Does Corporate Sustainability Management Affect Investment Efficiency?

  • Purpose - We aim to verify whether CSM activities increase investment efficiency, and to verify whether the influence of CSM activities on investment efficiency is discriminatory depending on whether or not they belong to chaebol. Design/methodology/approach - Using 4,701 Korean firm-year observations over the 2011-2017 period, we used multiple regression analysis. CSM is measured by the evaluation score of the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS). Findings - Our study confirms that CSM is a significantly positive relationship with investment efficiency. This shows that, as a result of CSM, the increased earnings quality acts as an incentive to increase investment efficiency. Next, in analysis of a dataset into two groups (a chaebol, non-chaebol), the results show that the relationship between CSM and investment efficiency differs among detailed indicator activities depending on whether or not they belong to chaebol. Research implications or Originality - It is significant that this study focused on and analyzed CSM as a determinant of investment efficiency, and examined the effects of whether or not it belongs to chaebol in the relationship between CSM and investment efficiency. Our results, which suggested that CSM can increase investment efficiency, are expected to provide important implications not only for managers but also for investors and supervisors.

BPM에서 업무할당방식이 업무효율성에 미치는 영향 (Analysis of Business Process Efficiency Based on Task assignments)

  • This paper purposes analyzing how task assignments influence on business process efficiency, and improving business process efficiency in Business Process Management (BPM) environments. For this purpose, task assignment is categorized into dynamic assignment and static assignment. Dynamic assignment binds a user to a task at process run-time, whereas static assignments assigns a task to a user at process build-time. So far, the influence of task assignment methods has not been studied. We, in this paper, analyze the business process efficiency using two different assigning rule, in terms of cycle time as a efficiency measure. The comparison result can provide a guideline for a company who wants to employ commercial BPM systems.

  • This article is to analyze the service efficiency of public sector using Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA). We tried to measure the public service quality and overall satisfaction by using several DEA models, degree of combination and top2box which is a little bit different methodology from traditional ones. We used CCR, Super-efficiency and Slack based measure(SBM) model in DEA to measure public service efficiency of the 16 public institutions(7 City Halls and 9 Provincial offices). Since the traditional method based on the measurement model(CCR, BCC) has the fundamental problems without taking account of the existence of slacks inputs and outputs in several efficient units, we suggest to measure the exact amount of efficiency and inefficiency of the public sector and rank analysis many efficient units exactly through the slacks-based measure model(SBM)

중소기업 인적자원개발 지원사업에 대한 공급망경영 유효성에 관한 연구 (A study on the influence of supply chain management efficiency on the training supporting project in small and medium-sized enterprises)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to propose supply chain management efficiency by analyzing moderating effect on the training support project in small and midium-sized enterprise. Methods: The collected data through the survey were analyzed using multi?regression analysis. The measurement tools used for this study were divided into three dimensions such as personal characteristics, supportive environment and training effect. Results: The results of this study are as follows; first, it was found that the effects of personal characteristics and supportive environment were significant on training effect. Second, significant differences were found between supply chain management active group and inactive group. Third, moderating effect of supply chain manage efficiency was found between variables. Conclusion: SME supporting project in training program needs supply chain management efficiency for training effect. Supply chain management needs to be promoted in SMEs not only for performance but also for their workplace learning and learning culture.

병원 서비스품질 차이요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Difference Factors in Service Quality for Hospital Industries)

  • This study is to identify the differences in service quality for the 2nd-scale hospital Industries. The subjects of this survey for the empirical analysis are limited to the 2nd- scale hospitals in Korea: data are collected in Seoul, Incheon and Kyungki areas. The results are as follows. First, the efficiency for hospital operations confirmed the differences in bed scale. Second, the high-efficiency hospitals attach importance to efficiency with more than 100 bad scale and the low-efficiency hospitals attach Importance to service quality with less than 100 bed scale.

  • 본 연구에서는 의약업 기업에 대한 경영효율성 분석을 실시한다. 이는 COVID-19 인해 치료제 개발로 인해 의약업은 기업가치는 상승하지만 치료제 개발이 지체되고 해외시장의 개척은 COVID-19 인한 국경봉쇄로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있다. 따라서 이들 기업의 경영효율성이 분석을 실시하여 각 기업들이 효율적인 경영 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 연구방법으로는 유가증권 의약업을 대상으로 자료포락분석을 이용하여 비효율적인 기업이 효율적인 프론티어 도달하기 위한 벤치마킹 할 수 있는 기업의 참조집합을 확인하고, 투사값을 제시하고자 한다. 분석결과, 코로나 이전과 이후의 경영효율성은 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 특정기업은 경영효율성이 하락함을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 기업의 생존경쟁력과 경영전략을 판단 할 수 있으며, 더 나아가 지속적인 성장과 경쟁력 제고를 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

충남지역 밤나무 재배 임가의 경영 효율성 분석 (Management Efficiency of Chestnut-Cultivating Households in Chungnam Province)

  • 본 연구는 비모수추정 방법인 자료포락 기법을 이용하여 청양, 공주, 부여 등 충남지역의 밤나무 재배임가를 대상으로 경영효율성을 평가하였다. 분석자료는 2012년 3월부터 10월까지 실시한 '|밤나무 경영에 관한 실태조사'결과 중에서 20개 임가의 투입요소(관리비, 수확비, 재료비, 간접비, 재배면적)와 산출요소(조수입액)를 대상으로 하였다. 그리고 DEA 기법중 CCR 모형과 BCC 모형을 이용하여 기술효율성, 순수기술효율성, 규모효율성을 분석하였고 비효율성 임가의 개선방안도 제시하였다. 추가적으로 DEA 분석결과의 검증을 위하여 기술효율성과 표준진단표 결과를 비교하였다. 연구결과, 기술효율성은 평균값이 0.667로 전체적으로 비효율적으로 분석되었고 그 원인은 순수기술효율성이 평균 0.944, 규모효율성이 평균 0.703으로 나타나 재배기술적인 측면에서는 순수기술효율성이 높았지만 규모의 효율성에서는 비효율성이 존재하였다. 효율성이 1인 임가는 기술효율성 6개, 순수기술효율성 13개, 규모효율성이 6개 임가로 나타났고, 3개 모두 1인 임가는 6개로 나타났다. 표준진단표 점수와 비교한 결과 80점이상 고득점을 기록한 임가는 5개로 나타났고 이 중 기술효율성이 1로 분석된 임가는 3개로 나타났다. 또한 기술효율성과 표준진단표의 최저점수와 최고점수를 기록한 임가도 동일하게 나타났다. 이것은 DEA를 이용한 경영 효율성 평가가 표준진단표와 함께 현장에 적용 가능하다는 것을 나타낸다.

서울지역 중소병원의 부서간 조직효과성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Interdepartmental Organizational Effectiveness of Medium and Small Sized Hospitals)

  • The purpose of this study is aimed to grasp the factors, which may influence the harmonized organizational efficiency of the objects of hospital structure as well as its structural constituents of each departments of administration, nursing, and para-medical personnels, in order to provide basic data enable to contribute in the development of hospital. The survey data involved in the study was derived from 385 personnels working in 5 medium and small sized hospitals in Seoul area. The main finding of the study can be summarized as follows; 1. The organizational efficiency in accordance with the general characteristics of subjects in order of male, over 30 years of age, university graduates, long-term tenure and high position is higher, whereas, in as much as wage and well trained personnels in administration departments are higher, its organizational efficiency is higher in comparison with those of nursing and para-medical departments. 2. The organizational efficiency in accordance with satisfaction and the motive contributional factors is higher as much as the high satisfactory level in every departments in general. 3. The organizational efficiency in accordance with the factors of job characteristics is higher in as much as difficulty of the jobs is lesser, however there was not statically significance between administration and para-medical departments. In as much as the job circulation is intact, job standard level is higher and the more job responsibility the higher organizational efficiency, while the more workload and the more work feud resulted lower organizational efficiency. It was obvious that the higher professional expertise as well as the training and application level are improving the organizational efficiency. 4. The organizational efficiency in accordance with the factors of structural characteristics was higher in as much as the intercommunication was smooth and the structural formalization level are higher, however there was not statically significance between the participation level of decision making and the organizational efficiency. 5. In as much as higher educational level of over university graduates, management of organization and the job level are satisfied, the psychological motive contributional level is higher, while the lesser job difficulty, the smooth job performance, the higher level of professional expertise, the higher structural formalization level, the smooth intercommunication, have affected as major influence factors of the structural characteristics of organizational efficiency. 6. As the management of hospital organization, the job level and personal relation are satisfied or psychological motive is provided, especially when there are no difficult jobs or smooth job circulation and no job feud are prevailing, it was apparent that the organizational efficiency is improving accordingly. The nursing departments has high educational standard and is satisfied in the management and job level of hospital organization as there are no difficult jobs while the level of hospital's organizational formality is high and the intercommunication is smooth, which are improving the organizational efficiency. The para-medical departments is also satisfied the management and job level of hospital organization and it was apparent that the organizational efficiency is higher in as much as the level of job standardization is high and the intercommunication is smooth. As a result of this study, in order for improving the organizational efficiency of the medium and small sized hospitals, the management and job level as well as personal relation are preferably satisfied, whereas the level of job circulation, job responsibility, the expertise and formalization of organization, intercommunication and etc. should be satisfied, and, therefore, it is advisable to buildup discriminated organizational management and environment for different division on the basis above factors. Since this study is carried on several hospitals in Seoul area, there is a certain limit to generalize its result to all domestic hospitals, nevertheless the gallop poll was made by developing the questionnaires with reasonability and reliability. Especially, as the study was carried by analyzing the comparison of influence factors' difference of organizational efficiency in accordance with the divisional characteristics of the medium and small sized hospitals.

모녀의 가정자원관리 유형 및 효율성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Family REsource Management Style and Efficiency of Mothers' and Their Married Daughters)

  • The purpose of this study is to consider mother's influence in married daughter in family resource management style, and efficiency and the related factors in it. The data were analyzed using frequencies, percentages, Mean, standard deviation, χ2-test, multiple regression analyses and hierachical regression. The following results were acquired: 1) The styles of the mothers' family resource management were in the rank of the seperated, the task-centered, the person-centered and the integrated. According to demographic variables, there was no significant difference, but there was, according to sex-role attitudes. 2) The styles of married daughters' family resource management were in the rank of the separated, the integrated, the person-centered and the task-centered. Among demographic variables, only level of education was significant. 3) Similarity was shown in the mothers' and their married daughters' family resource management styles. 4) The married daughter's efficiency of the management was influenced y accordance of residence, and her own management styles.

  • TPM(Total Productive Management) that is enforcing introducing more than $80\%$ in domestic manufacturing industry is using total plant efficiency by the evaluation index, and as a result, can see a lot of examples that plant productivity is increased. This study's purpose centers total productive management activities that is management system for total plant efficiency's maximization, plant information system that total productive management activities factor that is enforcing in manufacturing industry can develop evaluation model that can evaluate qualitative activities by quantitative activities in process that maximize total plant efficiency wishes to do design.
