New occupational types, suitable for the elderly, have been developed in order to extend job opportunities for that demographic. However, it was mainly done from the perspective of the urban elderly and did not take into account the rural elderly's needs and the special conditions in rural areas. Especially, as 53.4% of the rural elderly 60 years old and over has engaged in economic activities and 88.7% of them are working in the field of agriculture or forestry, the development on the new kinds of job for the rural elderly is more meaningful as secondary jobs rather than as new occupations. Therefore, this study aimed at developing the new kinds of occupation suitable for the rural elderly. For this purpose, data were collected from 279 elderly farmers 60 years old and over working currently or have ever worked in something other than farming work. Questionnaires were composed to measure preferences for jobs by work characteristics and evaluations on the appropriateness of the jobs for the elderly selected by the Ministry of Labor in Korea. The results showed that the rural elderly preferred work doing at home, together with the elderly, in groups, and light physical labor to technical or office work that must commute regularly. Also, they evaluated that most of the occupations suitable for the elderly announced by the Ministry of Labor were more suitable for the male than the female elderly. Based on these findings, this study selected 18 kinds of individual and 11 common jobs by sex. It may contribute to creating job opportunities for the rural elderly by applying it to the policy or extension, and to revitalizing the rural elderly's lives and increasing their incomes.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to present a plan to expand the employment of the elderly in Small business as one of the ways to solve the problem of the supply and demand of the company due to the aging population and the problem of the elderly poverty. Research design, data and methodology: The method of this study is a qualitative research method, and the researcher visited a small and medium-sized company directly and collected data by conducting an in-depth interview with a business owner. The interview period was conducted on a total of 15 business owners from November 5, 2013 to November 18, 2013. Results: First, the reason why companies hire the elderly is because they are suitable people, and the reason why they are not employed is because the elderly are not suitable. Second, it was found that the most recruiting paths continued to work after retirement. Third, the strengths of the elderly in their businesses were diligence, integrity, leadership, wisdom, warmth, and skill. Disadvantages the elderly in their businesses include wanting to be treated as an adult, poor productivity, poor accuracy, and health risks. Fourth, in case of hiring the elderly, they were considering convergence with young employees, and it was suggested that there are no difficulties in being an elderly because the companies hiring the elderly use the elderly according to the characteristics of the elderly. Fifth, It is realistic to actively utilize the employment system after retirement. Sixth, it was found that, unlike young people, it is not easy to recruit people on the Internet, so it is necessary to improve the system. Lastly, some industries clearly distinguished between the jobs of the elderly and the jobs of the young, but in many industries, it was desirable to create jobs for the elderly by harmonizing the main and secondary jobs. Conclusion: Ultimately, the work of the elderly in small and medium-sized enterprises should be reborn as a high-quality job that can solve the poverty of the elderly by working as a regular worker in the enterprise, rather than simply working for the elderly.
The purpose of this study was conducted with suggesting a clue to improve the perception of jobs for the elderly, and the final study subject was 110 people. As a research methods were student t-test, ⲭ2-test, one-way ANOVA(Scheffe). The result of the study are as follows. The perception and economic status of the young elderly(65-74 years old) were significantly higher. The perception of public jobs was significantly higher when married, religious, and monthly income was more than 4 million won. The perception of social service-type jobs was significantly higher when married and when there was a religion. The perception of private jobs was high when the monthly income was more than 4 million won (p<0.05). The preference for "parking order service" in the public sector, "support for elderly facilities" in the social service sector, and "fast food restaurant employees, kitchen, restaurant assistants, and food delivery service workers" in the private sector was the highest. In conclusion, there is a need for an education program to improve the perception of jobs for the elderly in order to raise the awareness of job policies for the elderly, which decrease with age. It is expected to be used as basic data for job creation and job creation that can be done according to the age of the elderly.
As South Korean population is aging and the elderly have to continue their economic activities, the problem of jobs for the elderly is coming to the fore. In particular, in the situation where traditional agriculture is preferred over strategic mechanized agriculture, due to the reality of South Korean agriculture dominated by farming by the elderly, the paradigm of South Korean agriculture should be changed into completely new one in order to have new competitiveness. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to propose the $6^{th}$ industry as an alternative to create jobs for the elderly. To this end, 6th industry success cases in South Korea are analyzed with a view to discovering implications applicable to other countries too.
This study regards the need for jobs to overcome the poverty of the elderly in an aged society, and as well as researches ways to participate in active economic activities in old age. The results of the study are as follows. First, the legal system needs to be improved. In addition to institutional support for the expansion of jobs for the elderly, improvement of awareness of the elderly and reinforcement of infrastructure such as a delivery system are required, and a legal basis for this is needed. To this end, occupations targeting the elderly must be selected first, and legal procedures must be prepared by the government. Second, there must be social consideration and support for the elderly. Extension of the retirement age plays an important role in enhancing employment for the elderly. Along with the improvement of the legal system, social consideration is required. Therefore, since the elderly policy without social consensus is bound to fail, various support methods that can lead to social support must be devised. Third, the elderly must have a sense of poverty and willingness to rehabilitate themselves. Elderly people should not only ask for their children and social support. The elderly must be able to find a way to become the economic agent themselves. To do this, a basic awareness of the elderly poverty consciousness is needed, and a change of awareness to escape the poverty of the elderly is necessary. Therefore, the elderly need to be self-reliant, and they must choose jobs according to their own abilities. In conclusion, the elderly job program is a part of income increase that solves the poverty of the elderly in the aged society, and the elderly are required to actively participate in economic activities.

This study aims to develop useful programs, which would promote the economic activities of rural elderly and their living standard as the silver population is growing in the society, to present the direction of policy related to the elderly for governmental agencies, and make it available as data that can be accessed by civil servants, in charge of elderly-related matters and currently serving at city office and municipal and county agricultural technique center, so that they can provide education to the elderly. For this, first, the economic condition of the rural elderly and their requirements have to be diagnosed. Second, we developed a program that specially aimed at improving their economic activities. To develop of program, a survey questionnaire was administered with the 881 elderly over 60 years old who live in 110 rural villages. Face to face interview was carried out by professional interviewer. The result was once posted in the 2nd issue of volume 14th of this journal in 2004 with the title of "Study of the rural elderly's activities and needs of economics." Based on such result of study, we developed the program to provide jobs to the rural elderly that are suitable for them. 2 types programs, which differ from each other depending on the subject of implementing the welfare of the elderly, were developed: first, "program to create jobs for rural elderly at the policy supporting level, which requires the government to drive forward, and second, 'program to provide education to rural elderly at the social level' to foster them as competent human resources."

This study is to provide basic data on the jobs program to identify the relevance of the professional activities and quality of life of the elderly and the elderly, were performed using the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.. Survey population of 1,472 patients were 65 years of age or older. The survey method, t-test, ANOVA and multilevel regression analysis was used. This study result of quality of life of elderly people with a job, unemployed elderly people appeared to be higher than the quality of life(${\beta}=0.041$, p=0.000). In work mode regular workers was an average of 0.93 points((p=0.005), in working hour full-time average 0.91 points(p=0.079), in job classification professional average 0.91 points(p=0.044) the higher the quality of life. Elderly business jobs, there is a need to improve the quality of life of the elderly to consider the results of this study work business.

The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the public pension and the old-age preparation on the life satisfaction of the elderly with disabilities who have paid jobs, focusing on mediation effects of self-esteem. The data of "the 8th year Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled" of 2016 surveyed by the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled was used. Among the 5,092 people with disabilities, who are 60 or older and who are employed for paid jobs, only 296 cases were finally selected and analyzed by using SPSS 20.0 Version. The results of this study are as follows: First, public pension is a factor that increases the life satisfaction of the population. The elderly with disabilities who have paid jobs and well prepared for the old-age are more likely to have higher life satisfaction. Second, self-esteem did not seem to mediate between public pension and life satisfaction. Third, self-esteem have proven to mediate between old-age preparation and life satisfaction. This study is meaningful in terms of finding mediating factors such as public pension, revitalization of old-age preparation and self-esteem as part of raising life satisfaction of the elderly with disabilities.
This study aims to study the problems and solutions of institutional support for the elderly living alone, focusing on the General Support for Living Alone Elderly announced by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2018. Results, First, a customized support system for the elderly living alone should be introduced. In order to improve the life satisfaction of the elderly living alone, it is necessary to develop a program that meets the most basic daily life needs, and a specific plan and a support system to link services should be prepared. Second, it is necessary to increase social interest in the elderly living alone. Solving problems for the elderly living alone should be preceded by social interest in the elderly living alone. For this, it is necessary to strengthen the social network. Third, it proposes legislation and amendment for the elderly living alone. Some revisions of existing laws have limitations, and are resolved through individual laws, such as standards and definitions for various types of elderly jobs, reorganization of the delivery system including agencies dedicated to elderly jobs, workers-related regulations, and preferential purchase systems for senior products. It is desirable to do. In conclusion, welfare support for the elderly living alone should be comprehensive and comprehensive. Background and objectives: One-person households are the fastest growing family type in Korea. They bring social concerns such as weakened social integration, increasing poverty and social isolation. They are not homogeneous but heterogeneous groups depending on their socio-demographic characteristics including generation. This study compared the life satisfaction level as well as factors affecting it among the three one-person household generations Methods: The 13th wave of the Korea Welfare Panel dataset with 1,187 respondents was utilized. For data analysis Chi-square test, analysis of variance and hierarchical regression analysis were employed. Generations are divided into three, namely young adult (20-39), the middle-aged (40-64) and the elderly (65 and over). Result: The life satisfaction level was highest among the young adult one-person household generation, followed by the middle-aged and the elderly generation. The common factors affecting life satisfaction of the three generations were physical as well as mental health, including self-esteem and depression. However, there were more factors different from generation to generation. As for the young adult, age, religion, and smoking were significant. As for the middle aged and the elderly, gender (male) and income were significant. Additionally, age, home-ownership and drinking were significant to the elderly generation. Conclusions: As there are differences as well as similarities among the three generations, policies for one-person households need to be devised considering these findings. For all generations, both physical and mental health policies are needed. For young adult strengthening social relations, providing decent jobs, and promoting anti-smoking policy are major agenda, and for the middle-aged and the elderly, assisting in social capital accumulation (for male), providing stable jobs and diverse leisure activities, and securing income. Additionally, for the elderly, expanding the social security system and housing support are needed.
