Importance of Backscattering Effects in Ballistic Quantum Transport in Mesoscopic Ring Structures

  • We have found that in the ballistic electron transport in a ring structure, the junction-backscattering contribution is critical for all the major features of the Aharonov-Bohm-type interference patterns. In particular, by considering the backscattering effect, we present new and clear interpretation about the physical origin of the secondary minima in the electrostatic Aharonov-Bohm effect and that of the h/2e oscillations when both the electric and magnetic potentials are present. We have devised a convenient scheme of expanding the conductance by the junction backscattering amplitude, which enables us to determine most important electron paths among infinitely many paths and to gain insight about their contributions to the interference patterns. Based on the scheme, we have identified various interesting interference phenomena in the ballistic ring structure and found that the backscattering effect plays a critical role in all of them.

  • The infrared, flame detector uses to detect fire situation from the characteristics of fire sources radiant energy. But it is able to malfunction on account of susceptible to interference of various surrounding waves. This paper is designed 6 independent PCB-boards to minimize the closed loops of siginal circuit. Also considering the interaction of electric and magnetic fields, this paper is designed protecting circuit of current and voltage output to reduced electromagnetic interference. And this paper is improving electromagnetic susceptibility by ferrite bid, capacitor filter and grounding circuits.

Design to Reduce Cost and Improve the Mechanical Durability of IPMSM in Traction Motors

  • The interior permanent-magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) is often used for the traction motor of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and electric vehicles (EVs) due to its high power density and wide speed range. This paper introduces the 120kW class IPMSM for traction motors in military trucks. This system, as a SHEV (series hybrid electric vehicle), requires a traction motor that can generate high torque. This study introduces a way to reduce costs by proposing a design approach that creates reluctance torque that can be maximized by varying the dq-axis inductance. If a model designed by a design approach meets the desired torque, the magnetic torque can be reduced by an amount equal to the increase in reluctance torque and consequently the amount of permanent magnets can be reduced. A reduction gear and high speed operation of motors are necessary for the miniaturization of the motor. Thus, a fairly large centrifugal force is generated due to the high speed rotation. This force causes mechanical interference between the rotor and the stator, and a design approach for adding an iron bridge is explained to solve the interference. In this study, the initial model and the improved model that reduces cost and improves mechanical durability are compared by FEA, and the models are produced. Finally, the FEM results were verified experimentally.

상용화 드론을 이용한 송전선로 점검방안 및 현장시험 (Patrol Monitoring Plan for Transmission Towers with a Commercial Drone and its Field Tests)

  • 과거 송전선로를 점검하기 위하여 선로를 주행하는 로봇시스템을 이용하여 점검방법이 있었으나 선로를 주행하기 위한 구동장치와 장애물을 회피하기 위한 복잡한 메커니즘 등으로 시스템 자체가 무거워 선로에 설치하기가 어렵고 선로의 장애물을 완벽하게 회피하여 주행하지 못하는 단점이 있었다. 그래서 공중에서 비행하며 점검하는 비행로봇 형태가 개발됐고 최근 회전익 멀티콥터 형태 드론의 비행안정도가 높아짐에 따라 전력산업에도 전력설비 점검에 이용되기 시작했다. 배전설비를 수동조종으로 비행하는 드론을 이용하여 점검해 왔다. 그러나 송전선로나 철탑의 경우, 설비 규모가 크고 경간 거리가 멀어 비행 중인 드론의 위치와 송전선로간의 거리를 가늠하기 어렵기 때문에 드론을 수동으로 시계비행하며 송전선로를 점검하기에는 선로와의 충돌위험에서 자유롭기 어렵다. 또한, 수동조종으로 선정된 웨이포인트(Way-point)에 의존한 자동비행점검도 송전선로에 형성되는 자기장에 의해 드론의 전자식 나침판이 오작동하여 비행방향의 오류를 초래하므로 송전선로와의 충돌 가능성이 여전히 상존한다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 송전선로의 자기장을 영향에 대한 드론점검 작업환경을 조사하고 이를 근거로 자기장 영향권 밖에서 비행경로를 생성하여 고배율카메라와 열화상 카메라가 탑재된 상용화 드론을 이용하여 자동비행하면서 송전선로를 점검할 수 있는 체계를 소개한다. 또한, 이 점검체계를 이용하여 충남지역의 154 kV, 345 kV, 765 kV 등 전압별 실 선로에 대하여 적용한 현장시험결과를 소개하고자 한다.

  • This paper describes the characteristics and the criteria of electrical environmental effects produced from power system especially transmission line. Audible noise radio and TV interference, electric and magnetic inductions which are main items for optimal conductor selection as well as major contributors to the community complaint of electrical environmental problem, are surveyed and studied comparing with the criteria or the environmental protection regulation of domestic and foreign countries. As a result a domestic criteria of electrical environmental on power system was suggested.

  • Railroad signalling systems are to control intervals and routes of trains. There are ATS(Automatic Train Stop), ATP(Automatic Train Protection), ATO(Automatic Train Operation) and ATC(Automatic Train Control) system. Trains are operated in the section which is met on the signalling system because various signalling systems are used in Korea. On the other words, trains are not operated in the section which is used in the other signalling system. To solve this problem, recently combined on-board system has been developed. The combined on-board system is designed by doubling the ATS, ATP and ATC system. Information signal is received by magnetic sensors in the ATC system and is received by antennas in the ATS and ATP system. Therefore, it is possible to arise transmission problems by magnetic coupling. In this paper, electric model of the ATS and ATP antenna is suggested and interference frequency by the magnetic coupling between the ATS and ATP antenna is estimated numerically. As a results of the magnetic coupling, the value of the magnetic coupling is presented without magnetic induction.

DC 기어리스 고속엘리베이터의 제어 개수

  • 최근 승강기의 현대화 사업에서는 단공기(短工期)$\cdot$저가격으로 특히 신뢰성 향상을 기대할 수 있는 제어개수(制御改修:전기기기를 일신하는 개수방법)가 주류를 이루고 있다. 그래서 미쓰비시(삼릉)전기에서는 납품한지 20년 이상 경과한 직류-기어리스(DC-GL)고속엘리베이터를 대상으로 하는 제어개수전용의 구동방식을 개발하여 동사 본사빌딩에 납품하였다. 새로운 구동방식은 현재 널리 적용되고 있는 고속엘리베이터의 인버터제어기술을 응용하여 개발한 초퍼회로방식이다. 제어회로에서는 동사의 최신 엘리베이터와 같은 마이컴시스템을 채용하여 고성능화와 부품의 공용화를 도모하였다. 또한 주회로에는 고조파대책, EMI(Eletro-magnetic Interference) 대책 및 누설전류대책을 시행하였다. 특히 직류전동기의 계자제어에서는 엘리베이터의 운전상태에 따라 계자전류를 가변하는 가변계자전류제어를 적용하였다. 이번에 개발한 제어방식은 다음의 특징을 갖고 있다. (1)고조파전류를 억제하였기 때문에 빌딩측에서의 고조파대책이 불필요하다. (2)동사 제작의 워드레오나드방식과 비교하여 약 $40\%$정도 소비전력을 감소시킬 수 있다. (3)동사 제품인 최신 엘리베이터 수준의 성능(승차감, 착상정도 등)을 실현하였다. (4)최신 엘리베이터와 동등한 풍부한 옵션에 대응할 수 있다. 당분간은 속도 $120\~$360m/min, 용량 1,600kg 이하의 고속엘리베이터에 적용하고 점차적으로 적용영역을 확대해 나갈 예정이다.

Double Resonance Perfect Absorption in a Dielectric Nanoparticle Array

  • We propose a reflector-type perfect absorber with double absorption lines using electric and magnetic dipoles of Mie resonances in an array of silicon nanospheres on a silver substrate. In the visible range, hundreds of nanometer-sized nanospheres show strong absorption lines up to 99%, which are enhanced by the interference between Mie scattering and reflections from the silver substrate. The air gap distance between the silicon particles and silver substrate controls this interference, and the absorption wavelengths can be controlled by adjusting the diameter of the silicon particles over the entire range of visible wavelengths. Additionally, our structure has a filling factor of 0.322 when the absorbance is nearly 100%.

전계의 균일성을 고려한 자동차의 전자파 내성시험 방법에 관한 연구 (The Electro-Magnetic Susceptibility Test Method of a Road Vehicle Considering the Field Uniformity)

  • Owing to revolutionary developments in automobile technologies, a variety of advanced vehicles - hybrid vehicle, hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, electric vehicle, etc. - emerges recently. The safety is getting more important for developing automobiles. The electro-magnetic compatibility has to be assured, since those advanced vehicles are equipped with various new electronic systems. Electro-magnetic compatibility tests, in general, consist of an EMI(electro-magnetic interference) test and an EMS (electro-magnetic susceptibility) test. We investigated the susceptibility test method suggested in KMVSS (Korean Motor Vehicle Safety Standard) as the EMS test method. A series of experiments results that the above test method should be partially revised to comply with a Korean governmental standard method. In this paper, the some directions of modifications are presented to enhance the quality of the above EMS test method.

  • As the industry develops, they are interested in the fault of electric machines and the effect on human beings by electromagnetic fields and waves which generate through much use of electric machines and appliances. In foreign country, they confirmed the standard about electromagnetic interference and compatibility(EMI/EMC) of electromagnetic fields and waves generating electricity transmission/distribution equipments and electric appliance. In Korea, such criteria are applied too. Before EMI/EMC standard is applied, it is important to prepare the plan to predict and reduce electromagnetic fields and waves which generate in the inner and the outer part of electric machinery. To solve such a problem, they calculated Maxwell's equations by finite element method(FEM) and finite difference method(FDM) in most papers. However, these methods have the disadvantage that mathematical expansions are complex and need much memory allocations for grid and mesh generations. In this paper, we introduce transmission line matrix(TLM) method that media of which trains consists are regarded as transmission lines for electromagnetic field calculation in Korean High Speed Train, calculate the electric and magnetic field, and analyze the results.
