This paper demonstrates that a modified hybrid neural-genetic multimodel parameter estimation algorithm can be applied to structured system identification of an electro-hydraulic servo system. This algorithm is consists of a recurrent incremental credit assignment(ICRA) neural network and a genetic algorithm. The ICRA neural network evaluates each member of a generation of model and genetic algorithm produces new generation of model. Uninterrupted power supply has become indispensable during the maintenance task of active electric power lines as a result of today's highly information-oriented society and increasing demand of electric utilities. This maintenance task has the risk of electric shock and the danger of falling from high place. Therefore it is necessary to realize an autonomous robot system using electro-hydraulic manipulators because hydraulic manipulators have the advantage of electric insulation and power/mass density. Meanwhile an electro-hydraulic manipulator using hydraulic actuators has many nonlinear elements, and its parameter fluctuations are greater than those of an electrically driven manipulator. So it is relatively difficult to realize not only stable contact work but also accurate force control for the autonomous assembly tasks using hydraulic manipulators. In this paper, the robust force control of a 6-link electro-hydraulic manipulator system used in the real maintenance task of active electric lines is examined in detail. A nominal model for the system is obtained from experimental frequency responses of the system, and the deviation of the manipulator system from the nominal model is derived by a multiplicative uncertainty. Robust disturbance observers for force control are designed using this information in an H$\_$$\infty$/ framework, and implemented on the two different setups. Experimental results show that highly robust force tracking by a 6-link electro-hydraulic manipulator could be achieved even if the stiffness of environment and the shape of wall change.
The electro-hydraulic training device (TP511) provided by Festo Didactic are widely used, but teaching materials do not include mathematical modeling. Thus, there is a limit for full-scale learning about the electro-hydraulic servo system by using this equipment. In this study, for the purpose of improving students' understanding of the classical control and modern control Festo's electro-hydraulic servo training device (TP511) was mathematically modeled and parameter values were calculated by examining the characteristics of each component. And P, PI, PD, and PID controllers highly used in the industrial field, were designed by using the root locus method to achieve the optimal gains and used for simulation and experiments using the Festo's electro-hydraulic servo training apparatus. The validity of the derived mathematical model and the calculated parameter values were verified through simulation and experiment. It was found that the p control can achieve the control target more effectively than the pid control for Festo's electro-hydraulic servo training system by using the root locus method.
Hydraulic systems are essential for most of the construction equipments due to their various advantages, such as very powerful, quick response speed, precision control and remote control. Moreover, they are necessary to apply the electro hydraulic systems for precise and remote controls. Operating the small electronic joystick of the remote controller for the control of a multipurpose work machine with remote control technology increases the possibility of a sudden operation compared to the use of a conventional hydraulic joystick. When a joystick is suddenly operated, the peak pressure is generated in the system due to the quick response of the system. Then a vibration is generated due to the peak pressure, which causes instability to the operation of the construction equipment. Therefore, in this study, we confirmed the level of reduction of peak pressure occurring in the electro hydraulic system by using AMESim, when the output signal of the step shape generated by the sudden operation of the electronic joystick was changed by using the convolution operation.

The propulsion marine diesel engine have been widely applied with a mechanical- hydraulic governor to control the ship speed for long time. But it was recently very difficult for the mechani¬cal - hydraulic governor to control the speed of engine under the condition of low speed and low load because of jiggling by rough fluctuation of rotating torque and hunting by dead time of Desiel engnie The performance improvement of mechanical - hydraulic governor is required to solve these problems of control system. The electro - hydraulic governor using PID algorithm is provided to compensate the faults of mechanical- hydraulic governor. In this paper, in order to analyze the ship speed control system, the transfer function was converted from the z tansformation to w transformation. The influence of dead time changing by engine speed which induces hunting phenomena was investigated by Nichols chart of w plane. As a method of performance improvement of mechanical hydraulic governor, a Eletro - hydraulic governor shows that fine control results can be obtained through optimal parameter tuning of PID
Today, hydraulic systems play an important role in modern industry for the reasons that hydraulic actuator systems take many advantages over other technologies with high durability and the ability to produce large forces at high speeds. In recent years, electro-hydraulic actuator systems, which combine electric and hydraulic technology into a compact unit, have been adapted to a wide variety of force, speed and torque requirements. Moreover these systems resolve energy consumption and noise problems characteristic existed in the conventional hydraulic systems. Therefore, these systems have a wide range application fields especially in an excavator. So the purpose of this paper is to demonstrate efficiency of the energy saving and present some control algorithms which apply to electro-hydraulic actuator system in the bucket of the excavator. Experiments are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed system with various external loads as in real working conditions.
The objective of this paper is to design the variable structure system(VSS) controller for the tracking control of excavator which is driven by electro-hydraulic servomechansim. It is generally agreed that the dynamic characteristics of the robot arm such as excavator are coupled, time varying, and highly nonlinear, and also hydraulic system contains nonlinear characteristics in itself, so performing exact position control and trajectory tracking control need remarkable consideration. To solve this porblem, this system was designed as a variable structure system. The salient feature of VSS is that the sliding mode occur on a switching surface. While in sliding mode, the system remains insensitive to parameter variations and disturbances. This control algorithm was applied to a hydraulic excavator by simulaltion and to a simulator by experiment. And its effectiveness was verified. And the results of VSS for the electro-hydraulic excavator was compared with that of the PID when load disturbances and system parameter variations exist.
This study deals with controlling the velocity of Electr-Hydraulic servo system through the non-stan-dard PIC control. This was done as follows. First, we modeled nonlinearised model and linearised model, second designed analytic program for electro-hydraulic servo system velocity control Lastly, to im- prove dynamic characteristics of system we designed non-standard PID contoller and verifed throughth experi- ment and MATLAB program, commercial used software.
Hydraulic servo system has the characteristic of high power in itself, as combining its characteristics with excellent electro equipment that comes from the development of electronics, electro-hydraulic servo system is widely used in industry that are requested high precision and power Electro-hydraulic servo system is characteristic of very strong non-linearity in itself and it is mainly applied the field of the inner or outer fluctuating load or disturbance in industry. Evolutionary computation based on the natural evolutionary process may solve many engineering problems. Algorithms can represent the natural selection in crossovers, mutations, production of the offspring, selection, etc. Nature has already shown is the superiority through ...
