A bonded warehouse is the warehouse located in bonded area. It functions not only as a general warehouse but also as a place for managing the work related to import and export bonded goods. As a general warehouse, it uses the rack system to store the goods and the folk lift truck to move the unitized goods. The operation of the storing system closely related to the efficiency of space uses in a warehouse and vehicle working. Thus, vehicle performance measured in distance units in the ware-house could be used as one of the key performance measure in warehouse system. This paper focuses on the operation efficiency of the bonded warehouse which uses rack system for the storing and the folk lift truck for moving goods. The method of load allocation for balancing the rack uses and vehicle operation for maximizing efficiency are the specific concerns in this paper. The simulation study is conducted to find a policy for efficient vehicle operation based on balanced rack utilization, and the favorable result for the system operation would lead the usable proposal in vehicle operation.

This paper proposes an efficient binary arithmetic encoder for CABAC which is used one of the entropy coding methods for H.264/AVC. The present binary arithmetic encoding algorithm requires huge complexity of operation and data dependency of each step, which is difficult to be operated in fast. Therefore, renormalization exploits 2-stage pipeline architecture for efficient process of operation, which reduces huge complexity of operation and data dependency. Context model updater is implemented by using a simple expression instead of transIdxMPS table and merging transIdxLPS and rangeTabLPS tables, which decreases hardware size. Arithmetic calculator consists of regular mode, bypass mode and termination mode for appearance probability of binary value. It can operate in maximum speed. The proposed binary arithmetic encoder has 7282 gate counts in 0.18um standard cell library. And input symbol per cycle is about 1.

This study aims to find an efficient establishment and operation of a gallery in public libraries. A literature review, field case study, and interview method were used. 15 public library galleries in 5 regions in Korea and 11 public library galleries in 11 cities in 3 countries were examined. 22 people were interviewed and 21 (95.5%) of them claimed that a gallery needs to be operated in a public library. The result of the analysis proposes the followings for an efficient establishment and operation of a gallery in public libraries: firstly, employing an art gallery curator according to the library's situation. Secondly, establishing a gallery of at least 55m² in size. Thirdly, allocating an appropriate budget. Fourthly, if possible, gallery rental requests are reviewed by external experts and a gallery needs to be rented out to the public free of charge. Fifthly, having an operating manual or a regulation. Sixthly, a gallery should be operated directly by the library.

In this paper, a DC power management scheme is proposed for efficient battery operation of 60-GHz receivers. It consists of a rectenna and a zero-cross detector. The harmonic rejection capability of a circular sector antenna is used to simplify the rectenna. The zero-cross detector is introduced to increase sensitivity. When the received power density is larger than 0.013 $mW/cm^2$, it can generate enough DC power to activate an RF receiver. Experimental data is used to verify the proposed idea.

Recently, biofilm reactors are considered as efficient wastewater treatment system in rural areas, because of characteristics of easy operation and economic feasibility. In order to select the most efficient media, an experimental apparatus with five different media was designed, installed and examined. The media used in this study were zeolite, artificial sponge gourd, absorbent biofilter, non-woven fabric and charcoal. With only one month investigation, all five media showed high removal efficiencies of BOD.

Almost every industrial plant or building has their own boiler systems, so boilers are often called "kinds of social infrastructures"In Korea, We have many indistinct problems on efficient operations of industrial boiler systems. In this paper, to elevate thermal operation efficiency and to diminish air pollutions of the boilers, especially in urban area, at present, "The muliple installation systems of small type once through boiler(gas fired)" are suggested.

Private security industry employers in Korea has not concerned with the importance of training and education by lack of recognition and has been passive about qualified guards. And the authorities supervising and the administrating the guards has not recognized the importance of private security and has neglected the training of the guards. Korea has been operated the guard-instructor system for the acquiring the specialization of the security personnel since 1997, but there has been many problems. This study reviews the guard-instructor system in Korea comprehensively and suggests the efficient operation method of that system.

Flash memories are one of best media to support future computer's storages. However, we need to improve traditional data management scheme due to the relatively slow characteristics of flash operation of SSD. Due to the unique characteristics of flash media and hard disk, the efficiency of I/O processing is severely reduced without special treatment, especially in the presence of heavy workload or bulk data copy. In this respect, we need to design and develop efficient hybrid-RAID storage system.

Using good properties of an optimal normal basis of type I in a finite field ${\mathbb{F}}_{2^m}$, we present a design of a bit serial multiplier of Berlekamp type, which is very effective in computing $xy^2$. It is shown that our multiplier does not need a basis conversion process and a squaring operation is a simple permutation in our basis. Therefore our multiplier provides a fast and an efficient hardware architecture for a bit serial multiplication of two elements in ${\mathbb{F}}_{2^m}$.

Manufacturing systems are becoming intelligent, decentralized, autonomous, which is so called as Intelligent Manufacturing Systems(IMS). In this paper, a method for efficient resource management in Holonic Manufacturing System which is one alternative of IMS, was developed. The developed method was evaluated with the current possible method and the results are shown.
