인천국제공항철도 통근형 차량의 주행안전성 평가 (Estimation of Running Safety of Electric Multiple Unit for Commute use in Incheon International Airport Railway)

  • For the safety of railway, it should be evaluated for the running safety by measuring the derailment coefficient. Although railway has run the fixed and maintained rail, some of railway is derailed. This report shows the results that performed the static load test, wheelset manufacturing for test, main line running test on the basis of the derailment theory and experience. It is executed main line test into more than 110km/h for estimating the running safety of Incheon Int'l Airport EMU. As the test results, could confirm the curving performance and running safety of Incheon Int'l Airport EMU from the results of the wheel unloading, lateral force, derailment coefficient etc. Derailment coefficient was less than 0.8, and lateral force allowance limit and wheel load reduction ratio were enough safe.

  • There are many types of BOM, such as EBOM, MBOM, As-Built BOM, As-Designed BOM, Generic BOM, Customized BOM, etc. We should define an adequate BOM to achieve some purposes. In this paper, we proposed BOM structure for EMU Maintenance Information System. First of all, we define Master BOM including all part's information, such as 2D/3D drawings, images, specification, etc. And then we define Object BOM that is functional structure for someone to achieve maintenance works. Object BOM will be applied to configure sales orders, explode aggregate forecasts, and calculate standard cost.

Steady-State Harmonic Domain Matrix-Based Modeling of Four-Quadrant EMU Line Converter

  • As a non-linear time variant system, the four-quadrant line converter of an electric multiple unit (EMU) was expressed by linear time periodic functions near an operating point and modeled by a steady-state harmonic domain matrix. The components were then combined according to the circuit connection and relations of the feedback control loops to form a complete converter model. The proposed modeling method allows the study of the amplitude of harmonic impedances to explore harmonic coupling. Moreover, the proposed method helps provide a better design for the converter controllers, as well as solves the problem in coordination operation between the EMUs and the AC supply. On-site data from an actual $CRH_2$ high-speed train were used to validate the modeling principles presented in the paper.

  • High speed train system generates much EMI (electromagnetic interference) by arc between the pantograph and the trolley line during the running time. EMI from the tilted EMU train system which is similar to HEMU-400X system for 400 km/h speed and with the distributed engines was measured following EN50121-2, 'Railway applications. - Electromagnetic compatibility (Emission of the whole railway system to the outside world)'. Measured EMI values exceed the limiting values of EN50121-2 in high frequency band ($30\;MHz{\sim}1,000\;MHz$), but exceeding frequencies were identified that they are used for mobile communications. Measured EMI values did not exceed the limiting values in other low frequency band between 9 kHz and 30 MHz.

  • This paper describes the CMOS standard cell library implemented in double metal single poly gate process with 3\ulcornerm design rule, and its results of testing. This standard cell library contains total 33 cells of random logic gates, flip-flop gates and input/output buffers. All of cell was made to have the equal height of 98\ulcornerm, and width in multiple constant grid of 9 \ulcornerm. For cell data base, the electric characteristics of each cell is investigated and delay is characterized in terms of fanout. As the testing results of Ring Oscillator among the cell library, the average delay time for Inverter is 1.05 (ns), and the delay time due to channel routing metal is 0.65(ps)per unit length.

공항철도 구간 KTX투입 방안 고찰 (The consideration of a input KTX in airport railroad)

  • 시대적 요구에 따라 인천공항철도가 1단계(인천국제공항~김포공항, 40.3km, 07년 3월 개통)와 2단계(김포공항~서울역, 20.7km, 10년 10월 개통)가 단계별로 개통되었으나, 표정속도의 저하로 도로교통과 경쟁력을 확보하지 못하고 수송수요의 저조 등으로 이어져 민간협약에 의한 정부 재정지원은 날로 늘어나 결국 2009년11월 국가에서는 한국철도공사로 하여금 민간지분을 매입하여 정부보조금 지출 축소를 모색하였으나, 정부보조금 지출 비중만 축소되었을 뿐 공항철도를 운행함에 따른 정부보조금은 상당분 지출되고 있는 상황이다. 더우기 2004년 4월 경부고속철도 개통에 따라 고객들도 시간가치의 소중함을 인식하고 대기시간이 길어지거나 운행시간이 길어지는 경우엔 더 빠른 교통수단으로 전환하는 것을 당연시 하고 있으며, 교통정보 전달의 가속화로 출발부터 목적지 도착까지 최적의 교통수단이 무엇인지 파악 후 출발하므로서 여행에 따른 시간손실을 최소화 하려한다. 따라서 공항철도의 고속화는 이 시대의 요구사항으로 당연시 되어 있고 공항철도의 고속화야 말로 타교통수단과의 경쟁에서 우위를 차지할 수 있으며, 인천공항철도 활성화가 가능하고 소외된 경기서북부 및 인천지역의 고속철도 수혜를 확대하는 방안일 것이다. 공항철도 고속화방안은 앞선 검토 자료를 기초로 실제 적용하는데 있어 좀더 구체적이고 현실적인 방안을 모색하고자 본 고에서는 공항철도구간의 고속화 가능구간과 노반, 궤도, 시스템개량에 따른 열차속도향상 효과를 분석하고 각 차량별 즉, 기존 AREX(120km/h), KTX(230km/h), 180km/h급 고속EMU(Electric Multiple Unit) 등의 차량투입에 따른 열차운행 대안을 분석하고 가장 효율적인 열차운전시격 및 열차운행패턴 등을 제시하여 인천공항철도를 이용하는 고객들에게 좀 더 신속하고 쾌적한 운송수단이 되어 새로운 수송수요 창출은 물론이고 타교통과의 경쟁우위를 확보하여 공항철도가 활성화되기를 기대해 본다.

Protection Strategies Against False Data Injection Attacks with Uncertain Information on Electric Power Grids

  • False data injection attacks have recently been introduced as one of important issues related to cyber-attacks on electric power grids. These attacks aim to compromise the readings of multiple power meters in order to mislead the operation and control centers. Recent studies have shown that if a malicious attacker has complete knowledge of the power grid topology and branch admittances, s/he can adjust the false data injection attack such that the attack remains undetected and successfully passes the bad data detection tests that are used in power system state estimation. In this paper, we investigate that a practical false data injection attack is essentially a cyber-attack with uncertain information due to the attackers lack of knowledge with respect to the power grid parameters because the attacker has limited physical access to electric facilities and limited resources to compromise meters. We mathematically formulated a method of identifying the most vulnerable locations to false data injection attack. Furthermore, we suggest minimum topology changes or phasor measurement units (PMUs) installation in the given power grids for mitigating such attacks and indicate a new security metrics that can compare different power grid topologies. The proposed metrics for performance is verified in standard IEEE 30-bus system. We show that the robustness of grids can be improved dramatically with minimum topology changes and low cost.

조가선 전류 검측 시스템의 활용기술 연구 - 고속선 경부2단계 시험결과를 중심으로 - (Utilizing Technology in Measurement System for Catenary Current: - Focusing on Testing Results for Kyoungbu High-speed Line in Korea -)

  • The resent developed high speed train called HEMU-430X (Highspeed Electric Multiple Unit - 430km/h eXperiment) recorded a 421.4 km/h in Kyoungbu high speed line in Korea. A verity of measurement systems are used to check the performance between pantograph and catenary system. An innovative measurement system is adopted to check the current of catenary wire in the track side during HEMU-430X test running. This paper presents the measurement results of catenary current in kyoungbu high-speed line and describe its utilizing technology in the experimental results of catenary current. In order to analyze field testing results, the current ratio between contact and catenary current have been analyzed by means of Carson-Pollaczek equation. And the current wave forms between catenary and contact wire are presented based on the simulation results.

전동차 출입문 구동을 위한 SRM용 C-dump 컨버터 Topology 특성 비교 (Characteristic Analysis of C-dump Converter Topology for SRM of Electric Multiple Unit Door Driving)

  • The speed at which the SRM (Switched Reluctance Motor) makes a transition from chopping control to single pulse operation. (i.e., low speed to high speed operation). It is unsatisfied with performance at all operational regimes. In this paper, the operational performance of SRM can be improved by using current hysteresis control method. This method maintains a generally flat current waveform. At the high speed, the current chopping capability is lost due to the development of the back-EMF. Therefore SRM operates in single pulse mode. By using zero-current switching and zero-voltage switching technique, the stress of power switches can be reduce in chopping mode. When the commutation from one phase winding to another phase winding, the current can be zero as fast as possible in this period because several times negative voltage of DC-source voltage produce in phase winding. This paper is compared to performance based on energy efficient C-dump converter topology and the proposed resonant C-dump converter topology. Simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed circuit.

전기식 출입문 시스템의 신뢰도 분석기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reliability Analysis Methodology of Passenger Door System of Electrical Type)

  • The door system for railway vehicles is the critical device directly influences on safety and satisfaction of passengers, Recently, electrical type of passenger door system is widely used for EMU type train instead of pneumatic type of passenger door system. The estimation of MTBF and failure rates for electrical type door system is essential. The manufacturor simply provides intrinsic reliability data for the railway operator. But actual reliability data based on operation and maintenance data is not complying with intrinsic reliability. In this study, operation and failure data associated with electrical door system were analyzed in order to determine actual MTBF and failure data. Intrinsic reliability data and service reliability data were studied to finallize much more practical and reliable actual reliability. Relax 2011 was used to predict intrinsic reliability and 217Plus model was also used to estimate of actual reliability data based on field data. Furthermore, it is necessary to keep studying on reliability prediction methodology and applying it in the field and doing research on improvement of reliability through feedback as well.
