A Study on the Korea DC Distribution system topologies and its fault characteristics (국내형 직류 배전시스템 제안 및 고장특성 분석)

  • In this paper, a configurable DC distributiong system is being proposed considering national power systems conditions and a comparative analysis of the transient response of the contingencies is performed with the conventional AC systems. DC systems are evaluated as a promising next-generation distribution system that provides reliable operation through high efficiency of energy use and converter control. This paper discusses about the required elements for the national DC distribution system and has analysed the fault characteristics of the AC and DC distribution systems using PSCAD/EMTDC. According to the simulation results, the DC system has improved response, due to the DC/DC converter's charging/discharging characteristics, in terms of voltage and power system characteristics when compared to AC systems.

  • 스마트그리드 환경하에서 플러그인 전기 자동차(PEV)는 새로운 도전이자 과제이다. 전 세계적으로 전기 자동차에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 PEV가 전력망에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 LA사업자(Load Aggregator)는 소비자들의 부하를 통합적으로 관리하여 에너지 비용을 최소화하며 인센티브 지급을 통한 V2G 서비스를 사용하여 피크 삭감을 유도한다. PEV 운영 비용 최소화와 부하 평탄화를 목적으로 하는 LA사업자에 의한 PEV 충전 부하 관리의 잠재적인 이점들을 평가하며, 최적 충전 제어 방식을 위하여 하루전 시장에서 충전 부하와 V2G 가능 용량을 예측하고 PEV 배터리를 분석하여 모델링하는 방법을 제시하였다. 사례연구에서는 다음의 세 가지 PEV 충전 시나리오 즉, 제어되지 않는 시나리오(퇴근 후 충전), TOU 요금제를 적용한 시나리오와 최적 충전 제어 시나리오에 대해 에너지 비용과 피크 수요 감축 측면에서 비교 평가하였다. 이는 향후 증가하는 PEV로 인한 계통의 경제성 평가 및 신뢰도 평가로 사용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • The static charges generated at the interface between the insulating oil and the solid materials, can be affected by impurities such as moisture. This paper investigated the charging tendency of clean oil and the oil with moisture in stainless steel pipe. The experimental results show that static electrification of the oil with moisture is smaller than that of the clean oil, and the oil is positively charged.

  • Wind power is one of most promising renewable energy. The output capacity of large wind turbine has been increased for off-shore application. Number of installation of small wind turbine also has been increased for the stand-alone and off-grid application of remote area and recently small wind turbine equipped with lamp on the pole is used for street lamp. Maximum wind energy must be extracted by wind turbine within rated wind speed. Power must be controlled to protect the system such as blade, generator, and power system above the rated wind speed. In this paper, small wind power system of 800W rating for battery charging is implemented and output power control by furling system is verified at wind tunnel test.

  • 본 논문에서는 PHEV와 EV의 보급 확대에 따른 충전 시스템 사용자 혹은 관리자의 사고 방지 및 효율적인 충전 시스템의 운용을 위해서 차량내 배터리와 충전 시스템의 상태를 모니터링 할 수 있는 충전 모니터링 시스템의 구조와 충전 프로세스 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 충전 모니터링 장치는 유/무선 통신기술을 적용하여 차량을 식별함으로써 효율적인 차량 관리 및 충전 시스템 운용이 가능하며 충전 시스템 내의 정보 교환, 충전 동작/정지 제어 등을 위한 차량과의 인터페이스 기술과 통신 프로토콜 등 다양한 기능이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 충전 모니터링 장치용 제어기와 충전 전력량 및 상태 표시가 가능한 충전 모니터링 장치와 충전 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • 이 논문은 MW-MVAr mile 법에 의한 요금제를 배전계통에 대하여 적용하며, 배전손실에 의한 비용과의 비교를 목표로 하였다. 특히 분산전원이 배전계통에 투입되는 경우에 있어서 투입되는 부하점에 따라 배전 손실 내지 배전요금이 변할 수 있음을 확인하였고, 배전손실이 최소가 되는 지점과 배전요금이 최저가 되는 지점이 반드시 일치하지는 않음을 알 수 있었다. 8모선의 배전계통에서 시뮬레이션이 이루어졌으며, 각 배전선로 별로 임피던스, 길이, 용량, 연간 필요 수입액등을 정하였다. 논의의 간소화를 위하여 분산전원은 상시 정격 출력하는 것으로 가정하였다.

  • A novel voltage sag compensator with hi-directional DC/DC converter of Electric double layer capacitor is proposed. Recently, the double-layer capacitor which is drawn attention as a new energy storage element has a lot of advantage such as no maintenance, long lifetime and quick charge/discharge characteristics with large current. This DC/DC converter is used to control the charging current to the double-layer capacitor and also used to keep the DC link voltage constant for discharge of the double-layer capacitor. Therefore, the proposed DC/DC converter has the high-efficiency controller, dynamic compensator of voltage sag is driven by this converter. Finally, experimental results show the validity of the control scheme and the ability of the dynamic voltage compensator.

  • In this paper, the paralleled forward converter, that is generally used as the power supply for the low voltage, high current load, is described. The proposed forward converter for battery charging could be provided the power without failure not only in steady state but also in the transient period by the step load variation or the unexpected faults among the converter modules. Each converter nodule designed is operated alone with the self closed controller for the elevation of stability, performance, reliability, and maintainability. The frequency response of the designed converter module is analyzed, and the stability is confirmed in analytic method. And the experiments of the paralleled battery charger are carried out in steady state, in the step load variation.

  • The system start-up function of TDX-1A that should be executed during installation or emergency has been designed to meet requirements of the distributed real time control system. It is performed in a centralized manner by the dedicated processor according to the maintenance and administration mechanism of the system. Upon execution, it provides information on the system state for the ESS personal. In additions, it protects the loss the charging and statistics data, and minimizes the effect on the customer service. This paper describes the design concept of the system startup function and its implementation method and also calculates its the execution time.

  • It is usual to operate the long transmission line with transposition of each phase in order to avoid voltage unbalance due to unbalanced capacitances at each phase of the line end. This paper described the Ferranti voltage rise of line end, charging current and secondary arc current according to the transposition of line or not. The positive and negative sequence current was derived by the phase current, and then the unbalanced rate was calculated. Then, we obtained the reclosing dead time of the single phase reclosing scheme for 500 kV single circuit horizontal arrangement transmission line system.
