A Study on the Standard Criteria of Solid Particle Separation Test for Marine Centrifugal Purifier (선박용 정유기 고형분 분리 성능시험 규격기준에 관한 연구)

  • In order to establish a criteria of solid particle separation performance test on marine centrifugal purifier at factory acceptance test, an investigation had been done on criteria of test standards, regulations and test specifications of purifier manufactures. KS V 7836, fuel oil and lubricating oil purifiers for marine use-centrifugal type, the criteria of solid particle separation is studied in the point of reality, restricts and analysis method. It is proposed that a reasonable criteria and analysis method should be adopted, and the current criteria shall be revised to adequate levels considering reasonable basis and industrial technology levels. Also, the test analysis conceptions, separation efficiency method and particle size restriction method, are reviewed to fulfil separation performance test for marine centrifugal purifiers.

Single Phase Active Rectifier with Power Factor Correction For Inverter Air-Conditioner (인버터 에어컨용 역률제어기능을 갖는 단상능동정류기)

  • In this paper, a Single-phase Active Rectifier(SAR) with high power factor capability for inverter air-conditioner is adopted for satisfying the international standards of input current harmonics, IEC 1000-3-2. Comparing the conventional boost power factor correction circuit, one diode drop is reduced in the power flow path of the SAR circuit, so the system efficiency is improved. To apply the control IC, such as UC3854, ML4821 and so forth, to the SAR, the adequate sensing circuits are proposed. The design rules of passive components and two control loops are also presented. The prototype SAR circuit with 3㎾ power consumption is builted and tested to verify the operation of the proposed circuit.

  • A Single-phase Active Rectifier (SAR) [4-6] with high power factor capability is adopted to satisfy the international harmonic current standards such as IEC 1000-3-2. To minimize the input current distortion and to apply the control IC, such as FA5331, UC3854, ML4821 and so forth, the new adequate sensing circuits of the input voltage and current are proposed. There are tow methods applicable the SAR to inverter air-conditioner from the viewpoint of both efficiency and cost. The selecting methods of the passive components are presented for the two approaches. Using the determined components, the loss analyses are carried out. The prototype SAR circuits of these two approaches with 3kW power consumption are built and the operation and performance of the circuits with power factor correction capability are verified through the experimental results.

  • In general, the function of intake structure, whether it be a open channel, a fully wetted tunnel, a sump or a tank, is to supply an evenly distributed flow to a pump station. An even distribution of flow, characterized by strong local flow, can result in formation of surface or submerged vortices, and with certain low values of submergence, may introduce air into pump, causing a reduction of capacity and efficiency, an increase in vibration and additional noise. Unfortunately in order to design the sump station, the reasonable code or the standards weren't presented yet in Korea. Thus, some researchers had often referred the HI code, JSME code or CEN code to design the sump station. This study aims to prescribe the standard of sump design which were matched well the Korean pump station. Thus, the HI code and TSJ code would be interpreted fully to Korean language, the part of interpreted clauses of the western codes would be selected to compose the standard.

  • Abstract Increasing awareness of industrial noise pollution and emerging stricter standards have made noise an important topic of research in electric motors. The standard three-phase induction motors. see Fig. 1, (abbreviated further as TPIM) are mass-produced as being simple, robust and rather inexpensive, as opposed to other types of electric motors. Electric motors use over half of all electricity consumed in most countries. Typically motors consume 60∼80 % of the electricity for those used In the industrial sector and about 20∼35 % of the electricity for those used in the commercial sector. For that is important to know their participation to the noise pollution of the environment and the efficient ways of their noise reduction. Each step in determining the ways for TPIM electromagnetic noise reduction including the methods that highlight their efficiency, are presented and explained.

  • According to the obligation of BIM application, the guidelines of energy simulation based on BIM are being presented. Although there is the advantage to minimize the error in energy analysis using the energy model, there are still issues about insufficient standards and the compatibility of the gbXML. Therefore, it is necessary to establish the processes to utilize and apply BIM methods for energy simulation. This study was examined on the compatibility of data for energy simulation by the gbXML schema and energy efficiency by BIM.

  • The curriculum differentiation is supposed to maximize individual strength and possibilities of the students, and to maximize educational efficiency by differentiating the instructions according to students' abilities, aptitudes, needs and interests. The Ministry of Education has suggested a stepwise model for school mathematics. This model is named "Stepwise Curriculum Differentiation"(段階別 敎育課程 差別化). In this paper, we would like to make a specific proposal for the 7th curriculum. Our proposal reflects fully the guidelines of the Ministry of Education. It is also based on the national curriculum history up to the present time. It could be used as a reference for the continuing work of curriculum reformation. We suggest dividing the contents of mathematics for 1-10th graders into about 15 steps, to use the step-based textbooks instead of the grade-based ones, and to prepare evaluation standards for each step. We also suggest that the classes for grades 11-12 be organized according to their optional courses and/or their steps.

  • The single-phase PWM converter employing power semiconductors is currently applied to the power unit of high-speed rail vehicle and increasingly used as the front-end converter with properties of near unity power factor. Power factor and harmonics are increasingly important needs for drive system of high-speed rail vehicle. The proposed approach has many advantages which include fewer semiconductor components, simplified control, high performance features and satisfies IEC 555 harmonic current standards. Simulation results show that the dc-link voltage control obey the reference value during constant load and input current is near sinusoidal.

  • Recently, railway has been pointed to the efficiency of transportation, rapid transit, and comfortable train ride. In the case of domestic situation, both rapid transit railway and existing railway have been operated in higher speed and the construction of railway near the city building has been increased as well. Because of the rapid transit system and heavy railway, the noise and vibration of railway has been increased so that the strong standards in terms of environmental matter should be required. Therefore, the solution to avoid environmental matters becomes one of the most important factor in constructing railway. In this study, floating slab system which is one of the solution to avoid noise and vibration in railway has been introduced, and the foreign technology and the trend of this business has been investigated. In addition, the method of conceptual design and construction of floating slab system according to the isolator has been introduced.
