직장어린이집 교사헌신과 교사효능감과의 관계 (A Relationship between Teacher Commitment and Teacher Efficacy in Workplace Child-Care Center)

  • 본 연구는 직장어린이집 교사들을 대상으로 교사헌신의 차이를 알아보고, 교사헌신과 교사효능감과의 관계를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 경기도 내에 소재한 직장어린이집 교사 176명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였으며 일원분산분석(ANOVA), Scheff$\acute{e}$ 사후검증, Pearson상관분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 교사헌신과 교사효능감은 높은 정적상관을 보였다. 직장어린이집 교사의 교사헌신은 높은 수준으로 나타났으며 영유아에 대한 헌신이 가장 높게 나타났다. 또한 교사의 학력과 경력 및 담당학급 영유아의 연령과 기관의 전체 교사 수에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 본 연구는 직장어린이집 교사의 내적 특성으로서 교사헌신을 지원할 수 있는 방안 마련의 기초자료를 제공하였다는데 의의가 있으며, 추후에는 유치원 및 어린이집 유형에 따른 교사헌신과 효능감을 연계지어 연구해 볼 필요가 있을 것이다.

어머니의 양육효능감이 유아의 정서조절력에 미치는 영향 : 어머니가 지각한 아버지 양육참여도의 역할 (The Effects of Mothers' Parenting Efficacy on Children's Emotional Regulation : The Role of Mothers' Perception of Fathers' Involvement in Child Care)

  • This study sought to illuminate a moderating effect of mother's perception of father's involvement on the associations between mother's parenting efficacy and child's emotional regulation. The participants in this study comprised 292 mothers whose children were aged between 4 and 5. The children were attending child care centers or kindergartens located in Seoul or Gyeonggi-do province in Korea. The questionnaires on mother's parental efficacy, father's parental involvement, and their children's emotional regulation were distributed to mothers through their child care centers or kindergartens. The results indicated a significant correlation among the variables. Although mothers' parenting efficacy had relatively higher effects upon their children's emotional regulation than their fathers' involvement, the effect of a fathers' involvement was still significant. In particular, the fathers' involvement in leisure activities moderated the effects of the mothers' parenting efficacy on children's emotional comprehension and regulation(one of the sub-factors of emotional regulation).

보육교사의 의사소통 능력, 대인관계 유능성, 그리고 가정연계 효능감이 부모-교사 협력에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Early Child Care Teachers' Communication Competence, Interpersonal Competence and Teacher Self-efficacy to Enlist Parental Involvement on Parent-Teacher Partnerships)

  • This study examined the characteristics of early child care teachers and the ways this influences their abilities to promote the parent-teacher partnerships. 266 early child care teachers participated in this study. Parent-teacher partnerships, communication competence, interpersonal competence, and teacher efficacy in enlisting parental involvement were measured by means of The Caregiver-Parent Partnership Scale, Global Interpersonal Communication Competence Scale, Interpersonal Competence Questionnaire and selected elements of the Teacher Self-efficacy Scale. The results indicated that parent-teacher partnerships were significantly different in terms of the characteristics of teachers. The hierarchical multiple regression analysis revealed that the communication competence, interpersonal competence, and teacher self-efficacy significantly predicted the type and quality of parent-teacher partnerships. In conclusion, improving the effectiveness of parent-teacher partnerships seems heavily dependent upon the quality and personal abilities an beliefs of early child care teachers.

보육교사의 자아존중감과 교수효능감 및 직무수행의 어려움 인식 간의 관계 분석 (A Study of the Relationship between Teachers' Efficacy and Difficulties on Job Performance Depended on Self-Esteem of Child Care Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 자아존중감과 교수효능감과 직무수행의 어려움 간의 관계를 분석해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 J지역 보육교사 282명을 대상으로 질문지 조사를 하였으며, 수집된 자료는 Peason 상관분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 첫째, 보육교사의 자아존중감은 교수효능감과 직무수행의 어려움 인식과 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 일반적 교수효능감은 자아존중감을 예측하는 중요한 요인이었으며 유아 보호 및 지도에 대한 어려움 인식이 더불어 중요한 요인으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 자아존중감의 중요성을 강조하고, 보육교사들이 자아존중감을 경험하고 제고할 수 있는 기회의 확대를 제안하였다.

보육교사의 교사적성과 과학태도가 과학교수효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Effect on Child Care Teacher's Self-efficacy in Teaching Science)

  • 이 연구는 보육교사의 교사적성, 과학태도가 과학교수효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 실시되었다. 연구대상은 어린이집 교사 297명이었으며 Science Teaching Efficacy Belief Instruments, Inventory of Science Attitudes, 보육교사적성 도구를 사용하여 연구자료를 평가하였다. 수집된 자료는 Pearson의 적률 상관계수와 단계적 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 먼저 보육교사의 적성은 과학교수 개인효능감, 과학교수 결과기대감, 과학교수효능감과 정적인 상관관계가 있었다. 둘째, 과학태도 중 과학에 대한 흥미와 과학의 사회적 가치는 과학교수 개인효능감, 과학교수 결과기대감, 과학교수효능감과 정적인 상관관계가 있었다. 그러나 과학과 과학자에 대한 인식 자체는 과학교수 개인효능감과 유의미한 상관을 보이지 않았다. 마지막으로 과학교수효능감에 영향을 미치는 보육교사적성과 과학태도를 살펴본 결과, 과학교수 개인효능감에 대해 과학에 대한 흥미와 긍정적 정서가 영향을 미치고, 과학교수 결과기대감에 대해서는 과학의 사회적 가치, 과학과 과학자에 대한 인식, 대인관계능력이 영향을 미쳤으며, 과학교수효능감에 대해서는 과학에 대한 흥미, 과학의 사회적 가치, 긍정적 정서, 대인관계능력이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과가 보육교사의 과학교수효능감을 증가시켜 영유아교육 현장에서 바람직한 과학교수가 이루어질 수 있도록 하는데 기초적 자료로 활용될 수 있으리라 기대해 본다.

어린이집 교사의 직무 스트레스와 효능감이 교사 행동의 질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Teachers' Job Stress and Belief of Efficacy on the Quality of Teachers' Interaction Behaviors in Child Care)

  • Data were collected from 120 teachers at 67 childcare centers in Seoul and Kyunggi-Do. The Assessment Scale for Day Care Programs(Rhee et ai., 2003) was used to observe teachers' interaction behaviors. Subjects responded to the teachers' job stress scale developed by the author and a modified version of teachers' efficacy scale based on the Science Teaching Efficacy Belief Instrument(Enochs & Riggs, 1990). Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations, and hierarchical regressions. Results showed that quality of teachers' interaction behaviors correlated negatively with teachers' job stress, and positively with teachers' personal efficacy; teachers' belief of efficacy moderated the relationship between job stress and teachers' interaction behaviors.

어린이집의 직무환경과 교사효능감 간의 관계에서 교사 정서지능의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effects of Teacher Emotional Intelligence in the Relationship Between Job Environments and Teacher Efficacy)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of teacher emotional intelligence in the relationship between job environments and teacher efficacy. Methods: Participants of this study were 205 child care teachers from U-city. Correlation analysis between variables was conducted with the collected data, and regression analysis was conducted to verify the mediating effect of emotional intelligence in the relationship between the job environment of daycare centers and teacher efficacy. Results: First, there was a positive correlation between job environments, teacher efficacy, and teacher emotional intelligence. Second, job environments and teacher emotional intelligence had a significant direct effect on teacher efficacy and teacher emotional intelligence also had a significant indirect effect between job environments and teacher efficacy. Conclusion/Implications: The way to improve the quality of child care is to improve the quality of teachers. Among the teacher's competencies, it is very important to increase teacher efficacy. Teacher efficacy plays a very important role in the quality of childcare and the healthy development of toddlers and children. In order to increase teacher efficacy, policy support for the job environment and training support to increase teacher efficacy are considered necessary.

Changes in oral health knowledge and self-efficacy of parents using an application of caries management in children

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects that appeared to parents after conducting a dental caries management program for 12 months using a mobile application for systematic caries management of children. Methods: Parents responded to a questionnaire on oral care self-efficacy and oral health knowledge at the baseline, and received feedback on a management program suitable for their child's caries risk group for 12 months through a mobile application. At the end of 12 months, the questionnaire was re-written. Results: The self-efficacy of oral care increased in the low risk group, and oral care knowledge and program satisfaction were highest in the parents of low risk children. Conclusions: Base on the results of the this study, It was confirmed that parents' self-efficacy, knowledge, performance and satisfaction were all positively evaluated through the oral care program using a mobile application.

보육교사 대상 방문 및 스마트폰 앱 기반 감염예방교육 프로그램 효과: 비무작위 대조군설계 (Effect of Visiting and a Smartphone Application Based Infection Prevention Education Program for Child Care Teachers: A Non-Randomized Controlled Trial)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to develop an infection prevention education program for child care teachers and to verify its effects. Methods: The study was conducted using a nonequivalent control group with a pretest-posttest design. Four private daycare centers (2 centers per city) that were alike in terms of the number of children by age, number of child care teachers, and child care environment were chosen. Participants were assigned to the experimental group (n=20) or control group (n=20). As a part of the program, visiting education (90 min) was provided in the 1st week, and smartphone application education (10 min) was provided thrice a week, in the 2nd and 3rd weeks. Results: Child care teachers' self-efficacy for infection prevention revealed a significant interaction effect between the group and time of measurement (F=21.62, p<.001). In terms of infection prevention behavior, a significant difference was observed between the experimental and control groups (z=-5.36, p<.001). Conclusion: The program implemented in this study was effective in improving the infection prevention self-efficacy and infection prevention behavior of child care teachers. Thus, this program may be effective in enhancing their infection control.

보육교사의 임파워먼트와 교직지향성 및 교직지향 이유의 관계 (The Relationships between Empowerment and Child Care Teachers' Intention of Teaching, the Reason for Teaching Intent)

  • This study was designed to examine the relationships between empowerment and child care teachers' intention of teaching, the reason for teaching intent. The subjects were 181 child care teachers from Chungcheongnamdo and the city of Daejeon, Korea. This study was conducted using questionnaires. The results were as follows: first, there were significant relationships between empowerment and child care teachers' intention of teaching and, the reason for teaching intent. There were positive relationships between decision making, professional growth, status, self-efficacy, autonomy, impact empowerment and child care teacher' intention of teaching and, the reason for teaching intent. Second, child care teachers' intention of teaching and the reason for teaching intent were affected by empowerment. Status and professional growth empowerment were the most predictive variables for the child care teachers' intention of teaching. The impact and self-efficacy empowerment were the most predictive variables for enjoy working with children, impact and professional growth empowerment were the most predictive variables for finding meaning in teaching, impact and status empowerment were the most predictive variables for opportunities to face ongoing challenges, and achievement motive. Status empowerment were the most predictive variable for reasonable pay and working environment, stability and skill. Therefore, status and impact empowerment were the most predictive variable for the reason for teaching intent.
