승강기용 웜기어의 결함에 따른 진동 특성 (Vibration Characteristics of Worm Gear Faults for Elevators)

  • According to the survey, abnormal condition of the system is the main source for interrupting an elevator service, especially faults in worm gears used for the traction machine. Worm gear is popularly used in traction machine for middle and low speed elevators. Elevators need high reliability and stability, because they are closely related to human life. Usually, traction machine is applied to drive the elevators that have height about 35 m and it is an important mechanical unit for riding quality in elevators. There are some research results about types of vibration fault for worm gear in International Association Elevator Engineers (IAEE). But this study concerns with diagnosis of various faults in elevator worm gear using vibration signal. The analysis of fault characteristics is compared with previous researches in traction machine.

  • This paper analyzes the pitting's cause of elevator's worm gear type traction machine. To find a cause of pitting problem, we analyzed vibration, a proper design allowance and lubrication. We brought a conclusion that the cause of pitting is not a simple vibration problem, such as misalignment of worm reducer and rail, but mostly related to a designed allowance. In this case, the allowance is tight. In general, the allowance of traction machine and lubrication is varied by manufacturers. When the allowance is tight, a proper lubrication can diminish the pitting problem.

  • In this paper, the gearless traction machine drive system using a permanent-maget motor for high-speed elevators is addressed. This application of permanent-magnet motor to the elevator traction machine enables several improvements including higher efficiency, better ride comfort, smaller size and weight, and so on. PWM boost converter is also adopted so that DC-link voltage regulation, hi-directional power flow, and controllable power factor with reduced input current harmonics are possible. To increase reliability and performance, the control board, which can include the car and group controller as well as PWM converter and inverter controller, is designed based on TMS320VC33 DSP The simulator system for high-speed elevators has been developed so that the drive system of high-speed elevator can be tested without my limitation on ride distance and the load condition. Some experimental results are given to verify the effectiveness of the developed system.

A Novel Filtering Method Based on a Nonlinear Tracking Differentiator for the Speed Measurement of Direct-drive Permanent Magnet Traction Machines

  • This paper presents a novel filtering method for speed measurements to improve the low-speed performance of the direct-drive permanent magnet traction machines for elevators. Based on the theory of nonlinear tracking differentiator (NTD), this method, which can act as a high performance filter of a raw speed signal, obtains a more accurate speed feedback signal when applying a low-resolution encoder. In addition, it can relieve the interference caused by the position derivative for speed sampling. By analyzing the frequency response of the NTD, the influence of its parameters on the performance of the speed filtering is investigated. Compared with different types of low-pass filters, the proposed method shows a shorter time delay and a stronger ability in terms of noise suppression when the parameters are selected carefully. In addition, when using the measured speed signal through a nonlinear tracking differentiator as the feedback of the system, the motor runs more steadily at low speeds. As a result, the riding comfort of a direct-drive elevator can be improved. The feasibility of the proposed strategy was verified on an 11.7kW elevator traction machine using a commercial inverter.

  • This paper is concerned with the suppression of brake system noise and vibrations of the elevator traction machine by means of a solenoid control technique. The solenoid is used to hold the brake shoe, which is then released by turning the solenoid off. Since the brake shoe hits the brake disk, vibrations and noise occur. We develop the solenoid control technique based on the dynamic behavior of the solenoid. The theoretical model for the solenoid is modeled by using linear magnetic principles. The solenoid model was then combined with the vibration model to simulate the brake system vibrations. The simulation results show that the additional pulse input to the solenoid can decrease the vibrations. The timing of the applied pulse is determined by observing the current. The experimental results show that both the vibrations and noise can be substantially decreased, which validates the approach developed in this paper.

  • 최근 엘리베이터 급발진 사고로 인해 엘리베이터 시스템 안전에 대한 필요성과 관심이 더욱 집중되고 있고 또한 전통산업의 고도화를 위한 노력으로 IT융합이 다양한 분야로 확대되고 있다. 안전에 대한 개념을 위험요소를 찾아내어 그 요인을 최소화하는 것으로, 엘리베이터 설치에 대한 기준 및 관련 법규를 살펴본 뒤, 전문가의 의사결정을 통해 엘리베이터 시스템의 안전을 위협하는 요인을 확인하였다. 이용자과실 부주의 및 융합적 오류를 안전을 위협하는 요인으로 추출하여 IT융합기술을 도입한 엘리베이터 관리시스템 기술을 보안책으로 제시할 시 기대되는 효과에 대해 전문가의 의사결정을 통해 신뢰성 검증을 하고 이를 구체적 대안으로 제시한다.

  • This paper proposes a fuzzy logic based vector control for the gearless traction machine drive systems using a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The performance of the proposed Fuzzy Logic Control(FLC)-based PMSM drive are investigated and compared to those obtained from the conventional PI controll-based drive system. We have confirmed theoretically and experimentally at different dynamic operating conditions such as step change in command speed, step change in load, etc. The comparative experimental results show that the FLC is more robust and, hence, found to be a suitable replacement of the conventional Pl controller for the high-performance elevator drive system.

  • 본 논문에서는 영구 자석형 동기 전동기를 이용한 고속 엘리베이터 시스템 용 무기어식 구동 시스템의 개발 사례를 소개한다. 엘리베이터 구동원으로서 영구 자석형 동기 전동기의 채택은 에너지 절약, 승차감 향상, 기계실의 하중 부담 감소 및 효율적인 공간 활용 등의여러 장점을 지닌다. 전력 변환 장치로는 기존의 다이오드 정류기와 제동 저항 대신 직류단 전압 제어 회생 운전 그리고 낮은 고조파 함유율이 역률 1 제어가 가능한 승압형 PWM 컴버터를 채택하였다. 제어 시스템은 고속 대용량의 단일 DSP를 사용하여 통합형 제어 시스템을 구축함으로써 전체 제어 시스템의 신뢰성 및 성능을 크게 향상시켰다. 시험 장치로는 고속 엘리베이터용 부사 시뮬레이터 시스템을 개발하여 운전 거리에 대한 제약 없이 구동 시스템의 다양한 시험이 가능해졌다.
