방전 플라스마에 의한 CFC-12($CCl_2F_2$)의 분해 (Decomposition of CFC-12($CCl_2F_2$) by Discharge Plasma)

  • Decomposition efficiency, power consumption, and applied voltage of CFC(Chlorofluorocatbon) were investigated by SPCP(surface induced discharge plasma chemical processing) reactor to obtain optimum process variables and maximum decomposition efficiencies. Decomposition efficiency of CFC-12 with various electric frequencies(5~50kHz). flow rates (100~1,000mL/min), initial concentrations(100~1,000ppm), electrode materials(W, Cu, Al). electrode thickness(1, 2, 3mm) and reference gases($N_2$, $O_2$, air) were measured and the products were analyzed with FT-IR. Experimental results showed that at the frequency of 10kHz, the highest decomposition efficiency of 92.7% for CFC-12 were observed at the power consumptions of 29.6W. respectively, and that decomposition efficiency decreased with increasing frequency above 20kHz and decomposition efficiency per unit power were 3.13%/W for CFC-12. Decomposition efficiency was increased with increasing residence times and with decreasing initial concentration of pollutants. Decomposition efficiency was increased with increasing thickness of discharge electrode and the highest decomposition efficiency was obtained for the electrode diameter of 3m. As the electrode material, decomposition efficiency was in order that tungsten(W), copper(Cu), aluminum (Al). Decomposition of CFC-12 in the reference gas of $N_2$ showed the highest efficiency among three reference gases, and then the effect of reference gas on the decomposition efficiency decreased in order of air and $O_2$. The optimum power for the maximum decomposition efficiency was 25.3W for CFC.

영역분할법을 이용한 2차원 유한차분 시간영역법 해석 (2D Finite Difference Time Domain Method Using the Domain Decomposition Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 영역분할법을 이용한 2차원 유한차분시간영역법을 제안하였다. 영역분할법은 전체 해석구조를 분할하여 해석하는 수치해석방법으로 본 논문에서는 영역분할법 중 Schur complement 방법을 적용한 유한차분 시간영역법을 구현하고 시뮬레이션 모델로 2차원 해석구조를 설정하고 사각형의 도체에 입사하는 전자파의 산란특성을 해석하였다. 2차원 해석구조를 4개의 영역과 8개의 영역으로 각각 나누어 전자파특성을 계산하였고, 제안한 해석방법의 유효함을 입증하기 위해 일반적인 전체영역에 대한 2차원 유한차분 시간영역법의 해석결과와 비교하여 잘 일치하는 것을 확인하였다.

A Singular Value Decomposition based Space Vector Modulation to Reduce the Output Common-Mode Voltage of Direct Matrix Converters

  • Large magnitude common-mode voltage (CMV) and its variation dv/dt have an adverse effect on motor drives that leads to early winding failure and bearing deterioration. For matrix converters, the switch states that connect each output line to a different input phase result in the lowest CMV among all of the valid switch states. To reduce the output CMV for matrix converters, this paper presents a new space vector modulation (SVM) strategy by utilizing these switch states. By this mean, the peak value and the root mean square of the CMV are dramatically decreased. In comparison with the conventional SVM methods this strategy has a similar computation overhead. Experiment results are shown to validate the effectiveness of the proposed modulation method.

  • 유도 결합 플라즈마를 활용하여 $Ar/CO_2$ 혼합가스에서 이산화탄소를 분해하는 연구이다. 고밀도 플라즈마를 발생시키기 위해 Ar 가스를 첨가하였고 이산화탄소 분해율을 측정하기 위해 광학적 광량 측정법을 사용 하였다. 유도 결합 플라즈마를 방전시키고 인가 전력, 압력, 혼합가스 비율을 변경하가며 단일 랭뮤어 프로브를 이용해 플라즈마 변수를 얻고 방출 분광기로 얻은 빛의 스펙트럼을 이용하여 분해율을 측정하였다. 측정된 플라즈마 변수로부터 $CO_2$ 유도 결합 플라즈마의 소스 특성을 확인했고 $CO_2$ 분해 메커니즘은 플라즈마 변수에 직접적인 영향을 받기 때문에 그 상관관계를 분석하였다.

전극의 전기분해 용출을 통한 해성점토의 개량에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of Marine Clay through the Leaching Effect of Electrolyte Reaction in Electrode)

  • 본 연구에서는 해성점토의 전단강도를 증진시킬 목적으로 철과 알루미늄 전극을 직접 삽입한 후 전극을 분해하여 지반 고결화 효과를 유발하였다. 이를 위해 남해안에서 채취한 실제 해성점토에 대해 실내 토조를 이용한 파일럿 실험을 실시하였고, 각각 철과 알루미늄을 삽입한 후 일정 고전류(2.5A)를 적용시켰다. 고결화에 의한 영향을 파악하고자 실험 종료 후에는 콘관입시험기를 이용하여 비배수 전단강도를 측정하였으며, 위치별 함수비와 pH 및 전기전도도를 측정하여 철과 알루미늄의 전극분해에 의한 고결화 효과를 간접적으로 판단하였다. 철 전극 전기분해 실험 결과, 양(+)극부 근처에서의 함수비는 초기에 비해 35% 감소하였고, 음극부 근처에서는 13% 증가하였으나, 양극부에서 용출된 철 이온과 흙 입자의 고결화 작용에 의해 전체적으로 측정된 전단강도는 초기에 비해 상당히 증가하였다. 또한 알루미늄 전극을 이용하였을 경우, 철에 비해 비교적 균일한 전단강도 증진효과가 나타났으며, 그 개량정도 역시 더 크게 나타났다.

CFC-113의 촉매분해에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Decomposition of CFC-113 by Catalyst)

  • The experiment for decomposing CFF-113 by a honeycomb catalyst was carried out in this study. Benzene and water were used as decomposing agents. The reaction of decomposition was from 600 .deg.C to 900.deg.C. Benzene was injected at 900.deg.C and then the catalyst was heated to 1100.deg.C by the heat of combustion of it. The electric power of the reactor was turned off when the combustion was started. The reaction temperature, however, was main trained and the decomposition of CFC-113 continued at that time. It was found that the highest decomposition efficiency was 80% at the ratio of benzene/CFC-113 of 20/1 in this experiment.

Development of a New-type Apparatus Decomposing Volatile Organic Compounds using a Combination System of an Electrical Exothermic SiC Honeycomb and a Catalytic Filter

  • A new-type apparatus decomposing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using a combination system of an electrical exothermic SiC honeycomb and a catalytic filter was developed. This linear combination system is very useful to the catalytic decomposition of VOCs, because the gas involving VOCs is well heated in the SiC honeycomb and then flows into the catalytic filter. In the proposed apparatus, the outlet gas temperatures of SiC honeycomb maintained at ca. $300^{\circ}C$ after 5 min from the starting of applying electric current, and sufficient for the catalytic degradation of VOC components, i.e. toluene, isopropanol, methyl ethyl ketone and ethyl acetate. The average decomposition rate of total VOCs exhausted from a printing factory was 85% using pt catalyst at SV=19,000 in this system.

기상 합성 TiO2 나노입자의 특성 및 광촉매 특성 (Characteristics and Photocatalytic Properties of TiO2 Nanoparticles Synthesized by Thermal Decomposition Process)

  • The generation of $TiO_2$ nanoparticles by a thermal decomposition of titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP) was carried out experimentally using a tubular electric furnace at various synthesis temperatures (700, 900, 1100 and $1300^{\circ}C$) and precursor heating temperatures (80, 95 and $110^{\circ}C$). Effects of degree of crystallinity, surface area and anatase mass fraction of those $TiO_2$ nanoparticles on photocatalytic properties such as decomposition of methylene blue was investigated. Results show that the primary particle diameter obtained from thermal decomposition of TTIP was considerably smaller than the commercial photocatalyst (Degussa, P25). Also, those specific surface areas were more than 134.4 $m^2$/g. Resultant $TiO_2$ nanoparticles showed improved photocatalytic activity compared with Deggusa P25. This is contributed to the higher degree of crystallinity, surface area and anatase mass fraction of $TiO_2$ nanoparticles compared with P25.

Dynamic Synchronous Phasor Measurement Algorithm Based on Compressed Sensing

  • The synchronous phasor measurement algorithm is the core content of the phasor measurement unit. This manuscript proposes a dynamic synchronous phasor measurement algorithm based on compressed sensing theory. First, a dynamic signal model based on the Taylor series was established. The dynamic power signal was preprocessed using a least mean square error adaptive filter to eliminate interference from noise and harmonic components. A Chirplet overcomplete dictionary was then designed to realize a sparse representation. A reduction of the signal dimension was next achieved using a Gaussian observation matrix. Finally, the improved orthogonal matching pursuit algorithm was used to realize the sparse decomposition of the signal to be detected, the amplitude and phase of the original power signal were estimated according to the best matching atomic parameters, and the total vector error index was used for an error evaluation. Chroma 61511 was used for the output of various signals, the simulation results of which show that the proposed algorithm cannot only effectively filter out interference signals, it also achieves a better dynamic response performance and stability compared with a traditional DFT algorithm and the improved DFT synchronous phasor measurement algorithm, and the phasor measurement accuracy of the signal is greatly improved. In practical applications, the hardware costs of the system can be further reduced.

  • 일반적으로 대형구조물의 건전성평가에 있어 중요한 인자인 변위를 추정함으로써 구조물의 성능 저하 및 노후도를 판단하는 근거가 된다. 그러나 변위응답의 계측이 중요함에도 불구하고 계측 방법의 부재로 말미암아 현수교와 같은 대형구조물의 변위응답을 측정하는 방법이 용이치 않은 것이 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 변형률신호로부터 변위응답을 추정하는 방법인 모드분해기법을 제시하였다. 모드분해기법은 등가정적 변위응답과 구조물의 주요거동을 나타내는 저차모드의 변위응답을 합하여 최종변위응답을 추정하는 방법이다. 변형률신호의 계측시 전기저항식 변형률센서를 사용할 경우 전기적 노이즈 문제가 발생할 소지가 크며, 측점이 많아질수록 경제적 부담감이 커진다. 이런 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 전기적 노이즈의 영향이 없고 다중측정이 가능한 광섬유 브래그 격자 센서를 사용하였다. 현수교와 플레이트거더교의 동재하실험을 통하여 모드분해기법의 사용성을 검토하였다.
