A study on the performance analysis for the elevator system of the high-rise buildings (초대형 고층 빌딩의 엘리베이터 시스템 성능 평가에 관한 연구)

  • For the high-rise buildings, the effective use of the buildings heavily depends on the transportation system inside the buildings. For a long period of time, elevators have been the most effective means for moving people residing in the buildings. As the number of elevators in the building grows, it is very complicated to control and manage the elevator system effectively. Since it is almost impossible to find the accurate mathematical model for the elevator systems, the conventional analysis method using the approximated equations is prone to error. In this work, the elevator simulator for the high-rise buildings is developed to assess the accurate behavior of the elevator systems. This simulator can be used to analyze the performance of the given system, or to facilitate the design of the effective elevator systems for new buildings. In this paper, the structure of the simulator has been explained and the simulation results are presented.

  • Recently, It has enlarged various service requirements for the market of elevator with the environment of IT convergency. In this paper, we propose the information and control system of elevator based on media streaming service that is extended from the existing control system of an elevator. There is the service environments based on Internet for architecture of information communication in the framework of the suggested streaming service. We use this framework to operate and integrate the various services of elevator system. And also, we so apply to the user requirements easily that we can construct the smart elevator environment by convergence home network and various electronic devices based on IT.

  • Elevator industry is a field that is mechanical, electrical and electronic technology and constantly requires inspection and maintenance considering various applications and various types. Recently, various elevator control and monitoring technologies with IT are developing for elevators on land. But technologies with IT have been hardly done in marine elevator that is consistently assured safety and reliability of life cycle for its parts in poor environment. In this paper, we implemented embedded main controller, floor controller and car controller that meet the requirements and use NMEA network protocol by analyzing home and abroad integrated elevator operation and management systems. Especially, we secured reliability of maintenance by real-time fault diagnosis and control that was implemented with limit switch, gyro sensor, temperature/humidity/barometric pressure sensor and fire detection sensor thinking over the environmental conditions of terrestrial and marine elevator.

  • An elevator system which is a essential equipment for a vertical movement of object, as a property of building, have been drove by various expenditure and purpose. Since developing electrical control technology, control systems are highly developed. An elevator equipment is expended to wide, but a data accuracy acquisition technique and safety predict technique for securing system safety is still basic level. So, objective verification for elevator confidence condition is required absolutely accuracy measurement technique. Therefore, this study is accomplished in order to conquer a method of depending on sense of a manager with a simple numeric measurement data, and construct a logical, analytical foresight system for more efficient elevator management system.

Elevator Pressurization in Tall Buildings

  • During a building fire, smoke can flow through elevator shafts threatening life on floors remote from the fire. Many buildings have pressurized elevators intended to prevent such smoke flow. The computer program, CONTAM, can be used to analyze the performance of pressurization smoke control systems. The design of pressurized elevators can be challenging for the following reasons: (1) often the building envelope is not capable of effectively handling the large airflow resulting from elevator pressurization, (2) open elevator doors on the ground floor tend to increase the flow from the elevator shaft at the ground floor, and (3) open exterior doors on the ground floor can cause excessive pressure differences across the elevator shaft at the ground floor. To meet these challenges, the following systems have been developed: (1) exterior vent (EV) system, (2) floor exhaust (FE) system, and ground floor lobby (GFL) system.

  • To satisfy the requirements of a stable speed control, comfortable ride and precise landing in the high-speed elevator. The induction motor driving elevator is controlled by inverter using vector control method which calculates optimum torque to apply to the Induction motor. This paper describes the control system of high-speed elevator that consists of the voltage-type PWM converter with an unity input power factor and sinusoidal input current and the voltage-type PWM inverter with a precise speed control and sinusoidal output current. The test results of actual elevator are presented.

  • With an elevator supply and demand increases, It has been enlarged various requirements for the safety of the elevator. Elevator safety requirements can be the ability to respond to emergencies quickly. Recently, QR code was attached to all elevator for the elevator safety and it is established by law for the Elevator rescue work. And also the elevator system is seeking to utilize more secure elevator with mandatory installation of CCTV and direct call devices. However, CCTV and direct call service is operating on an individual method and it has not been proposed integrated model. In this paper, we propose the safety elevator integration model with CCTV, direct call service and remote control based on smart phone. Using the proposed model, we can be improved the efficiency of maintenance and ability of prompt action in the event of a disaster.

A Study on the Wiring Control Method of Hand & Auto Operation of an Easy Elevator (간이 승강기 수·자동 배선제어방식에 관한 연구)

  • An easy learning elevator originated is opened to compare the existed teaming equipment, and it had a high studied efficiency that the sequence control circuit can open and close with the wire. The structure of equipment to be controlled from the first floor to the fifth floors is demostrated by the constructive apparatus with the lamps to express the function of the open-close of the door according to the cage moving with a mechanical actuation of the forward reverse breaker and the motor of load, and the mechanical actuation of hand-operation control components of push-button S/W and L/S and relay etc. These components let connect each other in order to control of the elevator function with the auto program and the designed sequence control circuit. Consequently the cage could go and come till 1∼5 steps with an auto program of the elevator and the sequence control circuit. The sequence control circuit is controlled by the step of forward and reverse to follow as that the sensor function of L/S1 ∼ L/S5 let posit with the control switchs of S/W1 ∼ S/W5 of PLC testing panel and switchs of S/W1 ∼ S/W5 installed on the transparent acryl plate of the frame. In here, improved apparatus is the hand-auto operation combined learning equipment to study the principle and technique of the originate sequence control circuit and the auto program of PLC.

  • Elevator system requires position and speed control at the same time recently. The control device of existing Elevator system making hardware is simplified by using micro-processor that have been developed. In this papers, it consists of contactless logic circuit using miro-processor and digital components. This paper shows that as this system control voltage and frequency using PWM inverter at the same time, speed control is accurate, acceleration and deceleration is soft and passengers can be feel comfortably because speed change is a little during driving.

  • Manufactured easy elevator can drives from the first floor to fifth floor as sequence control circuit in cause opening than existing equipment of experiment and practice, the structure of in the first implementation process are hand-worked control component with push-button, L/S and relay, it is structured a lamp to express that the door open and moving of cage by mechanical action of For/Rev motor-braker of which load. The second structure of implement process to control from the first floor to the fifth floor with the PLC elevator program can control by the sensor of hand-operated function of L/Sl~L/S5 in time that the S/Wl~S/W5 of PLC control panel operates to the For/Rev. The function of two kind process that an elevator is driven by PLC program and the sequence control relay circuit is a mechanical relay sequence control field and it is equipment apparatus of it to get appropriately the technology of For/Rev in that mechanical operating cause of a load using the PLC program. Also the wring circuit using a plug, dissembly. the circuit and the principle of component, and PLC program with the function test can be used the implementation field to the total technology theory about FA.
