  • Rapid development of Information Technology(IT) requires new changes in overall official sections, and government also makes effort to promote the productivity and efficiency of official sections with IT. Objectives of this research are to evaluate the management of Electronic Approval System and to present the efficient way of using Electronic Approval System. In this research, we presented that the efficient use of Electronic Approval System requires systematic education, improvement of approval procedure, stability of system, improvement of system operation speed and connection with other official department.

  • In this study, we propose a new multi-party electronic approval system. We classified and analyzed several existing electronic approval systems which use the multisignature method. Based on the analysis, we developed a new multisignature method and then applied it to several existing electronic approval systems. By comparing various aspects of the new and the conventional methods, we were able to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The new method is based discrete logarithm so that it lowers the complexity requirement involved in electronic communication and rises the ability requirement, hence makes itself suitable to general electronic approval systems.

  • There are gradually built on electronic commerce and business information system for the effective and automated use of internet while the mainstream of industry moves on information. It is necessary that a company should develop a electronic approval system because the business documents have application to an electronic commerce, business information system as well Currently, electronic approval system on groupware is using the way of inserting the image of an approval signature, which is vulnerable on a security by attacks of fraudulent use of electrical signature and eavesdropping on electronic documents. In this paper, we implementation XML form generator based on DTD having business documents structure for creating a valid business XML documents. we designed electronic approval system based on secured XML which transfers encrypted documents. For the security issues of written XML business documents, it makes use of the crypto algorithm having high performance transaction by the interchange of public key between a server and a client.

  • The most important factors of Electronic approval system of battle management system are availability and reliability. Therefore, the electronic approval system uses a SAN(storage area network) to construct the reliable server and storage. In this paper, we analyze the security vulnerabilities of the SAN storage that stores the critical military information in the electronic approval system of battle management system. Based on the analysis, we verify the possibility of information leakage by the inside attackers through the scenario-based experiment. And we finally propose a new storage encryption algorithm on the basis of user's role that can prevent the leakage of information by the inside attackers.

  • This paper is to develop a security module for electronic approval systems. Electronic documents are created, transmitted and saved in the company's intranet computer network. Transmitting electronic documents, however, brings us a security problem. Communications among various computer systems are exposed to many security threats. Those threats are eavesdropping, repudiation, replay back etc. The main purpose of this paper is to develop a module which provides the security of electronic documents while they are passed from one place to another This paper applies Multi-Level security to the electronic approval system that guarantees security of electronic documents from many threats. Multi-Level security controls the access to the documents by granting security level to subject users and object electronic documents. To prevent possible replay back attacks, this paper also uses one time password to the system. The security module is composed of client program and server one. The module was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. The code uses Richard Bondi's WCCO(Wiley CryptoAPI COM Objects) library functions which enables Visual Basic to access Microsoft CryptoAPI.

  • Electronic navigation system onboard have have been developed with recent technology based on new concept such as electronic chart date. The most valuable system of revolution in electronic navigation equipment is ECDIS, which have been developed in order to reduce work load of mariner and give an integrated information by simple means, especially to improve the safety of ship's navigation. In order to be sure the function of ECDIS is satisfied, The international standard have regulated the performance in the standard, so ECDIS should be type approved by the marine equipment authority of each government. There are three basic documents, IEC61174, IEC61162, IEC60945 issued by IMO(International Maritime Organization) which should be used for type approval system of each authority. IEC 61174 include the method of test and required results for operational and functional performance of test equipment. IEC61162 is for sensor interface and IEC60945 is related to the test of environmental condition for general marine radiocommunication equipment. In this paper, we investigate international standard in detail and current approval system of general marine equipment. After that, we present the possible structure of type approval of ECDIS and important considerations of approval system such that ECDIS should be tested as one system not be separated between S/W and H/W.

  • The Evolution of Workflow Managment consists of rhe automation of business procedures or "workflows" during which documents, information or tasks are passed from one participant to another in a way that is governed by rules or procedures. Workflow technologies have evolved from image management system, document management system, relational or object database systems, and electronic mail system. Workflow Management system has the benefits to improve better efficiency, process control,flexibility, business process. Automation of many business processes results in the elimination standdardizing working methods. Consistency in the processes leads to greater predictability in levels of response to customers and software control over processes enables their re-design in line with changing business needs, In this present study, we implement Electronic Approval System which is a kind of Workflow Management system using static and dynamic flow control information on the web environment.

  • As our society turns into the information age from the industrial one, the ministry of information and communication has set up functional software standards for electronic approval systems Several software houses have developed such systems in the client/server environment and subsequently for the intranet. Although electronic approval systems for the intranet have the advantages of less costly implementation and ease of use, they create heavy network traffic, and have a poor document processing functionality resulting from the lack of document processor in web environments. This paper describes a system design that web browsers utilize the resources of clients by adopting the ActiveX technique in order to improve such mallets mentions above. In other words, to use the Hangul word processor as a document processor, the ActiveX control and the Hangul DDE API have been implemented in the form of the DDE server/client, which is capable of mutual communication, and the flow of electronic approve system has been controled by connecting. As a result of running the implemented system lot three months through a real company in multi-server environment, it shows the high usage of electronic approval system as the tate roaches 75%-93% for some departments.

In spite of to be integrate and concise form of document through computer network, signature of document with hand have processed as ever. The security on document flow out severely unjust by reason of increment inverse function of computer. Because of revelation secret of enterprise result from unjust outflow, lots of loss of self-enterprise is occured. In this paper, we used efficiently document using the method, electronic approval system with encryption, for the resolving above problems. Also we persue maintenance of security for the important document and process document signature rapidly. Finally, we design and implementation of electronic approval system that take one's share of function between server and client using to be transformed Vernam's encryption technique in stored document.

  • This paper is to analyze business activities of approval/permission (A/P) and to describe its problems. To conduct the A/P business activities currently, there are many problems such as complex business process and different business policies among the each organization. In order to solve the problems, this paper suggests the A/P system of highway construction CALS (Commerce at Light Speed). CALS, a top down vision of complete computing integration, promises to support electronic data exchange. The A/P system is designed to classified documents based on CALS standard and store them to database. The data register to the A/P system by the Internet, and each construction company can use the A/P system by Internet also. Benefits of the A/P system is reduction in junk documents for approval/permission actives, improvement in conduct and services life cycle support.
