스마트카드 기반의 전력원격검침 프레임워크 (Smart Card based Framework for Electricity AMR)

  • 전력검침은 전력 사용요금을 부과하기 위하여 전력사용량을 측정하는 행위를 말하며, 이를 자동화한 시스템을 전력원격검침(AMR: Automatic Meter Reading)이라 한다. 전력원격검침은 검침 인력을 시스템으로 대체해 원가를 줄이고 고객 서비스를 강화할 수 있는 시스템으로 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 전력원격검침 모델의 대안으로 스마트카드 기반의 전력원격검침 프레임워크 SCEMS를 제안하고 구현하였다. 제안된 SCEMS 프레임워크는 자바카드 기반의 다기능 스마트카드를 사용하며, 스마트카드에 수집된 자료와 가구의 전력사용 패턴을 활용하여 다양한 요금제를 지원하는 등의 고객서비스를 제공한다. 제안된 원격검침 모델 연구는 전력산업의 환경변화에서 초래할 다원화, 이질화, 복합화에 대한 해결방안이 될 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

Feasibility of using biogas in a micro turbine for supplying heating, cooling and electricity for a small rural building

  • In this study, the use of a micro gas turbine system using biogas to supply heating, cooling and electricity loads of a rural building located in rural area around Tehran has been studied. Initially, the amount of energy needed by the farmhouse was calculated and then the number of needed microturbines was determined. Accordingly, the amount of substances entering biogas digester as well as tank volume were determined. The results of this study showed that village house loads including electrical, heating and cooling and hot water loads can be supplied by using a microturbine with a nominal power of 30 kW and $33.5m^3/day$ of biogas. Digester tank and reservoir tank volumes are $67m^3$ and $31.2m^3$, respectively. The cost of electricity produced by this system is 0.446 US$/kWh. For rural area in Iran, this system is not compatible with micro gas turbine and IC engine system use urban natural gas due to low price of natural gas in Iran, but it can be compatible by wind turbine, photovoltaic and hybrid system (wind turbine& photovoltaic) systems.

수도권 지역난방연계 열병합발전소의 기반기금 지원과 개선방안 (A Study on the Improvement of Subsidy Program for CHP Plant Connected with Capital Region District Heating System)

  • CHP system supplies electricity and heating together with high efficiency. Current utility's CHP system uses electric power by itself and sells thermal energy to KDHC(Korea District Heating Corporation). CHP's operation cost except sales revenue of heating was covered by the sale revenue of electricity. Thus Electric generation cost in district Heating CHP system has close relationship with the level of heating price. However, after the restructuring of electricity industry, the operation cost could not be covered by sales revenue of heating and electricity. This loss was compensated by energy subsidy program in the electric power industry infrastructure fund. This paper suggests reasonable evaluation and improvement methods of the loss calculation of CHP system utilizing the infrastructure fund efficiency In terms of the direction of support by the fund, it provides the methods to prevent inefficient operation through setting up the upper limit of subsidy and to improve the loss calculation. Moreover, it suggest fixed rate support by heating supply level and reducing subsidy gradually for an efficient operation of CHP system.

  • Most decision makers in the electricity industry plan their electric power expansion program by considering only a least cost operation, even when circumstances change with differing complexities. It is necessary, however, to analyze a long-term power expansion plan from various points of view, such as environmental friendliness, benefit of a carbon reduction, and system reliability, as well as least cost operation. The objective and approach of this study is to analyze the proper role of nuclear power in a long-term expansion plan by comparing different scenarios in terms of the system cost changes, $CO_2$ emission reduction, and system reliability in relation to the Business-As-Usual (BAU). The conclusion of this paper makes it clear that the Korean government cannot but expand the nationwide nuclear power program, because an increased energy demand is inevitable and other energy resources will not provide an adequate solution from an economic and sustainability point of view. The results of this analysis will help the Korean government in its long-term resource planning of what kinds of role each electric resource can play in terms of a triangular dilemma involving economics, environmental friendliness, and a stable supply of electricity.

  • For electricity markets to function in a truly competitive and efficient manner, it is not enough to focus solely on improving the efficiencies of power supply. To recognize price-responsive load as a reliability resource, the customer must be provided with price signals and an instrument to respond to these signals, preferably automatically. This paper attempts to develop the Windows-based load management system in competitive electricity markets, allowing the user to monitor the current energy consumption or billing information, to analyze the historical data, and to implement the consumption strategy for cost savings with nine possible scenarios adopted. Finally, this modeling framework will serve as a template containing the basic concepts that any load management system should address.

3상 전동기 결상시 무정전 전원공급장치에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Uninterruptible Power Supply on the Open Phase of Three-phase Motor)

  • In case of using three-phase induction motor in three-phase power system, if he deficiency happens in phase among three-phase, the motor will drive in an open phase state. As to the motor, the continuing operation is possible then, but the phenomenon that the power supply stops happening by the result of the overload electricity order on the healthy phase of two phases with a damage and activating the circuit breaker. Consequently, in order to overcome this problem in treatise accordingly. I propose an uninterruptible power supply which is able to prevent that the over current on the health phase through the restoration that in case happening open phase on the power line when driving the motor. Also, it is possible to supply power consecutively without interruption of electric power and we proved the performance and reliability through an experiment.

  • According as level of industry develops day after day, electricity load system of industry requires high level control, effectiveness and high efficiency. Among supply and control unit of suitable power supply in these load characteristic, inverter systems of constant current regulate is used widely control of lighting and electric heating system. But, problems that power factor deterioration and fast response of control, efficiency, harmonics and etc are still remain. Therefore, in this paper proposed an inverter systems with constant current regulation and power factor correction (PFC) circuit for lighting and beaconing of aerodromes. The effectiveness of the proposed system confirmed through experimental results of 10[kW] power supply system.

법령으로 살펴본 북한의 상수도 체계 (The North Korea water supply system investigated using laws and regulations)

  • This study has been conducted to investigate the North Korea water supply system. For this purpose, laws and regulations concerning the North Korea water utilities were analyzed. According to this study, the water supply system of North Korea is similar to that of South Korea. The major difference between these two systems lies in the national water supplier: South Korea has the national water supplier as well as the municipal suppliers, while there is no national water supplier in North Korea. It is noted that the North Korean water utilities depend on outside suppliers for resources necessary for water production such as electricity, chemicals, spare parts, etc. This could damage the North Korean water utilities. If required resources were not delivered properly (deficient quantity and/or at delayed timing), the water suppliers would encounter difficulties in water production.

국내 계약종별 전기요금 체계의 가격신호 회복에 따른 환경편익 분석 (An Analysis of the Environmental Benefits of the Price Signal Recovery under the Current Electricity Tariff in Korea)

  • 국내 전기요금 체계는 연료비 인상 등 원가 변동에 연계될 수 있는 제도적 근거가 마련되어 있음에도 물가상승 등 국민경제적 부담 등을 고려해 적기에 인상되지 못하는 상황이 발생하고 있다. 이처럼 전기요금이 정상적으로 조정되지 않음에 따라 우리나라 전기요금은 전 세계적으로 낮은 수준을 기록하고 있으며, 가격신호 전달 기능을 상실해 비효율적인 전력소비가 발생하는 문제점이 있다. 본 연구는 2017~2020년 연료비와 발전원별 발전량 등 실적 자료를 바탕으로 계약종별 전력의 공급원가(총괄원가) 수준을 추산하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 2030년 전기요금이 조정되어 가격신호 왜곡 문제가 해소될 경우 전력소비가 얼마나 변화하는지를 추정해 보았다. 추정 결과 전기요금이 공급원가(총괄원가)를 모두 회수할 수 있는 수준으로 조정된다면 전력소비는 9,000GWh 가량 절감될 것으로 나타났다. 이는 발전 부문의 온실가스 배출량을 약 3.82백만CO2ton 감축시키는 효과로 이어졌다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 에너지 절감 및 온실가스 감축을 위해 수도사업장에 도입된 펌프 스케쥴링 시스템의 온실가스 감축 효과를 객관적으로 분석하는데 있다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위해서 온실가스 감축량 산정시 CDM 방법론 AMS-II.C/Version 13을 적용하였다. 베이스라인과 프로젝트 배출량을 산정하기 위해 사업 전후의 유량, 흡수정과 써지탱크의 수위 차, 전력량 데이터를 이용하였다. 감축량 산정의 정확성을 높이기 위해 펌프 운영과 연관성이 적은 소내 소비 전력과 계통손실도 고려하여 계산하였다. 본 연구에서 적용된 방법론과 계산식은 수도사업장에서 온실가스 감축을 위해 적용되는 타 기술의 감축량 산정 시에도 일정 부분 적용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.
