated daily mean $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations in South Korea and China for 1-year period (Sept. 2016~Aug. 2017) using air quality forecasting system which was applied by the emission inventory of E2015 (predicted CAPSS 2015 for South Korea and KORUS 2015 v1 for the other regions). To identify the impacts of emissions on the simulated $PM_{2.5}$, the emission inventory replaced by E2010 (CAPSS 2010 and MIX 2010) were also applied under the same forecasting conditions. These results showed that simulated daily mean $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations had generally suitable performance with both emission data-sets for China (IOA>0.87, R>0.87) and South Korea (IOA>0.84, R>0.76). The impacts of the changes in emission inventories on simulated daily mean $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations were quantitatively estimated. In China, normalized mean bias (NMB) showed 5.5% and 26.8% under E2010 and E2015, respectively. The tendency of overestimated concentrations was larger in North Central and Southeast China than other regions under both E2010 and E2015. Seasonal differences of NMB were higher in non-winter season (28.3% (E2010)~39.3% (E2015)) than winter season (-0.5% (E2010)~8.0% (E2015)). In South Korea, NMB showed -5.4% and 2.8% for all days, but -15.2% and -11.2% for days below $40{\mu}g/m^3$ to minimize the impacts of long-range transport under E2010 and E2015, respectively. For all days, simulated $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations were overestimated in Seoul, Incheon, Southern part of Gyeonggi and Daejeon, and underestimated in other regions such as Jeonbuk, Ulsan, Busan and Gyeongnam, regardless of what emission inventories were applied. Our results suggest that the updated emission inventory, which reflects current status of emission amounts and spatio-temporal allocations, is needed for improving the performance of air quality forecasting.

  • 국내 주요항만도시의 효율적인 모니터링 시스템 구축을 위해서는 첫째, 관련 법 제도적 기반 구축 및 관리를 위한 담당기관, 지역항만청, 항만공사의 협력을 강화해야 한다. 둘째, 항만기인 대기 오염물질 배출의 관리를 위해서는 체계적인 배출원 목록(Inventory)과 실시간 감시체계 구축을 통해 관리체계를 확립해야 한다. 셋째, 선박, 항만하역장비, 트럭 등 배출원별 대기 오염물질 배출저감을 위한 적극적 대처방안을 수립해야 한다. 이를 통해 주요 항만도시의 대기질을 개선하고 청정항만도시로 나아갈 수 있다.

지역단위 도로교통 탄소배출 인벤토리구축 방법론 (Region-wide Road Transport CO2 Emission Inventory)

  • 기후변화에 대응하여 수송부문의 탄소배출 저감노력이 세계적인 이슈가 되고 있다. 특히, 지역단위의 수송부문 탄소배출 저감전략의 수립 및 효율 집행을 위해서는 정밀한 탄소배출 인벤토리 구축은 필수적이나, 현재 도로교통의 특성과 수단의 다양성, 통행패턴의 복잡성 등 자료수집 한계로 신뢰성 있는 지역단위 인벤토리는 개략적 산정에 그치고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 문제점을 극복하기 위해 국가교통DB의 자료를 활용하여 지역단위 도로교통 탄소배출 인벤토리 구축 방법론을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 국가교통DB포함 자료 중 $CO_2$ 관련 속성을 파악하고, 이에 적합한 $CO_2$ 산정식을 도출하여 인벤토리 모형을 구축하였다. 구축된 모형의 적용성을 검토하기 위해 부산시를 사례로 2008년도 기준 도로부문의 탄소배출량을 산정하여 기존 연구결과와 비교분석하였다. 또한, 연구의 결과를 기초로 더욱 정밀한 인벤토리 구축을 위한 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.

  • Recently, the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) is the most important international issue. In order to control efficiently GHG emissions and reduction, it is essential to establish GHG inventory preferentially. The aim of this study was to establish the GHG inventory of Korean railroad. The GHG sources were divided into direct and indirect emissions. The GHG released from the operation of rolling stocks was classified according to operating line and the kind of car. Finally, the GHG emission of Korean railroad can be managed systematically using this GHG inventory.

새로운 대기오염물질 배출원 분류체계에 관한 제언 (A Proposal on the New Air Emission Source Categories)

  • A better knowledge of emission inventories can serve several important functions such as provision of public information, identification of primary sources, assessment of temporal and spatial trend, and analysis for national modelling studies. The purpose of this paper is to propose the new air emission source categories on the basis of the Korea Standard Industrial Classification. Hence, the paper focuses on reviewing and comparing the air emission sources categories of USEPA, and EU. The new emission source categories compose Tiers 1, 2, and 3. For Tier 1, there are 14 categories; fuel combustion-utilities, industries, and heating and others, chemical and allied product manufacturing, metals processing, and petroleum and related industries, etc. Tier 2 consists of small categories classified minutely in Tier 1. Tier 3 connects the categories of Tier 2 with the Korea Standard Industrial Classification.
