The purpose of this study was to clarify the meaning of marine officer's self-efficacy, job satisfaction, definition of self-development and factors of determination. It shows that how their self-efficacy affects job satisfaction, self-development and that how their job satisfaction affects self-development. To achieve the purpose of the research, checked the definition and factors of marine officer's duty, self-efficacy, job satisfaction and self-development. Furthermore, cultivated a research model about the factors to influence between self-efficacy and job satisfaction, self-efficacy and self-development, job satisfaction and self-development. A result of hypothesis test by regression analysis is that 11 hypotheses were adopted among 17, and the rest of them were dismissed. The contents of hypotheses were set as follows; self-efficacy and internal job satisfaction, self-efficacy and external job satisfaction, self-efficacy and self-development, job satisfaction and self-development.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of news literacy in the relationship between sense of community and political efficacy. This study conducted a survey targeting the MZ generation. The survey was conducted online, and data from 309 cases were used for analysis. The research results are as follows. As a result of correlation analysis between sense of community, political efficacy, and news literacy, it was found that there was a statistically significant correlation between sense of community and news literacy sub factors. Second, the relationship between sense of community and political efficacy was found to have a significant positive effect on political efficacy as sense of community increased. Third, the relationship between sense of community and news literacy was confirmed to have a significant positive effect on news literacy as sense of community increased. Fourth, regarding the relationship between news literacy and political efficacy, it was confirmed that news literacy has a significant effect on political efficacy. Fifth, in the relationship between sense of community and political efficacy, news literacy was found to mediate the relationship between sense of community and political efficacy of the MZ generation. Based on the research results, news literacy education is required from the perspective of civic education, and differentiated educational contents by age are proposed.

This research aims to examine the role of writing self-efficacy in engineering students' writing metacognitive strategies and writing apprehension. To achieve this purpose, first, the relationships among writing self-efficacy, writing metacognitive strategies and writing apprehension were investigated. Second, the effects of writing self-efficacy, as perceived by engineering students, on writing metacognitive strategies as well as writing apprehension were explored. A total of 173 engineering students from one university in Korea responded to survey based on a three-variables scale. The findings were that, firstly, positive correlations between writing self-efficacy and writing metacognitive strategies were identified in terms of sub-factors of those two variables. Secondly, negative correlations between writing apprehension and writing self-efficacy, and between writing apprehension and writing metacognitive strategies, were identified in terms of sub-factors of those variables. Thirdly, writing self-efficacy predicted engineering students' writing metacognitive strategies' sub-factors and writing apprehension. The practical implications of these findings are discussed herein, with particular attention on education for promotion of writing self-efficacy and reduction of writing apprehension.

This article introduces the conceptual framework of self-efficacy and reviewes recent research articles which are related to development of self-efficacy in children. Self-efficacy means personal judgement about one's capability to organize his behavior in a specific situation. Perceived efficacy can have diverse effects on behavior, thought patterns and affective arousal. People acquire their efficacy information from their performance accomplishments, vicarious experiences, verbal persuasion and their physiological states. In this paper, I argue that two factors, psychological and environmental factor, contribute to the development of children's self-efficacy. Specifically reward, attributional feedback, social comparision and goal setting are classified to psychological factor and home environment, school environment and social environment belong to environmental factor. Since not many studies have been done in this area, in this paper I also suggest some directions for future research.

We investigated the effect of relative dielectric constant of front dielectric layer on the efficacy of plasma display panel. Dielectric materials with relative dielectric constant of around 6 and 7 were developed. When the front dielectric layer had a low relative dielectric constant, power consumption decreased more than luminance did. And it led to efficacy enhancement. However, the minimum sustain voltage increased.

In this study, a high luminous efficacy AC-PDP panel with long discharge gap and grooved dielectric layer has been studied. By applying this high efficacy concept and optimized driving waveform featuring negative biased sustain, ${\sim}2.6lm/W$ of luminous efficacy was achieved in 42- inch HD panel. Modified fabricating process and new discharge cell structure were investigated to obtain improved uniformity and operating characteristics.

Despite the organizational benefits of knowledge sharing among employees, many workers are reluctant to share their knowledge with their colleagues. Most organizations have taken a lot of actions to facilitate knowledge sharing among employees, including developing reward systems, enhancing social networks and interpersonal relationships and crafting organizational cultures that support knowledge sharing. To date, however, earlier studies have demonstrated that knowledge doesn't flow easily when an organization makes a concerted effort to facilitate knowledge sharing. The issue whether or not employees are motivated to share their knowledge with others is definitely the main concern in knowledge sharing. The purpose of this study is to explore the conditions under which employees are inclined to share knowledge with other members. Specifically, we examine the effect of knowledge self-efficacy on knowledge sharing intention. In addition, we attempt to investigate medicating effects of personal outcome expectation and performance-related outcome expectation on the relationship between knowledge self-efficacy and knowledge sharing intention. To test the proposed hypotheses in our study, we collected data via a survey with a sample of 210 employees in 23 firms in Korea. The major findings of the empirical research are as follows: 1) knowledge self-efficacy was positively related with knowledge sharing intention. 2) personal outcome expectation has turned out to have a mediation effect on the relationship between knowledge self-efficacy and knowledge sharing intention. 3) performance-related outcome expectation also mediates the relationship between knowledge self-efficacy and knowledge sharing intention That is, this result indicates that knowledge self-efficacy has indirect effect on knowledge sharing intention through personal outcome expectation and performance-related outcome expectation. Based on these findings, implications of the research findings and recommendation for future research are discussed.

The Purpose of this research was to examine the influence of university students' self-leadership and career decision self-efficacy upon career preparation behavior. A total of 342 participants in 1th ~ 3th grades from universities in Seoul. Result from multiple regression analysis indicated the following. First, self-leadership and career decision self-efficacy had an impact on career preparation behavior. Second self-leadership had impact an career decision self-efficacy. Third, career decision self-efficacy had an impact on career preparation behavior. The result showed that there was significant interaction. Finally, the limitations of this study and suggestions for future research on career path preparation behavior were discussed. The implication of this study is that self-leadership and self-efficacy can the university students' career path preparation behavior. This research findings, theoretical and practical implications were suggested. Consequently it mean that the career guide program for university student. Therefore, effective counseling strategies to enhance career preparation behavior.

Recently, self-efficacy is one of the critical constructs that have been found to influence human decisions about behavior selection and the performance associated with the selected behavior. The construct has been widely adaopted and tested in the fields of social psychology and/or other behavioral sciences. In information system field, however, it has been hardly studied, although computer self-efficiency could have been an important factor explaining and predicting human computer usage behaviors. From this perspective, main proposes of the study are : (1) to develop a measure of computer self-efficacy, 2) to identify the factors influencing self-efficacy, and 3) to reveal the relationship between self-efficacy and computer usage behavior. By reviewing the literature, past experience, others'use, encouragement by others, and anxiety are selected as the factors influencing computer self-efficacy. Four hypotheses concerning the relationship between each of the variables and computer self-efficacy are tested by LISREL. One more hypothesis about the relationship between computer self-efficacy and computer usage is also tested. The results show that computer self-efficacy is significantly influenced by computer ansiety, encouragement by others, and computer experience, and that it is closely correlated with computer usage behavior.

The Study of the Development of Efficacy Expectation Promoting Program and it's Effect for Cervical Spinal Cord Injury Patients. This study was conducted to develop on Efficacy Expectation Promoting Program (EEPP) based on the Self-Efficacy Theory of Bandura for Cervical Spinal Cord Injury Patient(CSCIP), and invesgated it's effects. The research process of this study was done in three phases. The first phase was an analysis of the patient's life experience. The second phase was to develop an Efficacy Expectation Promoting VTR Tape Program(EEPP) that reflected the life experience of the CSCIPS. EEPP was composed Performance Accomplishment and Vicarious Experience with a home visitation program based on Verbal Persuation, which are all induction modes of efficacy expectation of Bandura. The third phase was an experimental stage. The experimental design was an AB Single Experimental Design. Research subjects were three CSCIPs (cervical area 5-7). The data was collected from 24th June to 22th Oct, 1995. The result of the experimentation showed great increase self-efficacy score, subject self-care score, all competence of daily living score, and social activities. In conclusion, it was found that an EEPP is an effective home nursing intervention technique for rehabilitation of CSCIPs.
